Stopped in for a coffee on my way from Two Step to Kona. The gluten free brownies tasted like the real deal and my iced Haupia Caramel latte was perfectly creamy and slightly sweet. Definitely add this to your list if you’re visiting.

I either have Celiac Disease or am just gluten sensitive (idk which). This place has gluten free cinnamon rolls, and they are FANTASTIC! You cannot tell they are gluten free. My only tip: The gluten free cinnamon rolls did not come warm and gooey like the regular cinnamon rolls did for other people in my party. HOWEVER, if you warm them up in the microwave, they’re fresh, hot, and gooey! Delicious! Oh, and BIG!

Came here because a gluten free wrap option was specifically mentioned by the owners in these reviews. They do not offer a gluten free wrap so don't expect to get that here. They offer gluten free bread but not exactly the same when you are looking for a breakfast burrito. They also advertise online ordering with no options to select gluten free substitutes. Disappointed.

Great selection, couldn’t decide so got 7 things (!!) and all are so tasty. Favorite thus far Ube Haupia Coconut pie. Gluten free options are plentiful and appreciated. And it’s reasonable. Keep it up with the $2 brownie and cookie bars - us value shoppers say mahalo for your kokua.

Great place for variety. Portion sizes are large and plentiful. The wait staff are lovely and were very informed about gluten free requirements. Have eaten here twice during my stay and no issues after eating. Great gluten free choices available. The fries are cooked separately and are gf also! Thank you for a wonderful meal. If you want to come and eat here, come early as it's very popular and you may have to line up and wait a little, but the line moves quickly.

Stayed in Paia and was able to walk to Mana Food Mart. Was shocked at how low their prices were. And they have the biggest selections. This was a huge deal for me since I am on a gluten free diet.

I just love this place! First and foremost the staff is amazing, I came here with my 9 month old and my hands were full, and I believe the employee’s name was Daryl, he went out of his way to help me. I couldn’t have been more grateful…this isn’t off that one experience, I’ve been here nearly everyday for a month. The staff here is very kind, and the atmosphere is great! The coffee never disappoints, and being that I’m gluten free, there aren’t many options, but the ones I do have are amazing. Highly recommend their cappuccinos, and their gluten free almond cake, and their gluten free chocolate caramel dome.

The owner of Haloe Girl Sweets is amazing; she’s experienced and has significant knowledge about gluten free baking. The kitchen is mindful of cross contamination, and display gluten free treats in a separate case. Their muffins are delightful: carrot cake, banana bread, and tara. Their oatmeal baked bars are phenomenal; I keep going back for more! Highly recommend going for people with celiac!!

Very expensive pie, and it was not my favorite. We had amazing pies on Maui when we visited and this just didn't compare. I will say that they have gluten free options which is awesome and hard to find for a pie place. It's also out of the way and in a little bit of a weird location. The worker was nice and helpful. Again, I just don't think $40 for a small pie, that is just okay, is worth it so I don't recommend!

We had a slice of the ‘ulu banana bread at Bean About Town, Kaimuki. When we asked if we could buy a loaf, she told us about the brick and mortar store in Chinatown. The baked goods are sold inside Po’ai, which is a coffee + other N/A drinks and handmade crafts by local vendors. It’s a cool place but we were there to buy loafs of the ‘ulu banana bread. This is hands down the best vegan gluten free banana bread! It’s fluffy, not dense like most GF baked goods and it’s so flavorful without being overly sweet. The chocolate chip cookies are crunchy (not a fan of soft, chewy cookies) and delicious! We bought a lot as gifts to give to our non-vegan relatives to try.

Fantastic service, coffee and sweets! From what I Could tell, most if not all were vegan/gluten free!The staff is extremely friendly and offered several free samples of Halva and a tea they offer. Also tried the pistachio bites, very delicious pairing with a coffee! Prices are pretty fair considering it’s Waikiki. Will return again!

1st Visit: I ordered Loco Moco with hamburger but received pork. No worries, it was decent, and they were slammed (full parking lot). My partner had the Chicken Papaya salad that lady at the register recommended since she has a gluten allergy (not a preference) and had asked for recommendations. The lady gave a short "well off the top of my head" slightly rude response, which seemed odd, but we brushed it off. My partner absolutely loved the salad! So much so that we had to return! I also want to mention that the wait was reasonable and the restaurant was well kept and clean. 2nd Visit a few days later: I grabbed a Burrito at the Taco shop that shares the same building (excellent choice BTW). My partner got the Papaya salad at Hana Hou again and simply asked if there was anything that needed to be left off for it to be gluten-free, again because it's an allergy situation and she wanted to double check if it had to made differently since she specified GF prior. It's quite common for the GF option to have an ingredient substituted or left off. Since it's an allergy, we always specify that to make the restaurant aware so that it's prepared correctly. The same lady from before again seemed agitated and gave a snarky response about it being GF already. Like eating out with a food allergy isn't already tough enough. Being treated poorly for asking a simple food allergy related question is simply unacceptable. The parking lot was empty and we were the only ones at either restaurant.. so it's not like she was flustered during a busy rush or something. Both times, we were kind, so the rudeness was one-sided for no apparent reason. We literally gave her the benefit of the doubt since it was busy the first time. We will not be making that mistake again. I wasn't going to leave a review as I don't like to leave negative reviews on small businesses. However, after two similar negative experiences and seeing the negative reviews from others, the rude attitude appears to be common, which is honestly just unfortunate. Based on the numerous complaints of rudeness, along with the unprofessional responses to negative reviews, I suggest someone else deal with the customers and review responses. It'll be better for the customers and the business in my humble opinion. 2 out of 5 for the delicious Chicken Papaya Salad Aloha ✌️

This place is legendary! I never understood why my ohana loves this place. Recently I went there for a late dinner I was pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was. I'm unable to eat most pastries because of gluten allergies but they have the best cheesecake!!! And the line was out the door for pastries so I jumped in and purchased their cream puffs & other delights and the boxs of desert was gone as soon as I went through the door! 💞🤣😋

We were only on Kauai for 6 days and made 4 trips to the bakery, trying a number of their delightful treats. After consuming a bag of their sweet potato cookies, we decided that was the perfect gift to take home. We absolutely loved their coconut macaroons and the cheesecake, returning on one trip just to get another. Their sweets are real, made with butter and cane sugar and often with gluten free almond flour. If you are in the Lihu’e area, this is a must stop. We had chosen to buy food in a grocery store rather than eating out, but their sweet treats made it a requirement to break that rule to get their delicacies.

Pretty good food, lots of options as long as you’re there before they sell out. I feel like the pastries would be better warmed up a little. Service was not overly friendly. Also, waited a long time for the quiche which was very crispy by the time we got it. Flavor was good, crust was a little burnt though. Not much for gluten free options. Cinnamon roll was ok, a little dry and would have probably been better warm.
