I was deeply disappointed by our experience this time. I’ve eaten here before and it was amazing so I was really looking forward to going back.
For context:
In our family we have celiac and gluten allergies,so our orders have to be correct for our health and safety, so I made sure to make abundant notes on our order. I even called ahead before ordering to confirm they could accommodate us. They assured us they could.
I placed my order for 2 GF pizzas hours ahead of time for a scheduled pickup.
When I arrived, the cashier informed me I was wrong and that only one pizza was ordered gluten free. I had my screenshots to prove otherwise. The employee was curt and unhelpful. They said they will remake the pizza but now I’m running late. Since this is supposed to be one of the few safe places we can eat while traveling, I do need to wait for my pizza since this is our dinner. But after dealing with rude employees, now I wonder if I can even trust that the food will be made in a safe manner. A different woman who brought the pizzas out after the remake was polite and apologized. But I won’t be coming back here.
A cozy spot known for its tasty dishes and standout desserts, offering a variety of options that keep everyone satisfied.

We came in because of the gluten free options and we’re very happy that we did. I had the shrimp pasta because gluten isn’t a problem for me and it was delicious my wife had a tri tip sandwich with gluten free bread and she was only able to eat half, lucky me gets the other half for lunch. All in all it was a pleasant experience and the service was great.

Delicious food in a chic and welcoming atmosphere. Our waiter Matt went above and beyond to help us have a great meal! Plenty of gluten free options, and the staff was knowledgeable about what could or could not be altered to make it gluten free.
Amazing homemade warm corn tortilla chips and a variety of salsas make this spot a must-visit for taco lovers celebrating special moments.

We Went to this place as it's highly rated, but it doesn't live up to the hype.
I concur with several comments about Food. It's below average and over priced.
Service is way below average as most of the servers are college kids who are just looking to get quick cash. Our server didn't mention that churros were gluten free hence it'll feel like you're eating raw dough as a filling. Also missed that burritos are served with sauce on it and not on the side. So eating chicken burrito was a very messy affair.
The overall ambience of the place was the only thing that was worth it and that too is primarily because of the patrons.
Quick tip: things die down around 7:30-8:00 pm, so better to visit this place around 7.
A must-stop for tasty vegan cheeses and sandwiches, with a huge selection that'll keep you coming back for more!

Delicious!! 100% plant based with gluten free options which was great for sandwiches. My sister and I got the caprese sandwich with chickpea salad for a side. It was SO GOOD!!!
We also did the cheese flight and it was so good we bought 4 full cheese blocks after. So excited to order some of their products online!
My sister is not vegan and she loved it. It’s really good even if you’re not plant based.
One spot stands out for its incredibly tasty pizza that pairs perfectly with playful family vibes and a fun atmosphere.

This is the best pizza ever! Gluten free and regular are both hands down the best pizza we’ve ever tasted! We have one gluten free kiddo and the rest of family eats regular crust and Marv’s made it so easy!!!! Thank you Marv’s!!
I'm a Los Angeles Nutritionist for 25 years so I love the fact that they have gluten free crust and cater to special requests. The Paso Robles store is a mess. We were up for a big family gathering staying in a hotel near this location. After an exhausting day my daughter ordered from the app using my card and a few hours later we got an ice cold pizza with nothing that we ordered on them and everything we did not order. My pizza tasted like someone dumped a jar of salt on it and it had gluten. It had meat that I don't eat and the order was completely wrong as well. It could have been someone else's order. It was a Saturday night around 8:30 to 9 so I'm sure they are busy but come on. We had to leave to go to another place to get food and since we already had to drive I offered to bring back the bad pizzas to get my card credited of about $43 not including the delivery service and tip for two personal pizzas. I was told I'd get a credit later that week by the manager and it's now June 3rd and no refund. I just took time from work to call and was told the manager is "in the bathroom" and "I don't know what to do" call back. They don't always answer the phone there. The recording says "our restaurants are often busy" go to Blaze.com. Well they won't be busy if you keep losing people like me to bad service and inedible pizzas. I was sent to two other phone numbers and still no luck. I guess neither Paso or SLO locations have a manager. 2 out of 5 of the kids I spoke to were polite. One female was rude and said he was in the bathroom to call back in 4 minutes. I did and was told there was no manager. Mistakes happen but make it right. Also if you are CELIAC or have anaphylactic allergies this is not worth taking a chance. It can mean life or death for some of my patients. My advice is avoid this Blaze if you have food allergies or want to edible food, and if they get it wrong go there yourself to check the order and pay. I will not prepay at Blaze again. I'm not sure if I will be going to Blaze anymore in LA. It left a salty taste in my mouth. I will email them and see if they credit me and update if so.
Perfect for a casual lunch or dinner, featuring standout pasta and a solid wine selection, though the service could be improved.

