The best place for GF eats!! Everything on the menu can be made gluten-free except for the mac & cheese! The owner’s daughter is gluten-free, so she wanted to make a place where everyone felt safe eating! Fried chicken tenders, fried flounder, barbecue, hot dogs, fried pickles, fried okra! Cake! They have it all! Separate prep area and fryers!
A charming spot with a cozy vibe, offering a fantastic variety of coffee and healthy options, plus a great atmosphere for relaxation.

Tasteful Beans is a place with a variety of delicious food and the gluten free selection is excellent - try the bagels! It is a place to see friends and to make new friends. The staff is personable and treats all customers with kindness. No matter the time of day, I always have some great food and a good time.
Unique daily sandwich specials and a nice outdoor sidewalk seating area make this spot a must-visit for a casual bite.

Had some excellent sandwiches here including a lamb burger special that was amazing. I appreciate that the sandwiches are unique, daily specials and gluten free bread option. There is an upcharge if you want a side other than chips from a bag. Nice outdoor seating area on the sidewalk.
A cozy spot with fast service and a mix of booths and high tables, perfect for a casual meal any day of the week.

Great food and great service. Our waitress was very personable. Their pho was some of the best I have had. The spring rolls were very fresh with good peanut sauce. They also have gluten free dishes. It is a small restaurant with a few booths and some high table seats. Decent parking. I will be eating here again.
A diverse selection of subs awaits with a stellar option for those seeking alternative bread, ensuring a tasty experience without hassle.

Employees made a great effort to avoid cross-contamination when I asked for gluten-free bread without me asking. The Italian sub on GF bread was awesome! Highly recommend!
A place noted for quick service, large portions, and clean salad bars, where you might even get extra servings from generous platefuls.

My family and I love our Hickory Jason's Deli. Everything that we eat is always delicious. The cashier is always helpful and even knows I have a gluten allergy. Jason's is always our pick!
Great night with friends! Staying at Rock Barn Spa and headed into town for dinner. Wonderful wine, specialty drinks and food. If you are vegan or gluten free, it is the perfect place!
Our family has loved Gouda since we moved to Hickory - great food and service, and the gluten-free options have been a welcome choice for a family member that needs it. Unfortunately, Cafe Gouda recently switched all their chicken dishes to use chicken thighs, and...it simply doesn't taste good. The dishes that we loved have really taken a hit in quality since the switch. I hate to cross this restaurant off our list of regular patronage, but until they switch back to chicken breast, we won't be back. We truly hope you switch back soon - or at least give us an option!
Unique named pizzas and a great vibe make for an awesome spot to enjoy a night out with friends, especially on the patio!

Pizza with a weird name-wilburs night out I think- it's unique and so satisfying! I've had other pizza there and wood fired everything can't be beat, with a gluten free crust option. Bern there for breakfast abd that's the best chicken and waffles I've ever had.
If you've been to one Chipotle, you've been to them all. Everything is freshly prepared and because you can get what you want on it and have it as a salad, is also gluten free. They have a list of allergens available.
Expect freshly cooked, thick burgers and hand-cut fries, but be ready for potential wait times during busy hours.

I went there 3 times. A friend heard that their French fries were good and with big portions.
The first time was good. The second time my order was lost in space!! I was waiting and when I was the only person left they didn't have my order ticket!
They quickly made an order of fries for me.
All orders are individually made so I had to wait a couple of minutes more.
They can be busy so wait times can be longer than other fast food places.
A burger is freshly cooked when ordered. They do not partially cook meat and use it when ordered like most other burger places.
You can watch them assemble orders and wrap up the sandwiches. Burgers are thick!!!
I will order one next time.
We only wanted a quick snack and my friend is gluten intolerant so she is selective about where she eats.
This chain cuts their potatoes right on the premises and you get pure uncoated product, unlike many burger chains that buy product that has a coating applied to add flavor to the fries.
Their menu items cost a bit more but portions are good and mainly fresh!!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID. Hostess seated her friends ahead of us, the place is not even open for full-capacity dining, and it was dirty. Service was minimal, but probably because the entire waitstaff but one server was outside smoking with the side door open so smoke could come into the restaurant. I ordered gluten-friendly pancakes that came out BURNT. I mean, black as a charcoal, and I asked the waitress to take them back. She said that the manager told her they were supposed to look like that because they are gluten-free. Omg, I must look really stupid! The waitress did take them back and brought me three fresh ones, but the food was all around subpar. The waitress made up for all of the other ridiculousness, but seriously...do not eat here.
With an A+ atmosphere and exquisite culinary offerings, it's the perfect spot for dates or casual gatherings with friends and family.

