Went to try gluten free and vegan options. I got the vegan Oreo cake and my mom got the gluten free caramel coffee cake - they were delicious! Like beyond good, I would never know that cake was vegan. I even saved half the Oreo cake in the hotel fridge, had it the next day and it was even better than I remembered. We are going to try to go back before we leave NYC and try more of the vegan / gf options

Mia’s Brooklyn Bakery near Times Square is incredibly small—there’s only room for about two or three people to stand inside at a time. The staff was neutral, not particularly friendly but not rude either. I visited specifically to try their gluten-free options, and while they were good, they weren’t anything spectacular. The gluten-free vegan chocolate peanut butter cake had a nice texture and flavor, and the hazelnut tart was enjoyable as well. The macarons were probably the best part, except for the crème brûlée macaron, which was disappointingly tough and stale. One major downside is the significant cross-contamination. If you have celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivity, I wouldn’t recommend coming here. Overall, it’s an okay spot for a quick gluten-free treat, but not a must-visit.
