Tucked in the farmers market is Holy Crepes! A fabulous find while on our NO adventure. Great choice of savory and sweet (gluten free is an option). We went sweet with Elvis and Pralines both were delicious! Take the trolly down Canal to this hidden gem.

Extremely knowledgeable servers and chefs! Delicious food and extensive wine list. Door (not sure how this should be spelled) and Miss Jackie made sure my meal was Celiac-safe. Such a pleasure eating somewhere they honestly care about serving a Celiac patron safely. Highly recommend.

Loved our meal!! Gluten free fried seafood combo, and gluten free fried artichokes with marinara - all tasty, amazing!! Even better, after being my messy self our waitress offered me the use of her Tide to Go stick, amazing service. I love this place!

We wanted Fabulous local food and Sylvain’s did not disappoint! We had the Pappardelle Bolognese and Striped Bass which were both delicious, we also had the Fried Cauliflower which was a wonderful surprise!! Our server Chris was knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. They were able to accommodate my gluten free restrictions, including dessert…a coconut crème brûlée! The ambiance was intimate and beautiful, we loved everything about this restaurant and highly recommend it!

My husband ordered a cup of gumbo and the combination platter. He bit into shell fragments twice. The bread was not very flavorful. To top it off he ended up with severe food poisoning.
I’m celiac and ordered jambalaya from the gluten free menu and also ended up with diarrhea.
Didn’t make a great impression seeing that it was our first time in Louisiana.

We went here specifically for gluten free food. The owner was there and super friendly. We ordered gluten free fried green tomatoes, shrimp, crayfish, catfish, pickles, and fries. The coating/breading was light and airy.
We were the only ones in the restaurant. It was a little awkward, quiet, and dark.
A must-visit for brunch lovers, this spot boasts a delightful menu, vibrant atmosphere, and exceptional service that keeps everyone coming back.

I placed a take-out order for gluten-free pad thai. When I arrived, the system wasn't working properly and they had not received my order. The host took my order and apologized. It was ready in about 5 minutes, which was incredibly quick. The flavors were robust and very authentic. Thanks for the great food, service, and gluten-free options!

DID ANYONE SAY, LOUISIANA SPECIAL?
If you are ever lucky to experience New Orleans, you MUST try jambalaya and gumbo with a side of oysters of course. Jambalaya is by far my favorite because growing up in a first-generation filipino American household rice was a big part of the culture and gave me much comfort. The dish incorporate Cajun flavors and will surely make you full.
At New Orleans Creole Cookery, you will be wow'd by more than the building, but by the level of service they provide. The staff is extremely attentive and the jambalaya is the bees knees. I could eat their jambalaya everyday - the rice is perfectly cooked and the chicken is so tender and moist.
Personally for me, I'm not a big fan of gumbo. Thick soups are not my favorite but nonetheless, the flavors are still bold.
And lastly, I have never enjoyed oysters. But something told me to give this one a try and I am glad I did. There was ZERO hint of the ocean and salt water scent that oysters usually have. In fact, it wasn't salty at all. Instead it was drenched in garlic and cheese - how could this not be the best oyster ever? Only thing it was missing was bread crumbs but, I understand the hesitation with those who cannot have gluten. Still, I would definitely eat this oyster again and again.
Thank you for the hospitality!

We stopped here for breakfast. Then, we chose to try their Beigntes. They came 4 on the plate. And although there is a more famous place on New Orleans that makes them we tried both. Both my wife and I feel this place makes the best Beigntes so far. Properly made dough and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend them. Now digging into my Boudin omelet and her bourbon street breakfast. The Boudin omelet is great. It is light and fluffy. The hashbrowns are freshly grated and not over processed. My wife's pancakes are crazy good. I try to stay away from gluten, but I would eat these cakes and deal with the side effects without complaining. Hell yes, I drank the Boubon at 9:15am. No, I do not have a drinking problem. Bourbon while having some spice was smooth. If you are on New Orleans, put Cafe Fleur De Lis on your list to have for breakfast. Love it and will be back next time we are in New Orleans. It's really good.

This is by far my favorite place in NOLA. The Redfish was perfect and the shrimp and grits did not disappoint. They made a wonderful Bloody Maria and our server Carlo made the experience perfect. He was very knowledgeable about what meals they could modify to be gluten free and they had a gluten free menu. I can’t wait to go back!
I came to New Orleans for my bachelorette party and my group decided to eat here. My sister and I both have a severe gluten allergy and it is hard enough to eat anywhere in the city. We both opted for salads to be safe. I asked my waiter if there were croutons on the salad and they replied no. He then brought both of our salads out full of croutons. I sent it back to be remade and reiterated that we have an allergy. The kitchen staff then proceeded to pick off the croutons on the salad instead of remaking it and sent it back to us. We had many bites before digging to the bottom and realizing it was full of croutons still. The service was slow, and my waiter didn’t care about our food requests. The manager did comp the meal for us but the potential of us ending up in the hospital due to an allergic reaction was unacceptable. The waiter then proceeded to joke with us about it on the way out. He should be fired. TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO BE MORE VIGILANT ABOUT FOOD ALLERGIES. THEY ARE SERIOUS FOR SOME PEOPLE AND COULD KILL THEM.
Expect a charming vibe with great service that goes above and beyond to make your visit enjoyable and memorable.

