What an amazing escape from the busy icky world! First of all as a celiac individual it's a nightmare to find places to get Gluten Free anything, but Gluten Free Pancakes!! π₯ They tasted soooooo gooood too π€€β€οΈ we visited for my finances birthday, and unprompted they brought her cake and sang to her! I've already organised two more trips for later to show my family and friends, fan for life 11/10

My first visit to Zizzi Newcastle. Lovely food from a varied menu including Gluten Free options. Disappointing that although we were warmly greeted with menus of entering the restaurant we had to find our own table. Secondly, it would have been nice to have been asked if we enjoyed our meal at some stage during our visit. Clearly a need for more customer training in hospitality.
Incredible pizza with a customizable topping bar, plus a lively vibe and killer rock music make it a must-visit for pizza lovers!

Great food although the allergy book was a little confusing for this coeliac. They did have gluten free options and the pizza was very tasty. I was part of a large party and the others enjoyed several cocktails on the 90 minute limit. The service was good and everyone was friendly.
Step into a cozy space where amazing aromas and stunning decor create an unforgettable vibe, all at a surprisingly affordable price.

Service and quality of the food was excellent, however the increase in price since my last visit was a shock. Other restaurants on Dean Street and Grey Street charge around Β£12 for pizzas, Prima is now Β£18... and Β£5 extra for gluten free option is disappointing. I'll be looking at alternative restaurants next time.

Lovely pizza restaurant. Plenty of gluten and dairy free options. Knowledgeable staff. Could of done with more staff on when we went as it took a while to get attention once our pizzas were finished and we wanted pudding. Lovely vibe to the place.

WOW, the food was so good, we originally started out planning to have two courses but couldnβt resist a third. Their homemade gluten free bread was the best bread Iβve had since being diagnosed coeliac. The staff took my allergies extremely seriously and made us feel very welcome. I couldnβt recommend this place highly enough, it was mind blowing.
A vibrant pub with a chill vibe, huge portions, free movie screenings, and dog-friendly perks make it a must-visit gem in Newcastle!

We had a lovely time at City Tavern. We had a yummy lunch, including gluten free beer on tap. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian food options available. The vibe inside was lovely and the staff were really really nice and very attentive!! There was free wifi, free charging ports and very comfy chairs.
An added bonus is that they show movies for free at 2pm, 5pm and 8pm everyday on their giant outdoor screen!! Such a great vibe, definitely recommend as a stop in during a day in Newcastle.
On our return journey home to St Helens we were looking for somewhere to stop and have breakfast that catered for my wife who is coeliac and needs gluten-free options.
Well this place is perfect, just 2 minutes off the A69, with parking at the rear or on the main road. Itβs a quiet village so no problem parking. However you may need to book in advance as this place is popular, and no wonder.
What made our visit all the more pleasant was the people, not just the staff, also the locals, especially Gladys and Nellie, and they were just two dogs on the next table (adorable Cocker-pooβs) their owners were equally as nice and have to mention Billy another lovely local guy.
Anyway, we had two full breakfasts, my wife had gluten-free toast and sausage and have to say it was beautiful.
There was also a selection of gluten-free cakes available (if you just wanted a cake and a brew after a walk), we decided to take two slice of the gluten-free lemon drizzle cake home in a box, which Iβve just finished and was equally as tasty.
The perfect end to a great weekend (hello to the two lovely ladies we may see you camping one day) and thank you to all at the Hearth Cafe β€οΈ

Went for breakfast and it was all fantastic. The Middle Eastern breakfast was genuinely the best breakfast meal I've ever had. Could not recommend more. Had plenty of choice on the Gluten Free menu too for my partner who also really enjoyed it

Staff very welcoming, food was excellent, decor was really unusual and lovely, dogs allowed here. Gluten free options available. Very popular. It is in the student area of Jesmond.
Tables are a collection of different things, like and old school desk, or sewing machine stand.
A very enjoyable experience.

They even offer gluten free options which was great for my partner as they got to enjoy a cheese scone with me!
Would recommend to anyone passing by!

GLUTEN FREE REVIEW! Had a lovely gluten free Sunday lunch today. When we rang for the order, we were told I could be catered for with the exception of roasties and Yorkshire puds....that was fine. However, they called us back a few minutes later to say they would make separate gluten free roasties for me! This may seem like a small deal, but when you require gluten free (not a choice) it's hard to find places to eat, so the fact they did this went a long way for me! Thank you La Famiglia π

Visited with friends for our 27th wedding anniversary. We were greeted and taken straight to our table. Our server was brilliant she explained everything clearly and 2 of the party were gluten free...this restaurant caters for alot of allergies...everything clearly marked so you know exactly what you can and can't eat without the worry.
The salad bar has a huge range, the meats kept flowing and everyone was pleasantly stuffed.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you π

The food and drink here was excellent. Service was tremendous too! They were able to adapt the menu for my coeliac disease so it was definitely and safely gluten free. Sat on the terrace and watched our food cook on the bbq. Lush!

We had an amazing meal at Kiln at the weekend. The staff were incredibly helpful with my partner's dietary requirements. He's dairy and gluten free, and the chef came and had a chat with him to see what would be best to order. His food came out on a separate plate as well to avoid any contamination.
I loved it here and can't wait to visit again.

Fantastic hidden gem. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and they cater for everything, vegan, gluten free (which can be hard to find) vegetarian, and us regular eaters.
They have a brilliant range of ales and beers they are definitely worth trying out, they are happy to give you a taste before you buy any pints.
Really is worth a visit if you ever that way down the Ouseburn π

Had fabulous authentic Greek food here in a local restaurant on 4th December. They also do gluten free. The staff were very friendly and the price was very reasonable. Would recommend, but you will probably need to book as its quite small. They do takeaway as well in case you can't get a table. We will be going back for more.

Been waiting to order a Chinese from here for so long and it was definitely worth the wait! I havenβt had crispy chilli beef since becoming coeliac over 13 years ago, and they recommended the crispy beef in GF peking sauce and it was amazing. We also ordered the salt & chilli king prawns (amazing), egg fried rice, chips & curry sauce. Best gluten free Chinese Iβve ever had, you wouldnβt think it was any different to a regular Chinese takeaway order honestly. Thanks so much!!

We happened to call in here on the way to see a band. There was a great female singer on. Not sure if this is every Saturday night, but was nice to hear some music.
We looked at the menu and as I am GF this place has a great selection of non gluten containing foods.
The drink selection was excellent and prices reasonable.
Would definitely go back.
I really want to give this place 5 stars as it is amazing, and the food they have to offer looks so good.
HOWEVER as a gluten free vegan I was left with very little choice (a bit like being vegetarian back in the 90βs/00βs with only that ONE veggie lasagna as a choice). What I did get (jackfruit shawarma minus bread) was very delicious. More gluten free options needed.

A good afternoon/evening was had by my group & other customers whilst l was there aprox - 4 pm - 9.30pm, the Heaton Tap has an interesting selection of beers/ciders on draught & prices are reasonable.
Bar snacks are available plus l think l saw pickled eggs on sale behind the counter.
Bar service was fast but be patient & have a chat with the person behind you whilst waiting.
Not forgetting the gluten free beers/beers/ciders in the wall drinks cabinet.
The Heaton Tap is a very intimate & cosy establishment, & you may end up making friends with the folks on the next tables & who know you may become regulars (if you are not already) at the Heaton Tap.
