Stopped in for a late lunch (kitchen closes at 2 pm on Sundays) and the team squeezed our order in. Extremely gluten free friendly and the food was amazing. I got the Tuna tartar and a passion fruit mango smoothie and I’ll be going back tomorrow.

We've been here twice now for breakfast. The dishes were delicious. The food is freshly prepared. The coffee is very good. They also have a large selection of gluten-free options. We sat outside because the air conditioning was on and it was quite cold. The price/performance ratio is very good. I can only recommend it.

An excellent experience. Delicious pizza with high-quality ingredients. Very attentive and friendly service. We tried the El Sapo pizza, a focaccia, and two glasses of wine, and everything was excellent. Gluten-free options are available.

I have been to Pico several times, the atmosphere is very nice, the guys are very friendly but the food always takes a long time to come out of the kitchen. They brought us the coffee and when the food arrived we had already finished the coffee for 5 minutes, when really I would have liked to have it with my breakfast. Last time I ordered some gluten free pancakes and it was the poorest dish I ate...it had 4 slices of strawberries and not even half a spoonful of chantilly. It's not a cheap place so they could take more care of what they put on the plate from my point of view. I have been a chef for 20 years and I pay attention to these things.

This was one of the very best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The mango lassi was delicious, as was the vindaloo and the butter chicken. I have celiac so must eat gluten-free and they were very accommodating with clear markings on their menu regarding what is Gluten-free. Our waiter, Vikas was very helpful and provided excellent service!

We came here for a birthday dinner with 10 people. The staff was awesome and really helpful in every way. Most of the menu is gluten free or can be gluten free. Also they label vegan options. Our waiter, Macarena was super lovely!

Large two level restaurant right off the main road in Potrero that is frequented by tourists. Ceviche and ahi tuna salad were both good. They had a nice local beer selection including a gluten free beer. Our waiter was very friendly and spoke good English.

Can’t imagine there being better seafood in a better atmosphere anywhere else. The outdoor setting surrounded by a pool was such great ambience. The sever was so incredibly friendly and had superb knowledge of the menu and seafood sources. It felt like the chef curated the meal completely for us. We went with all of the chef’s recommendations and they were even able to make everything completely gluten free. We were gifted the pumpkin soup with the seafood broth and it was absolutely incredible. We each got the filet meals, one with mahi mahi and the other with the yellowfin tuna seared medium rare. They were such sizeable portions and every item on the plate was cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. I would easily eat there every night and would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the freshest seafood prepared in the most incredible ways!

Pretty good spot for brunch. My boyfriend loved the coffee, so much so that we bought some for home, Cafe Dota. They have gluten free options, and accommodated my allergiest o dairy, eggs and pineapples. Very friendly service and fresh food. It's a bit pricey, as it's 7000-8000 colones per entree.

Service was mediocre. $8 per bottle of water that they didn't even ask if we wanted... Cocktails we just ok. Better drinks on the beach across the street... Appetizers were small and middle of the road. Coastal seafood soup was bland with overcooked seafood. Two gluten free options. Unacceptable. Sushi is good. The server forgot an entree. We waited for 15 minutes for them to bring it out. They didn't apologize or try to make amends for their mistake. Skip this overpriced tourist trap. We didn't even come on a busy night...

Celebrated my birthday here. We drove by to check it out before. Javier gave me a tour of the restaurant and let me pick a table for dinner. I was asked about any allergies and they we're able to accommodate my celiac and lactose intolerance. The food was great, the best Dorado I've ever had! Javier brought out complimentary sparkling wine after we finished and the kitchen made me a delicious little cake. I haven't gotten to the view yet which is amazing. The whole place is well put together including the bathroom which can be a low point at some Costa Rican restaurants. Thank you Javier

Barumis is a must-try! The staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. The menu has something for everyone – from delicious waffles and chicken sandwiches to refreshing watermelon basil drinks and Sauvignon Blanc. They even have amazing açaí bowls! As a celiac, my wife was thrilled with her gluten-free and vegan burger, and the kids loved their waffles. My friend and I devoured the chicken burgers – some of the best we've had in Costa Rica! The atmosphere was fantastic, and we had an amazing time. Plus, they offer a wide variety of smoothies, cocktails, sodas, and juices. Highly recommend!

I love everything about this place. Great beer next door, the burritos are awesome along with the spiced yuca fries. My brother had the birria tacos which he loved. My wife is celiac and said the shrimp tacos were amazing, so good for gluten free needs too. Their homemade hot sauce is wonderful.

If you are spending any time in Liberia Costa Rica do not miss out a quick meal at this place. Absolutely amazing food and the service is friendly and professional. We stopped here completely by accident and wow, just wow! I had the Mexican salad (I am one of those ‘gluten-free’ folk) and I have never had better. Don’t miss this place.

We had tenderloin with gorgonzola sauce, Caribbean Ceviche, yellow fin tuna with tamarind sauce, and the gluten free chocolate cake terrine. All was c delicious. Steak was tender and well seasoned. The Gorgonzola sauce was well balanced, just right. The tuna melted in our mouths (very high grade), and the tamarind sauce was also well balanced. The ceviche with parrot fish was tender, with just a little kick. The mangos and coconut milk made it just right! And the terrine was perfect, not too sweet, just right. Overall, the food is prepared with serious discipline, so well balanced. The service was fabulous. Randall took care of everything perfectly, and we were fortunate to meet Hazel. What a lovely host. Please try this place. You won’t be disappointed! Side note, when we walked in, there was a couple dining outside who were raving at how good it is just like I am. Money well spent! The chocolate has me rambling…

Great brew pub with solid food. The tacos were fantastic and are gluten free if you are traveling with someone with celiac disease. Service is slow but a great place for a meal and a drink on a hot day.

The spicy vodka rigatoni was out of this world delicious. They were able to substitute the rigatoni for a gluten free penne pasta. I was so pleased. We also had someone in our party that is gluten and dairy intolerant and they worked with them to accommodate their allergies as well. I highly recommend Fabra.

Take-out: 3 errors prior to trying the food, losing one star each: 1) tried to charge us 10% for service, when we didn’t sit down. They quickly corrected and printed a new receipt. 2) Only gave us two sets of chopsticks for an order of three sushi rolls. 3) Asked for gluten free soy sauce and non-gluten free; they provided both, but didn’t label which one was which.

Beautiful little coffee shop with fantastic cookies, shortbread, granola, energy balls. Gluten-free and vegan options available. The owner is a very talented pastry chef, you will not be disappointed. The coffee shop has pretty views, air conditioning and a small bathroom. We now visit regularly with our boys, the sweet treats are delicious.
