Very good attention and good service, but as for the gluten-free pizzas, they should warn you that it is a purchased base and not homemade, so that I can decide without ordering it or not because in my case I don't like that dough.
Totally recommended site for people with celiac disease. Both the attention and the food. My 6 year old daughter was able to eat everything she wanted and the service was unbeatable.
We will be back for sure!❤️
I want to share my terrible experience at the "La Cala" restaurant in Punta del Moral, Ayamonte, especially aimed at people with celiac disease who are looking to eat safely. My visit ended in gluten poisoning, the result of gross negligence and, even worse, the establishment's lack of honesty.
From the first moment, I informed the staff that I have celiac disease and specifically asked if they could prepare gluten-free fried food (bacalaillas, anchovies and choco). The waitress assured me that there would be no problem and that everything would be adjusted to make it safe for me. Based on that statement, we placed the order.
When the dishes started arriving, we asked another waiter again if the dishes were indeed gluten-free. His answer was clear: “yes, everything gluten-free.” Trusting that confirmation, I proceeded to eat.
However, minutes later, they began to bring new dishes, this time clearly identified as gluten-free, with a different look and taste than the previous ones. It was evident that the first dishes I ate contained gluten. We immediately informed the staff and, instead of acknowledging the error, they simply flatly denied it, insisting that everything was acceptable, something that did not correspond to either the procedure followed or the real taste of the dishes.
The result was food poisoning, with all the physical and emotional consequences that this implies for a person with celiac disease. But the most serious thing was not only the failure in the kitchen, but also the total lack of professionalism and empathy in the response. In the face of such a serious failure, the least expected is to take responsibility, apologize sincerely and act honestly. Here, on the contrary, they chose to hide the error, deny it and minimize a very serious health problem.
I do not recommend this restaurant under any circumstances to anyone who has celiac disease or has special dietary needs. Health is not a game nor can it depend on the improvisation or misinformation of an establishment. This experience has been disappointing, frustrating and, above all, dangerous.
I hope that this review serves to warn future customers and that the restaurant becomes aware of the seriousness of what happened.
Spectacular location. Right on the beach. The food is a delight. Elaborate burgers, nachos...everything delicious. And most importantly, they take great care with gluten-free options for those with celiac disease. They adapt almost every dish.
First of all: what an illusion that bets like this exist in the mountains! It's always an adventure to find something without meat
Also: there are adaptations for celiacs.
Then: lovely and attentive staff
Last: delicious food at a good price
Summary: Highly recommended!
We ate very well. They have an allergen menu and they answer your questions and adapt the dish. The pork loin was very delicious and I liked the mushroom and Iberian rice and the pork tenderloin.
They have gluten-free bread and beer.
High quality food. The grilled prawns are spectacular. Alejandro is a magnificent waiter who quickly and agilely serves 12 tables at a time. Congratulations on the professionalism. They also have gluten-free bread.
Looking forward to returning!
Variety of gluten-free tapas, they are specialists in the subject, they give you the security of eating without worry, good service and reasonable prices
We were eating, the food and the service were very good.
It was cold inside the premises and despite saying so and trying to correct it, we were cold during the meal, the women's service did not have toilet paper.
They didn't have gluten free bread. I think it is essential in this category of restaurants.
Very good food, spectacular mango salad and very good desserts.
Good value for money
100% recommendable, we are having dinner and everything is perfect, super good food and 10 service, plus my daughter is celiac and all the fried fish is adapted for celiacs, practically the entire menu, a surprise that we have had and that will surely be ours reference site
From the sea to the plate! The owner brings the fish that they serve on the day! Perfect attention and service, pets are allowed on the terrace with artificial grass, very cozy and pleasant. The food is spectacular, almost the entire menu is available with gluten and gluten-free, with an exclusive fryer for celiacs, and everything comes out spectacular. We ordered the special frying, and the shrimp pancakes, perfect and delicious. Even the rice pudding is good! If you are celiac this is your place in Islantilla! ! Thanks for everything!
My family and I went last week and we were surprised. Lots of quality, fresh tuna, fried fish, and a salmorejo that surprised everyone. All fried foods can be made gluten-free and the waiters are very knowledgeable. They bring gluten-free bread and the menu is very extensive for celiacs. 100% recommended quality/price and the desserts… crazy, especially the lotus cake (this one is not gluten-free)
Everything rich. We tried ham, scrambled artichokes and meat.
