As soon as myself and my partner stepped in the door we were bombarded with an overwhelming amount of questions, even before we arrived at the desk. We tried to overlook this as we were hungry and had driven 35mins to get there. (I feel there was a lack of professionalism and more a vibe of, we just walked in to someone's house.)
Attempted to look at the menu behind the front desk but questions kept coming and so politely asked if we could sit with the 1 menu in the Cafe to decide our meals.
By the the time we had got down the stairs and to a table we'd been followed and asked 3 times if we wanted a drink, before we'd even chosen a table to sit at.
There are 4 tables in the Cafe to eat at and put very close together. We chose a fair distance from some people already seated, so we sat at the 4 person table and a remark was made by the host, that it is ok to have this table right now but if 4 people were to arrive "we'll have to talk"!
Once we were seated at our table, she returned after only a minute left alone, to ask yet again, if we wanted drinks... after stating water is fine for now.
No gluten free bread options - Was pushed towards sourdough bread instead, though I'd already stated several times I wanted gluten free. And she then proceeded to push some more... and asked if I knew what sourdough bread was!
As someone who's made sourdough bread from scratch many times and made it gluten free. . This is quite condescending to say to anyone.
I find as a vegan Cafe you should be ready for all types of special dietary requirements. As half the menu is on toast I'd at least expect the option for gluten free bread. Especially considering most if not all desserts are gluten free.
By this point we were so discouraged we decided to leave and go down the road to a different vegan restaurant that turned out to be the best decision we had made.
As a business woman myself I would kindly advise to rethink your approach on customer service and how you interact with customers. A warm friendly greeting is enough. The music was also a little too loud for the tightness of space.
This experience could have been so much better but we just couldn't stand another minute.
Edit: As you can see the owner doesn't have a professional response to give about how they treat people. Just some hippy answer 🤣
We are extremely happy we walked out yes and voted with our money else where. But we wrote here to advise that Mondays Cafe really is just that.. ... 🌧
A better name would have been Calgarys Fakery at its Finest.
Peace and love 🌈

Beyond exceeded all expectations!!! I came as part of a group event. As someone who eats gluten and dairy free, going to an Italian restaurant I expected my options to be extremely limited. The team went up and beyond ensuring that I had options for every course of the meal and the dessert was the best dessert I've had in years at a restaurant.
I highly recommend and will definitely be returning!
Delicious flavors keep bringing people back, with creative twists like chips on pizza and quick, satisfying meals that hit the spot!

We visited this restaurant twice, and while the food was good to bring us back, there were issues with how the wait staff handled gluten-free options. On our first visit, the server told us which items were gluten-free, which we ended up ordering. However, on our second visit, a different server gave us completely different information, telling us some of the items we had previously eaten weren't actually gluten-free.
The inconsistency is concerning, especially given my girlfriend's celiac disease. It highlights a need for better staff training to ensure accurate communication about dietary restrictions. The food is good, but without proper staff training, I can't confidently recommend it to those with allergies.
Discover a cozy gem known for its delightful fondue and champagne offerings, creating a charming vibe that keeps visitors coming back.

The willingness and ability to accommodate gluten free food for a celiac (especially the offering of really good gluten free bread) was the primary motivation for coming the first time.
The 2nd and 3rd time though were purely due to the quality of the food and service, and our love for the cute little spot that was made into a great niche fondue and champagne restaurant!
Love this little spot! Very friendly service, quick preparation and great seating options. The sushi is fresh and well made and their celiac awareness is on point.
