Definitely eat here! There's several reasons why its a local favorite and you won't regret it!
The food:
What a pleasantly unexpected variety of dietary options for a Tavern! The amount of tasty Gluten Free choices available here far exceed anywhere else that I've found in Muskegon thus far! The chef has a solid handle on seasoning and flavors just to say the least. Our steaks were cooked perfectly to order (medium-rare), perfectly seasoned, and were so juicy! The sides were so delicious that they stand up on their own. My Gluten Free son swears their burgers and tacos are the best he's ever had (my heart isn't too broken since he shares sometimes lol).
The service and atmosphere:
Excellent, friendly, and efficient service is provided for sure each time we've frequented.
The atmosphere / service
It's one of those places where you feel welcomed as if you're a regular even when you're new in town! (I'm not super new to the area anymore, but even when we were) the atmosphere and service will absolutely keep you coming back.
After about a year in town my son also began working at the Tavern as his first job and I was not at all surprised to hear how exceptionally clean the back of house is kept, since everytime I had eaten there the dinning room and tables were so well maintained!
It really is a great family owed, neighborhood gathering place with great food and service! So blessed to have such a cool eatery so close by!
Great food, good gluten free selections, highly recommend! Our friends from out of town were impressed with the quality of the food and we decided we would all come back again sometime!
Set in a charming industrial space, this cozy spot is perfect for coffee lovers, vintage finds, and community vibes, making it a must-visit!

This is our favorite coffee shop in all of Michigan. They have a wide variety of flavors for coffee, vegan and gluten-free baked goods and food, and the most friendly service! When we go someplace like Starbucks, they mumble your name and throw your coffee up on the counter. The person that made our coffee, actually walked around the counter and across the shop to hand us our coffee, and reiterated our order to us. Super impressed!
Enjoy a fun vibe with unique flavor combos and lots of options for various diets, all while soaking in the chill atmosphere of a hockey rink.

Super unique flavor combos for their tacos! I had the Dictator (Korean style bulgogi steak), the hangover (spam and fried egg), and the Bruss Lee (brussel sprout) tacos. Everything was tasty. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options too!
A cozy morning spot with generous portions, though the French toast might not meet everyone's expectations in thickness.

Nice place for breakfast. We live in grand rapids and were up here for the labor day holiday. We met a couple of my kids and my daughter in law.
I had the Texas French toast. I really liked the sausage patty. The eggs were also good. I was a little disappointed in the French toast though. I was expecting thicker pieces of bread. It appeared to be white bread purchased at the local store. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected.
My wife was thrilled to have gluten-free French toast and she said it was good.
The rest you can see in the pictures.
You do get a generous amount of food here!
Enjoy great drinks and a lively atmosphere while cheering for the local hockey team, plus tasty elevated bar bites and awesome fries.

Prettt good elevated bar food. A good number of gluten free options. We really enjoyed the unique experience of watching the local hockey team play while chowing down. The teams were surprising good too. Smash burger was okay. Fries were great. Generous pour on the cocktails.
A place that offers a premium experience but might leave your wallet feeling lighter, plus they’re thorough in preparing clean areas for diners.

Five Guys is great for when you don’t care about the cost to food ratio. But it will always be overpriced. For gluten allergy though, they are understanding and take the time to get a clean area prepared.

We went to Dockers Fish House for the first time in a few years, and we loved it! We will definitely be returning. I cannot eat gluten, and while they don’t clarify gluten free options directly on the menu, our server was so helpful and knowledgeable of items that are prepared/could be prepared gluten free—of which there were several! My husband got the chicken burrito bowl, and I got the Hawaiian pork bowl, and they were both delicious. The live music was a fun touch, and overall our experience was enjoyable. Definitely recommend.
Perfect for a quick lunch with great takeout, especially those extra crispy fries with ranch that everyone raves about!

With their hours, I can only get Carmen’s during my lunch hour at work. Although I can’t speak to the dining in experience, the staff are always nice and helpful when I get food to go. Get your fries extra crispy with ranch! They also have good gluten free bread!
Vibrant atmosphere full of local events and attentive service makes this spot a must-visit, especially if you're in the mood for delightful eats.

