I ordered a piece of cake and a piece of banana cream pie. The cake was far too sweet; definitely made to appeal to a child's palette. I liked the pie; though, it was heavier on the cream than it was on the banana filling; they need to work on their ratios. My partner had a gluten free whoopie pie and similarly found the filling to be far too sweet.

As a dairy and gluten-free person, this is my favorite place in Pahoa. Amazing sweet and savory treats, at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit.

My mother in law INSISTED we visit this bakery while we were in town and she was right to do so!! Great dessert and savory pastries; definitely try the knish and lillikoi cheesecake. Shop had lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. Also great were the giant oatmeal creme pie cookies in several flavors.
