We thoroughly enjoyed the gluten-free fish and chips, asparagus dip, and drinks. The ambiance was wonderful, and the service was friendly and attentive. I’ve been craving fish and chips for a while now, and I finally found a place that satisfies my craving.

Uvae is a gem. Love the happy hour oysters and bubbly. Some favorite dishes are the charcuterie board (the lavender honey!), brussel sprouts, cauliflower, scallops, shrimp + grits, chicken thigh... honestly we've liked everything! Cocktails are balanced and creative. Emma is a wonderful, personable server with top-notch wine recommendations, and was very accommodating to a gluten-free family member. I really appreciate that they have a few mocktails on the menu too. Chef Whitney is thoughtful, talented, and doing super cool things: last night we had a beet hummus plate with veggies and sesame tapioca crisps. It looked like an art piece and tasted like heaven; we were scraping our plates. The vibe is cozy and unpretentious. Go spend your money here!

They have gluten free and vegan options and if you ask for something with out cheese they still put it in there and I didn't trust that the croutons were vegan and gluten free since they can't read. If you have allergies please do not eat here they don't take it seriously!!!

A unique diner! It’s a new world once you enter the door. The sitting on the floor area in the front is such an cute idea, it also puts the people sitting there in the window somehow and I love that! Back of the diner is a full shop with handmade clothes, silver jewelry, scarves, imported souvenirs, incense, candles… I’m telling you it’s another world. I tried a cold brew coffee and a gluten free & vegan brownie they were both very quality. I will be coming back.

The place is beautiful, food is 10/10, and owner is wonderful! We got the imam bayildi and the shrimp a la marina (pictured) and LOVED both! Highly recommend! (great gluten free options as well, labeled on menu!)

We have been coming to Calo for many, many years from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We adore it. So many of our important life moments and celebrations have happened there. And this past weekend, my uncles held their wedding rehearsal dinner there - as it was the place of their first date 10 years ago. An absolute treasure of a place. We found it looking for late night dinner, and this place hit the mark ! Steaks at midnight? Yes please. The steaks were perfectly prepared, the veggie of the day was fresh green beans expertly prepared, and they were able to accommodate my gluten allergy. Bartender AND the regulars were friendly and up for lively conversation. Cocktails really were standouts!! I will be back for the “Empress of the Sun”.

As I am gluten intolerant I got the wings and chopped salad. The menu clearly indicates what is and is not acceptable for someone with my allergies to eat. From others at the table who had pizza they could not stop raving about it so although I did not have it everybody else who did recommended it. Once you order from the phone and to the time when you get your food or and drinks it's fairly quick. The noise level was pretty high between the Cubs game and there was a bocce ball tournament.

Atmosphere is fantastic. Service is amazing all very welcoming and nice. The food is 10/10 our group had different plates and everyone raved about the food. They have amazing vegan and gluten free options. The drinks are also fantastic. Can’t wait to go again.