We visited Cello for a special birthday dinner, and were we disappointed. It’s taken six weeks for me to finally write this, as I’d like to be objective, but suffice it to say, I don’t have much good to share.
Back to the beginning:
It was my wife’s 60th birthday and we wanted a special meal in a special setting. She can’t do gluten, dairy, or msg, and she phoned a week in advance to be sure they could accommodate her dietary restrictions. She was assured they prepared the meals to order and the chef could adjust as necessary. She also asked for a quiet, out of the way table…. Unbeknownst to her, I had a bouquet of roses sent ahead.
We arrive and the hostess acknowledged our reservation and my wife’s prior call. She then plunked us at a table that would barely hold our plates and glassware, certainly not a vase and bouquet, and about 10 inches from a group of four. We asked to be moved and were, without a fuss.
Betsy was our server. She seemed friendly enough, but definitely not attentive. We discussed the allergies and she basically said there was little my wife could eat. Meals were prepared ahead of time, so sauces couldn’t be altered (or created from scratch),proteins were limited due to marinades or preparation limitations,
and no starches as the potatoes were mashed with butter ahead of time - they couldn’t even boil a potato? We had her talk to the kitchen a couple of times, with little progress, but in the mean time we notice gluten-free pasta available as an option. We suggested that, she checked, and the kitchen agreed they could use that as a starch, even though it wasn’t specific to the protein - gee whiz!
She ordered the rack of lamb ($68’ish), which was very fatty and greasy. Not sure what the cook did to the gluten-free pasta, but it appears they smashed it to bits with a hammer, over-boiled it, and then poured the mush on the plate. It was horrible and any cook/chef should be embarrassed to send it out. We told the server, and according to her manager (Lauren), the exec chef was so embarrassed that they comped us a bottle of wine from the adjacent vineyard - we took it with us. Not bad, but over-priced.
Speaking of wine, as this was a special occasion we decided to splurge on an expensive (for us) bottle of wine (>$100). Betsy complimented us on the choice. I told her we were in no hurry for the meal and we’d like the wine decanted so it had a chance to breathe. Betsy assured us that the lamb was the slowest meal to come out of the kitchen, and we had a good 25 minutes or more.
After 10 minutes and no wine (and no Betsy), we flagged down someone to ask about our wayward server. Betsy came by our table to say the wine was out of stock; perhaps we’d like to try something else (but she didn’t have a wine list with her). However, before I could even ask for the wine list, our food shows up! The evening pretty much fell off a cliff by this point.
I had the beef short rib ($56), but did not realize if was “deconstructed “. They took the beef, kinda rolled it in a ball, and stuck a sliver of a rib bone in it - like a beef popsicle. It wasn’t horrible, but not worth the price. However the gnocchi was absolute rubbish - it was way past crispy (more like crunchy) on the outside and crumbly dry inside - tasted bad and felt bad.
So, to wrap up, these guys completely dropped the ball. They blew it when they assured us allergies could be accommodated, they blew it with the wine service, they blew it with the food. Way overpriced for the quality of food and service.
The only positive was Lauren. She was obviously sorry for the mess laid at her feet, and was professional and gracious dealing with it. However she alone can’t fix this place. I wonder if, because the restaurant is inside the Allegretto Resort, they aren’t worried about local business and return customers. Regardless, I do not recommend you waste your time and money visiting here.
One last thing. The restrooms were way too far from the restaurant and hard to find (down a hallway past the resort check-in desk).

Delicious pork belly, shrimp, and carne asada tacos! Loved each flavor. Subbed the crema sauce on the shrimp for a slightly spicy habanero salsa and it was perfect. Also got corn tortillas for my gluten free needs.
Service was great; atmosphere was perfect for a breezy, sunny lunch outside. I’d love to wfh here if I lived in town!

I’m a local and Taste is one of our family’s favorite restaurants in Downtown Paso. Not only do we love the ambiance (relaxed with great decor and an outdoor dining option), we love their food! The fries with garlic aioli, Cowboy cobb salad, berry vinaigrette salad, and the Gouda mac n cheese with bbq pulled pork are some of our favorites. I’m partial to the assortment of chicken sliders (that I get lettuce wrapped), while my husband loves the beef and lamb. As someone who is gluten sensitive, it’s also great that their salad dressings and fries are gluten-free—and they have a gluten-free mac n cheese option!
With a lively atmosphere featuring a diverse drink selection and live music on weekends, this spot is perfect for gatherings with friends and pets!