They have the allergens under control and they explain everything to you.
Quite acceptable gluten-free bread.
We had lunch and everything we ordered was delicious. They took into account all the gluten-free options we asked for. Very good service. And the glasses of wine they gave us were also excellent, especially the one they gave us from the county of Huelva. Very good choice if you are in Aracena
I have always eaten very well at an adequate price. Complete portions and freshly prepared cuisine. Extreme attention to celiacs. Very attentive, friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended.
Good place to eat in Matalascañas. Grilled meats, coastal fish. Good quality and price. A detail for celiacs GLUTEN FREE BURGERS #GLUTEN FREE. Gluten-free bread and snacks, gluten-free fries...thank you for remembering the celiac community.
Magnificent gluten-free anchovies, scrumptious tuna belly... All delicious. We had dinner on the patio, beautiful, charming... A highly recommended place to definitely repeat!!
The charming place and with a very good presence. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the girl who served us explained perfectly what I could and could not eat due to my two intolerances, gluten and milk protein, and she made several suggestions... and to conclude, the food was so exquisite that We reserve to repeat the next day. Delighted with this restaurant.
Several gluten-free dishes are on the menu and the waiters give you several possibilities to adapt almost any dish for celiacs. Very delicious food and very friendly service. Recommendable!
Great value for money, very good food, and excellent staff. Great location, facing the sea. And very important for us, they have fried food for celiacs.
We were on vacation in the area in July, they had told us about the place, but it exceeded our expectations, since almost all the fish has a gluten-free option, everything is super fresh and of good quality, in fact we went several times because it is spectacular, the Super professional waiters, the owner is a charm and the food is unbeatable and the quality/price ratio is great, we will repeat next year without a doubt, I was delighted with the place, really.
We have eaten great. There are few gluten-free options but what we ordered was delicious. Octopus and a wok of cod in cider and rice pudding for dessert. Furthermore, my boyfriend has been able to order tapas separately. Very friendly staff. Super recommended, we will definitely return!!
The best burger restaurant in the province of Huelva without a doubt, at the level of the TOP in the country. Juanito bread, top quality meat and tasty and spectacular combinations, including one with kangaroo meat. The "spooner duck" in the photo and the "tasmanian devil" burger are recommended. The cured meat croquettes are sublime. Gluten-free bread available, paradise for celiacs. To repeat over and over again.
GLUTEN-FREE SUITABLE place for both breakfast and lunch, the BREAD is very good, they don't put the shit like many places do…. of sliced bread.
You can eat a GLUTEN-FREE montadito from the menu.
In general, recommended, although they could improve in having some more dishes, although I already said that there is great variety.
Excellent service and top-notch food.
The spectacular cheek and the attention from the cook, when she was informed that we were going with a celiac person, who bothered to come out and give us all kinds of explanations, we are infinitely grateful.
Newly opened (since we were last here), another great wee gem in the Sierra de Aracena. The food is really good and known for Argentinian cuts of beef. They were also able to cater for our guests that needed gluten free food.
Perfect restaurant for celiacs. Fry with gluten-free flour, changing oil and keeping everything separately correctly. A great option, good treatment and delicious food!

Gastronomic jewel in Aracena. My congratulations to the cook and the waitress. We have cleared the plates. The eggplant muffin is to take your hat off.
The exquisite cheek. We leave very happy and satisfied. Good care for celiacs.
We will be back.
Recommended site, excellent treatment. As if you were at home, recommendation of all the dishes on the menu and off the menu and a success. Delicious. We traveled to Matalascañas and stopped to eat, everything was delicious and treating gluten intolerance from the beginning, it was a pleasure to eat here. Very nice owners and exceptional treatment.
Very very good food, homemade and super priced for being in the center of Aracena. Perfect choice for celiacs since practically the entire menu is gluten-free except for the fried foods. Otherwise, no cross contamination and unbeatable service

The place has a lot of charm, next to the port of Ayamonte. Great for tapas. There are gluten-free donut options (separately) and they accept your pet indoors.