Me and my husband love eating here. It's a date favorite. We even took my mother here for lunch as they offer gluten free pasta and options. The crab cakes are exquisite and the atmosphere is A+. Service is great. At the absolute top of my list for a date, buisness, or meeting.
I ate here today since it said that they had gluten-free options. I ordered a sandwich on gluten free bread. The server was very busy and distracted so I told him that I have Celiac disease and could he please ask the kitchen to be careful about cross-contamination.
After eating, before we even left I immediately started having stomach pains. They just got worse on the long Ione drive home. I very rarely get these symptoms, so I’m certain that I somehow was served gluten here.
Relax in a cozy outdoor spot with blankets while enjoying delightful dishes and a need for a refreshed menu.

Notions staff treated me very well. The food was delish. Perfect outdoor seating space. Blankets offered.
Notions needs to update the menu to notate gluten-free options.
Known for its consistent pleasant vibes and a rewards program offering a free appetizer, this spot has some standout dishes everyone enjoys.

Host was very good, friendly and courteous. Waiter was pleasant and attentive.
Soup was good. Gluten Free pasta was really bad. It was barely cooked so it was hard and chewy.
Manager offered me a free dessert and took off half the price of the meal. Good gesture but need to get the GF cooking right. It simply needs to be cooked more and let the sauce soak in it.
Great sushi, service, and teriyaki shrimp! I recommended this place to everyone at my job! Can accommodate dairy free diets, gluten free, and vegetarian/vegan.
Used to eat here (old location) back when I was a student at Lenoir Rhyne. Revived the old memories of cold Miller light and honey BBQ wings. My wife's salad and my son's gluten free pizza were awesome. My daughter demolished her chicken tenders which were hand breaded and awesome as well. We will be back soon!
This spot in Hickory is a hidden gem with hearty sandwiches and flavorful tacos, though parking can be tricky in downtown.

Found a gem while visiting Hickory NC! I'd been craving a good ham sandwich since my visit to Miami this past summer and they did not disappoint with the Goin' Ham Sandwich. Stacked with just the right amount of protein, simple yet super filling. Ashley the owner suggested I go with Swiss cheese since it's not commonly found on vegan menus. Man she was right. Their macaroni salad was nothing extravagant but again just right! The tacos were delicious, we had one of each protein to get a good taste and were blown away with texture and flavor. Only downside is we like spice and since they were just getting situated at their new location there was not a good salsa.Ashley tried to accommodate us with some jalapeños cause she's just awesome but tacos just need a salsa in my book. Gluten-free was a perk on all the "taco meats"
We also came back and bought a pound of each the "chicken" which we used to make some chicken in salsa verde Tamales.. totally recommend this hidden gem. Parking is in downtown hickory so it can be a pain but we found a free parking garage just a 2 minute walk from there.

This was my first time at Waterbean Coffee so I didn't know what to expect. I don't usually frequent coffee shops so I didn't know what kinds of food they would have. They were very helpful and answered my questions and helped me choose what to get. The coffee was delicious and I got a gluten free cookie that was very tasty. I've never had a gluten free snack so I was very surprised at how delicious it was. There were 4 of us and we each got something different and everyone was happy with their choice. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy. They even have a piano that I was able to play. We will be glad to go back there again.
A cozy and clean spot with quick service, offering a solid menu that keeps everyone coming back for more.

I come here all the time! The sushi is great, and everything else I've tried of theirs is good, too. They also have gluten free options which is always nice. Their dining room is cozy and clean. I guess sometimes the staff isn't the most welcoming, but that doesn't really bother me. Their to-go time is pretty fast as well, usually only 10-15 minutes. Overall a solid restaurant, I definitely recommend
Dairy and gluten free option available! I get the salmon, baked potato, and broccoli. It's delicious and the servers have made sure to communicate allergies.
Very clean. Nice smiling helpers. Yummy food. The Grilled Chicken Power Bowl, is gluten free and so delicious! Have fun, and enjoy your meals at Taco Bell on 321 N in Hickory, NC, with friends, family, and co-workers.
Dive into a seafood lover's paradise with fresh, hot-off-the-grill options and mouthwatering sides that everyone raves about.

We love the fried fish and the shrimp. Our son is gluten intolerant so he gets the Butterburger on a gluten bun. We all love the Cole slaw! The Ruben is served hot from the grill and the meat is fresh & moist.

Love this place!!! They have so many gluten free options and basically everything is dairy free 😍😍😍 The food is so delicious and satisfying, and the hosts and servers are always so friendly:)
Good food and good service.
My wife cannot have anything with gluten in it. She gets a grilled sandwich on a gluten free bun. It's nice they have this option.
