We love Capitol Ale House! Kylie was fabulous. The club is my absolute favorite but I've tried many menu items with no complaints. I had to take off a star because of my recent visit. I have a gluten allergy friend who loves Capitol Ale because of the gluten free options. She ALWAYS looks forward to the fries. They had a dedicated air fryer. This was a huge bonus for anyone with a gluten allergy. This has changed sometime recently and unfortunately is longer an option. Bring back the gluten free fry option.

By far the best vegan gluten-free pancake I ever had. My partner is omnivore and also had the best breakfast of his life. The food is farm fresh and absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere too. We will definitely be coming back.

Truly great celiac protocols at this location! I told the staff I needed gluten free for an allergy and unlike many JM locations, I didn’t really have to say another word. They were super kind and gracious about needing to grab stuff from the back. They really went above and beyond. Thanks for helping me stay safe and healthy on my road trip!

My son and I decided to try Island Wings because they have the patio that we were told was dog friendly. (We take out our babies to town often and look for dog friendly places to eat.) They do have a gluten free menu but I honestly prefer when items are marked gluten free on the regular menu. They were hands down the most dog friendly restaurant we've found. Our server, wish I could remember her name, was great! She immediately got them a bowl of water and even freshened it up after my bullmastiff drank and got drool in it. Out food was good but we were very happy with the portions our dogs got off the doggy menu. We were there on a Saturday but it wasn't busy. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere and a great place to grab a bite to eat especially if your dog is with you.

Rocktown Kitchen is wonderful! I brought my family here tonight while they were visiting Harrisonburg. Our server, Josey, was wonderful! The service and food were wonderful, there were many gluten free options, and the staff was very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions!

Outback is my favorite place for steaks. But this location in particular makes the stakes better than anywhere else I've been. Also they were very accommodating with making sure there was no cross contamination with any gluten products as my son has celiac disease. Thank you very much for your care!

Was very impressed with this restaurant. They offer gluten free meals and that's a plus. There's not many places that does and they are marked on the menu as such. The food was excellent and was well served. Good place to go eat.

Such a great lunch spot in Harrisonburg. They have gluten free bread, too. The treuben aka “the Duke” sandwich is delicious.

Showed up for a gluten free pizza on a road trip, menu is marked to provide GF pizza crust, but the pizza is cooked directly in non GF ovens with no tray to avoid cross contamination. Cross contamination is only mentioned on the menu for toppings, NOT THE CRUST. Why even have GF on the menu if nobody can eat it?? If i didn’t ask the nice waitress about CC, I would’ve been screwed for my entire trip. I appreciate the service, but fix the menu before someone gets violently ill.

A nice place with a warm atmosphere to eat at. They have many options to choose from allowing accessibility for diabetics, vegetarians, gluten-intolerant, and lactose-intolerant options. Great people with good service, although sometimes overcrowded, especially during the weekend. Many nearby options to visit as well before or after coming to the old-style restaurant.

Very disappointing experience. Harrisonburg is my hometown and I'm here for a visit. Looked for some safe options on food. Location mentions Gluten-free on menu. I asked at the door before ordering my food if the fryer is a dedicated fry fryer or shared fryer as this can cross-contact food. Was told emphatically that it would be safe. Dropped $50 for 2 people on food only to have them come out almost 30 minutes into waiting and tell me they do not have a dedicated fryer and my fries would not be safe. I chose to order here for an entire meal. Had I been informed properly I would have went somewhere safe. I was then simply told sorry, had $5 taken off for the fries, and given some bland brisket and sent on my way. Extremely frustrating experience on my first day in town and handled poorly. Don't advertise Gluten-free without properly training your staff. Also if something like this happens management should be the one stepping up to resolve the issue and it should have been a better resolution that returning my $5 and shrugging it off.

This is my go to place for dine in or carry outs when I am in town. I love their creative drinks, sushi, pho, Vietnamese noodle bowls and Spicy Korean Ramen noodles. Very clean tables, I've sat at the outside tables, inside tables, and at the bar many times. Love all the creative original paintings on the walls. Very friendly staff and attentive. Special shout out to: Prasert and Jada. We always had a wonderful dining experience each time we are dining here because there is always something new to try and also many options for everyone's cravings or palates. SO hard to save room for desserts but try to save room because their desserts are yummy. Lots of gluten free options on the menu.

I read reviews on Google and decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad we did! My husband ordered the calzone and I got the meat lovers gluten free pizza. Portions were large and delicious! Most gluten free pizzas are dinky and can easily be eaten in one sitting. I only ate half and was stuffed.

This is my little daughters and my mommy baby date almost weekly fun place to eat. The staff knows us very well, and the chef comes out and says hello and chats for a little bit when he has enough time, and even when he doesn’t have enough time. They have gluten-free items and we have to have everything gluten-free. Also, we tend to order things with a lot less sauce, and they always accommodate us. Happy every time we eat here. Highly recommend this kind and relaxed place.

Went for our daughter’s birthday and I really wanted to enjoy my experience, because it was a special day for her and I deeply love her. —- Unfortunately, I found the food ultimately disappointing. While they did have gluten free options, they were VERY THIN pieces of fish on LARGE portions of rice. The majority of the food was rice with fish rather than fish with rice. I mentioned this to the waitress and she said they were unable to lessen the load of rice because it was all you can eat… so rice went in napkins. As well, the ability to get more food once we completed the portions given was very slow. So we didn’t eat much of a variety because we were hesitant to order a larger quantity and not be able to consume it - there is a stipulation about charging for unfinished food. It took us over an hour and a half to receive and eat four simple rolls with a hint of fish, four rice filled hand rolls, a small amount of hibachi rice and vegetables, and avocado “salad” which is sliced avocado over pieces of cucumber. That is not much for that price. For a five year old, a nine year old, and two healthy but not large appetited adults it cost us $75 all in. I want to appreciate the experience with our family there, and appreciate that we can easily afford that, however we will not return again. Consequently, I ended up repeating the food for nearly an hour after. I ate a reasonable portion and am a lean, healthy individual - possibly the oil used. FYI- we love sushi. Genuinely real sushi and took a punt on bringing our kids here based on reviews. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was kid friendly. The hibachi was able to be ordered without added rice and the shrimp were pretty good. Though we went there for the sushi experience and only got that because the sushi wasn’t particularly fulfilling. Usually, I only post when we like the food and rarely when we don’t. Cannot recommend this place.

The Del Fuego is by far my favorite Cuban style burger in Harrisonburg, and it even beats the one I had in Miami. They also offer delicious gluten free buns! It’s great to be able to support all of our local family owned businesses here in Harrisonburg. Steve and Shami do a great job leading by example for their employees putting in regular work here themselves. I highly recommend to anyone who is in the mood for authentic Cuban food.

Yum ! Finally authentic Mexican food that come out hot ! Enchiladas were terrific and my husband enjoyed his shrimp taco. I am gluten sensitive and the enchiladas did well for me.

Took my wife for a date here last night, we were very impressed about the service quality and fresh food. The dishes were beautifully presented, the atmosphere was lively yet relaxing, and the service was top-notch. Recommending for people who like Curry and Thai cuisine, also great Gluten Free options!