Blast & Brew is so amazing that you’ll come back again and again! Antonio is a master chef- the cranberry apple chicken salad is delicious and the chicken literally melts in your mouth 😋 - as well as being an awesome manager who makes sure everything runs smoothly, and helps his staff wherever they need him to be! The entire staff is friendly and welcoming, when you eat here you’ll feel like you’re hanging out with friends. Every single dish we’ve tried is wonderful, and they have options for gluten free and other dietary restrictions available. The beer wall is filled with tasty choices, and it’s not just beer! Cider, wine, IPAs and much more! If you sit outside on a Saturday night you’ll enjoy live music as well!
Give Blast & Brew a try- you will love it! And you can bring your dogs too!!

It's like being in France, the attention to detail, the wines, everything was exquisite. There were multiple options for my gluten free diet, including dessert. I highly recommend making this restaurant a stop when in Paso Robles. Popular, make a reservation in advance.

We've eaten here several times. The curries and pad thai are delicious! You should try the pumpkin curry, which they have year round. They even have gluten free options for those of us that can't eat wheat. Just FYI, they have limited seating, so keep that in mind (it's more of a takeout spot).
Great food, great price, and great service! We'll be back...(mic drop)
I am a local and have been to Della’s a handful of times, had great meals and experiences.
Super cute spot with a fun cocktail menu and local wines by the glass. My favorite dish was the Ciao de pepe pizza and the cauliflower gluten free crust was the best I’ve ever had..
They recently changed their recipe, and we were warned by friends. We gave it a try and were sorely disappointed. Especially for the price.
$25 for an 18 inch pizza and there was barely any sauce or cheese. And the dough wasn’t cooked. There was flour all over the bottom, got all over us.
The meatballs and pesto pasta was bland. The fried artichoke appetizer was very greasy and salty. $8 for a plastic ramekin of hummus!?
I know Della’s can do better.
We continually run into this issue in Paso, inconsistent food quality. We have a steady stream of tourism coming from San Francisco and LA, two of the best food destinations in the country. If we can’t offer consistently good dining experiences we are going to lose as a community. I’m sorry to take this out on Della’s but it was my last straw..
Mole sauce is fantastic and very different than the usual. Less sweet, a little spicy, more complex. Horchata is also more spiced than sweet. Very helpful for gluten free requests.
We absolutely loved Ian and Somm's Kitchen. This was one of the top 5 meals of our lifetime, and that doesn't even count the unbelievable wine pairings! Ian was so accommodating to our dietary restrictions (Gluten Free + Vegetarian), definitely don't that that keep you from booking. During the cheese course, one guest exclaimed, "I could be buried in this!"
Stopped here to pick up food one morning to go. We had ordered ahead over the phone no problem. When we picked the food up, we noticed they had gluten free muffin options, so we added one of those and 2 iced coffees on. The food was awesome! My bf and I had scrambles, two people I were with got the burrito and it look amaaaazing. The muffin was warmed up for us without asking and it was delicious. I give 4 stars instead of 5 bc the girl helping us wasn't very nice and seemed extremely uniterested, and there were only 3 creamers out to put in our coffees, and everyone was so busy you couldn't get anyone's attention to ask for more. Overall I would definitely come back here though and stay for mimosas.
Good place to eat seafood in Paso. Menu is predictable but that doesn't detract from the quality of the food. Gluten-free fettuccine is available upon request. Their creme brulee is not five stars but better than most I've had. Overall, would visit again.
With unique offerings like Eggplant Parmesan and an open kitchen vibe, this spot impresses with its standout dishes and attention to detail.

I so appreciate that Etto Pasta Bar has 5 gluten free entrees on their menu. It's very difficult to find any other restaurants locally that have 5 very good entrees that I can enjoy. Keep doing that please! I recently enjoyed the roasted chicken. It was perfectly cooked and I can't wait to get back to try the Eggplant Parmesan. I have never seen GF Eggplant on any other menu. My husband thought the lasagne was one of the best he's had. The service is very good and if you watch the open kitchen, it's obvious that everyone is paying attention to details. This place is a gem!
Loved everything about this place! 😍 from the cool plant lady to the coffee bar, bakery with gluten free vegan cupcakes, beer bar, vegan cheese Cafe. It's almost like they created this place just for me lol I just can't believe it 😂😍
Mr. Pickle's is delicious. Their gluten free wraps are great & so are their preparations, which is nice for the Celiacs out there like me. I've never been glutened at one of their shops, so be sure to ask for gluten allergy prep & ask to have them change their gloves. If you get a hot sandwich, the wrap is extra yummy warm. I usually go this route, but the cold wraps are nearly as good, too. For the gluten eaters, my family loves the Dutch Crunch & Sourdough breads they have. Enjoy!
This family place is wonderful, their food is great (Gluten Free #11 with corn tortillas & verde sauce), their service is very attentive, their actual happiness to see your party is well fed, enjoying their time in the restaurant, & tending to any needs you have; such as helping with plates & forks for a birthday cake, even a lighter. Very few places do this anymore or charge for bringing in your own dessert. Support this fantastic local place & enjoy a wonderful meal.