I thought we had a pretty good experience, the food tasted good. They seemed very confident about their gluten free protocols and the server frequently checked back in with the chefs. As someone with celiac disease going to eat out is always difficult. I got the meat platter and when it came out the corn bread waffle was on there and I tried to send it back as it was not marked gluten free on the menu. The server reassured me that it was in fact gluten free and said she checked with the chefs who confirmed. So I ate it and it was tasty, but unfortunately not worth the intestinal damage. I called back another day and asked if it was gluten free and was told no it wasn’t. So I told them I have a gluten allergy and was served this and assured it was. Did not feel that they took any responsibility for what happened, wasn’t offered to be transferred to a manager just asked if there was anything else I needed. Honestly I’m just really disappointed in a place I really wanted to like but honestly with the service I would not feel safe to eat here again.
Experience vibrant vibes with generous portions and a menu full of authentic flavors that easily caters to various dietary needs.

I have a gluten allergy, so I didn’t know if I could eat much at Los Amigos Tequila Bar & Grill; however, after speaking with one of the staff members at the bar, I discovered that they do have several things I can safely have!
I had the chicken fajitas along with the rice and beans that came with it, and it was amazing. The pricing is also reasonable, especially considering how big the servings are. I personally did not have any gluten reaction with what I ate, although different allergies vary in severity, and there’s always going to be some risk when eating out.
Overall we enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning!
Everything was absolutely fabulous! It was a special family celebration and we could not have picked the most welcoming venue. The food was creative and well executed, the cocktails and the wine recommendations were right on target and the ambiance was delightful! Jillene is the best manager ever - she took care of our son’s gluten allergy and we are forever grateful! Will be back soon and bring friends!
This was truly astounding! Well worth driving off the beaten path to enjoy welcoming smiles, helpful service (they walked through all the gluten and dairy free options which were many) and absolutely delicious Indian food

Came here twice during a visit to Muskegon. The staff were super responsive and kind both times. The drip coffee was phenomenal and did not disappoint. Had an apple cinnamon muffin and was impressed that, though gluten free, the texture was not gritty, which is a problem I’ve encountered in the past. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a coffee shop with tons of seating and a relaxing vibe.
This is the first bad experience I have had at PR. Love the food and usually the staff.
A group of widows went tonight and I talked a friend who is gluten intolerant into coming. I had checked the website and it advertised gluten free pizza. After we paid for the buffet we were asked if we would like a special pizza made. I said we needed a gluten free one. Staff person said they didn't make them for the buffet. She said it would cost more to get just the pizza. My friend decided to not pay extra, so, all she had for Valentine's dinner was a salad and a dish of ice cream. She could have at least gotten a discount if she couldn't have anything more. Yes, she could have had potatoes and carrots, but, she didn't know if they were cross contaminated. The website should be more specific stating you can't have gluten free pizza and the salad bar.
Staff are super friendly!!! Gluten free cust option or cruelest pizza option! They have dairy free cheese too!!! Something for everyone even DIY kits for the kids!! Delicious!!
SECOND AND THIRD TRIP HERE 7/2/22 UPDATE:
It makes me sad to write this but I have to knock two stars off. Two. One for service and one for kitchen. The last two times we've come in food was brought to the table cold. Not just like it had cooled off, but more like it was never fully heated through. Service was... Painfully slow and orders were not accurate. I really hope it's a fluke and I realize that it's a holiday weekend but that's never an excuse for cold food. Slow service? Sure. Poor service? No. We hope that these issues get resolved soon because of how much we loved our first experience.
FIRST TRIP HERE:Listen. I've been gluten-free and dairy-free for over four years now. This place has, HANDS DOWN, the best GF crust I've ever had. Better than Mitten Brewing and that's saying a lot. Theirs is awesome too. But 18th Amendment knocked it out of the park. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff. We should have come here for more than a cocktail way sooner! Leaving this review before we've even left the restaurant! I never do that.
Went here with out of town friends we haven't seen for years. Restaurant was fairly empty for a Friday evening. Server did pretty good job, food was good. Someone ordered their turkey dinner gluten free, so the kitchen should not have sent the plate out with stuffing on it! Bob Evans has a gluten free menu that says as much for this entree. Kitchen re-made that order. Was great though that we could sit and visit so long and not have others waiting to be seated.
Enjoy a cozy vibe with generous portions and attentive service, though the pancakes could use a bit more flavor.

I ordered the sausage roll ups. The pancake was about 10 inches in diameter and the sausage link was about 5 or 6 inches long so there was MUCH more pancake than needed. Pancakes needed salt, they didn't have much taste. My daughter had a gluten free sandwich, we were thankful for that option. The waitress was attentive and it's a cute place.
