Had some awesome Cod/fish & chips. So good! My husband is celiac and they had a whole separate menu for him. He had the bean vegetarian burger which was also delicious.

This is a winner. My better half can't do gluten and just about every dish here had a GF option. The proprietor serves you directly and checks in. Only issue is noise when it is busy.

My husband and I had a lovely date night tonight at Glasshalfull! We’ve been here before with friends and enjoyed it, but since we live in Durham, it’s not a restaurant that comes to mind as often. I was looking for a place to have dinner for a little celebration and saw that they had an extensive gluten-free dessert selection :)
So we came tonight and plan to definitely keep this on our list of places to go! From the delicious, delicate salads, to the gluten-free crisps (yum!!) that came with the cheese appetizer to the entrees, to the gluten-free desserts, to the wonderful server (India), it was such a great night. I have to say that it was the best brownie that I’ve had in quite a while (GF and otherwise). It was baked in its own ramekin so there were “edges” all the way around and on the bottom - if you are someone who loves the edge pieces of brownies, this is the one for you!
Yes, the prices are a little higher, but that’s because they pay a working wage for their staff and so tipping is optional. The tables are nicely spaced so that you’re not right up against others. It was a cool night tonight, so we sat inside, but it looks like they have nice outdoor seating, so I hope we can come sometime and enjoy that :)
This spot offers a welcoming dog-friendly patio with outdoor heaters, perfect for relaxed gatherings. The ambiance is eclectic and inviting, complemented by excellent service and a well-labeled gluten-free menu ensuring a safe, enjoyable dining experience for those with gluten sensitivities.

This restaurant is very unique, and very good. Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. I ordered a quinoa plate with fried shrimp which had healthy, fresh ingredients. My wife got a dish with steak, rice and beans which was also very good. My son got an empanada and pulled chicken and he enjoyed it a lot. We then ordered vegan, gluten free banana pudding which was amazing. The meal was actually not very expensive considering what we got. I would strongly recommend trying this restaurant out if you have a chance to.

Will never come here again. Not recommended if you are VEGAN!!!!!
I ordered the VEGAN panella and VEGAN bibimbap. When the panella was served, I took a bite and noticed that the cheese tasted a bit off for vegan cheese. The server wasn’t around, and I didn’t want to overreact since I had clearly stated that I wanted the VEGAN panella.
Then the bibimbap came, and I was shocked. There was an egg and beef on top of the rice. I immediately told the person who served it that I had ordered the vegan version, and they replaced it.
When the person who took our order brought us the check, I saw that neither of my dishes was marked as vegan on the receipt. My friend’s pad thai, on the other hand, was clearly labeled with chicken as the protein. I told her the food had been wrong. She said she would speak to her manager. When she came back, she seemed to think we were complaining about the prices. It was NOT about the price. What upset us was their attitude. She never apologized.
I’m lucky I’m not allergic to dairy, so nothing serious happened to me. But what if someone with dietary restrictions orders vegan or gluten-free food and ends up getting something that could make them sick? It shows a complete lack of respect for customers.
Reintroducing dairy unexpectedly caused bloating and cramps. This was not only ethically disappointing but also had a direct impact on my health. I hope the restaurant handles vegan dietary requests more carefully, as mistakes like this can have real consequences.
The bibimbap was honestly the WORST I’ve ever had. Not good at all. Nothing about it was authentic. Since it’s called “bibimbap,” I expected it to come with Korean gochujang, but instead, they served some random sauce that tasted awful. And the greens that came with the panella were super salty!
Also, when she asked what we wanted to drink, we had to repeat multiple times that we just wanted water. Is that really so hard to understand?
And strangely, our table was the only one without a lit candle. I can’t help but wonder if all of this happened because we were the only two Asians there.

THE BEST GLUTEN FREE PIZZA AROUND. Their gluten sensitive crust is overall amazing. Perfect chew, gorgeous bake, great flavor. There were actually bubbles in the crust. The toppings didn’t just go to the edge in a super thin crust style because this is a true Neapolitan style pizza without the gluten! The gluten free crust is also the same size as the regular crust! So even though you are paying more, you are not also getting less.
I ordered takeout in person (cannot order takeout gluten free crust over the phone or online). I got the gluten sensitive margarita (fully cooked) and my partner had a regular/gluten containing pizza with fungi and sausage (par cooked and finished at home). We took home gelato as well.
Overall perfect. This will be a regular spot for us from now on.
