The best gluten free fish and chips I’ve ever had, even better to peace of mind that the whole place is fully gf, and the staff are very knowledgeable. We enjoyed taking these down to eat on the lakefront, will definitely be back again!

I was recommended to go here as a coeliac and wasn’t expecting a buffet style eatery - the food was okay.I went there twice and the first time the hot cabinet had only GF trays of food (which made me comfortable), but then the next day I came for breakfast and they did have one non-gf tray in the same cabinet. This made me uneasy, especially as the tray was the second row in, meaning the spoonfuls of food would have to travel over other gf trays and potentially contaminate them.
This cozy spot offers a variety of healthy options in a charming setting, perfect for those with dietary preferences, plus great coffee!

Had the pleasure of dinning at the Public kitchen and bar with my partner. Our waiter Ed throughly explained the menu to us. My partner is a celiac and Ed brought out a seperate menu for her and talked us through it and even gave us some delicious recommendations. The service was great and the food and drink were excellent. Lovely establishment and a great waiter. Thank you Ed!!!
A hidden gem with exceptional coffee, spacious decor, and a menu that impresses everyone from families to foodies.

As a coeliac and lactose intolerant person I was happy to find a place that was able to safely cater for breakfast and lunch! I didn’t love my breakfast, but I LOVED the chicken Vietnamese salad I had for lunch. Like it was the best lunch I had in my New Zealand travels.
They are coeliac aware and take extra care with gluten free meals. Nice staff members and pleasant atmosphere. Enjoyed my coffee too!
Charming spot with a cozy vibe, unique decor, and a small outdoor area to enjoy a cuppa while surrounded by an artsy atmosphere.

I went in sooo hungry about 1.30pm as I couldn't find any gluten-free options anywhere, and was very happy to see a good selection. I got a delicious, giant brunch (or was it breakfast?) muffin with egg, bacon, and hollandaise, as well as a slice of caramel and white chocolate cheesecake, which tasted absolutely divine! It was huge, too, and I just finished it off after dinner for dessert. Thanks so much for having great gluten-free options rather than just the obligatory chocolate brownie or caramel slice that most cafes have. I think I'll pop in tomorrow before we leave to get some more cheesecake!
Charming spot with stunning water views and a cozy vibe, perfect for a relaxing hangout with delicious and thoughtfully crafted menu options.

Great afternoon view over the bay, I had a gluten free fish and chips which were cooked in a separate fryer which is fantastic as a coeliac.
Fish batter was light and crunchy and shoestring chips were great. Very relaxing spot.
Thank you

Lots of vegan options, very clear on the menu and in their own vegan section. We were really surprised by the jackfruit taco, as I'm not usually a jackfruit fan, but it was amazing. The churrros are also a must try.
Pros: Vegan (and gluten-free) churros!, Heaps of vegan options, Great mocktails (and cocktails)

Loved this place, inside is so beautiful, the staff member I spoke to was so friendly and the pizza was delicious. I went to so many places in Wanaka looking for somewhere that could do a gluten free pizza that was coeliac safe and I finally found it here. Pizza base was so crispy, the pizza was amazing and I'm definitely going back next time!
Best burrito I’ve had on this side of the pacific. And multiple vegan options!
Staff are kind and very aware of my food allergies and dietary restrictions, and they are happy to modify things for me.
Would love to see the addition of vegan mayo & gluten free burritos someday! :)

Moinho cafe, recently established in Queenstown’s Frankton area, is an extension of the renowned Padaria do Moinho bakery founded in Cuiabá. The Queenstown branch continues the tradition of quality artisanal baking, offering a tempting range of breads, cakes, and savory treats in a relaxed, welcoming café setting. The menu blends Brazilian and South American flavors with New Zealand café classics and caters to various dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Portions are generous-one cheese scone was enough for two-and the cabinet food looks appealing. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the cappuccino we had was well made. The café’s casual, family-friendly atmosphere makes it a great spot for breakfast, brunch, or a relaxed lunch. Our experience was enhanced by the clean premises and reasonable prices.
Moinho cafe stands out for its fresh, quality baked goods, friendly service, and unique Brazilian flair, making it a welcome addition to Queenstown’s café scene.
Fresh interpretations and tasty creations abound, making it a go-to stop for a delightful break during your travels.

I went to this place with 11 others for my birthday. I ordered 4 drinks at the start and then food from a young staff member. I was very clear about ordering Ice Coffee and checking that they did not put syrup or sugar in it. I also put in an order for lunch on the same table and checked that no sugar was in what we ordered. I also cleared with the staff that it would be okay to share a non sugar, gluten free birthday cake after lunch. The staff arrived with the other drinks and an Iced Chocolate (laden with syrup, and whipped cream), which my daughter took, as she had ordered this just after me. I then checked with the young waiter to let him know that I was still waiting on my Iced Coffee, not an Iced Chocolate and pointed to my sister and her husbands drinks - their Iced coffees. About 10 minutes later an older staff member arrived with the original till docket and another syrupy creamy Iced Chocolate to insist I had ordered it and should have it. I let her know I did not want it and was waiting on my sugar free Iced Coffee - again pointing to the Iced Coffees. She showed me the docket and insisted she was right and that I had paid for it and had to have it. One of our group was confused at the ladies insistence we drink it and thought it was an 'extra' drink (she was at the other end of the table said she would take it). The waitress said I could not have my Iced Coffee unless I ordered it again - the worst service I have had for a long time and such a lack of regard for the customer!