I have celiac disease and my bar tender, Zoey, took amazing care of me. She made sure that my food was safe. She she was having an off day, but she still made us some amazing drinks and entertained us all night.
Marcus the manager was fantastic as well. He made some amazing recommendations for food and treated us very well. I'm not sure about the other staff, but if Zoey and Marcus are there, you're guaranteed to have a great time!
The shrimp and grits and pork chop were fantastic. My wife had the crawfish bread and she said that was delicious, too.

A weird, fantastic restaurant with a solid bar. The food was incredible (if there's duck, eat the duck, trust me) and the house cocktails are delicious. I had a blackberry basil mojito that was out of this world. Desserts and brunch are the best here, though -- go for the grilled grapefruit or the creme brulee. You won't be disappointed. Super easy to eat gluten free, too. Not cheap, but worth it. And it's adorably goth-lite.

Our waitress was Haley and she was the most sweet person ever. She checked in with us and even gave me salt when she saw me looking for it! As someone who cannot eat gluten she walked me through what is gluten free and it made the experience so fun. I recommend trying this restaurant if you are near, we will be returning.

Gluten Free breakfasts and dinners!
It is a charming place, the waiters are super friendly and very attentive. What I liked the most is the background music.
They open every day for breakfast and dinner. They close at 11:00 because they don't serve lunch.
All dishes are adapted to Gluten Free. And everything is delicious!
Let me start off by mentioning when my friends and I arrived to this restaurant, we immediately realized we were very under-dressed. We knew we were going to (what we thought) was a nice restaurant but didn’t immediately see anything about a dress code. The host greeted us and (while rather snooty but nice about it) offered to hold our reservation while we ran back to the hotel to change. So we hoofed it back to the hotel, changed, and returned a little flustered, winded, and very sweaty. I travelled with no jacket so I had to borrow one of theirs. I do realize it’s our fault for not checking the FAQ on the website to prepare, but we were not offered the option to dine in their more casual location, either, which would have been a nice option.
After we got sat things really started to break down. Bread and drinks got delivered – my Rum and diet was much stronger than it should have been, my friends red wine came in a white wine glass, and no appetizer plates came with the bread. Our waiter had an okay attitude, but when it came to my friend requesting the correct wine glass and me needing another drink that wasn’t so strong, it was apparent how inconvenient the request was.
Our orders got taken and while our salads came out mostly correct, one had the wrong dressing and our waiter, after my friend placed his order with him, made a comment of “That’s a lot of food”. He ordered two additional sides with his meal, one of which was tomatoes. It’s not like he was ordering ½ the menu. Not something polite to say to anyone, especially if they’re a little heavier.
While we waited for dinner we made a few observations. All men were in suit jackets and ladies were wearing pretty much anything they wanted, including t-shirts. We saw a family walk out wearing Underarmour shirts and tennis shoes. We saw two of the waitstaff serving with their shirts untucked and another in crocks sandals. Some were in tuxedos, but it was frustrating seeing the inconsistencies since we made efforts to comply with their dress code.
By the time our meals arrived, we all were pretty un-sold on this “historic” restaurant. The $50 Ribeye I ordered (asked for Medium but they cooked Well) arrived and it was underwhelming to say the least… just thrown on the plate. That was it – no garnish or presentation efforts made whatsoever, which is surprising for a place that is putting forward this “high-level dining” expectation. I had also asked our waiter if the potatoes I ordered had any gluten in it, to which he responded “No I don’t think so. It should be fine”. That didn’t give me much confidence, so I checked with the host who confirmed it has breadcrumbs. They do not claim any of their food is guaranteed gluten-free, which is fine, but the kitchen and wait staff should be trained to know what does and does not have common food allergens. Instead of sending my steak back, we all decided at that point to just finish our meals and go. There were a lot of rookie mistakes made in what we thought was a high-end dining establishment.
After dinner I excused myself to go to the restroom. When walking back I observed our waiter slumped in a chair in the dining room thumbing through his phone while our table sat with empty drink glasses. That’s when I decided this was very much not a high-level dining experience and ripped off my suit jacket and flung it around the back of my chair. The host didn’t like that very much but I was done pretending that I was on some sort of incredible dining venture. The people working in this restaurant were not focused at all on creating any sense of service or fine-dining experience.
If you want an impressive dining experience, this is NOT the place. There are much better restaurants who require a suit jacket and live up to the standard. Usually stuff like this I just chalk up to a bad experience and move on, but if you’re going to present me with a suit jacket requirement, the service and the entire experience should match that.
We came after a day of shopping across the street and had a wonderful lunch. It’s such a cool spot with updated fixtures while keeping the historic vibe. My sister-in-law is picky (and gluten-free) but couldn’t stop talking about the place! They serve royal red shrimp (which is a hard find). We will be back! It also could be an awesome date spot for drinks and dinner.
Excellent food. Good service. The music was really great too. They checked vaccination card and ID going in. I'm gluten-free and had an awesome chicken dish.
Outstanding service. Food was excellent. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable about gluten intolerance. It was very reassuring. Everything was so good that we came back the next day. Would have come back again but our trip was over.
