No MSG No Garlic Foodie
We decided to visit Victoria after finding several restaurants offering vegan food. Since Be Love is dedicated vegan and also gluten free, it was my first choice. However, there wasn't that many items on the menu to my taste, but since they promise seasonal items, I had hoped that there would be some pleasant surprises. The rest of my party decided to order organic red and white wines by the glass. I chose Earthblood Tonic juice made with carrot, beet, celery, kale and ginger. It was very refreshing and looked stunning. The Mac Bowl appealed to me because it claimed to have braising greens, seasonal vegetable, and broccoli. I was warned that the sauce contains garlic, but I took a chance hoping that it would be black garlic rather than fresh garlic. Fortunately, the garlic was hardly noticeable and I was not affected. It was a very rich dish and I loved the creamy taste of the sauce. The roasted hazel nuts were strange and tasted as though the vegetables still had soil/sand/grit. I was disappointed with the scant amount of greens and vegetables, and if I had known, I might have asked for extra vegetables. And of course, I could not finish it the macaroni. If it wasn't for the 'gritty texture' I would have rated this four stars. My friends ordered the daily special gluten free ravioli with nettle. They all loved it. We also shared a platter with flatbread, cashew cream cheese, apple & beet chutney. I was only able to have one item because the rest were heavy with garlic.
This spot boasts a vibrant atmosphere with great coffee and delicious brunch options, making it a favorite for locals in the area.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! As someone who needs gluten-free options, I was thrilled to see so many choices on the menu.
The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The only hiccup was the choppy radio, but when we asked if they could turn it off, they were incredibly kind and took care of it right away.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a friendly spot with excellent service!
With a cozy vibe and unique brunch options, this spot is loved for its hearty portions and outdoor heated seating, perfect for any craving.

To preface this review; our group is large, loud and frequent. I used to wait tables, and can tell you our party could be considered the group you "don't want" in your section. Can't say I've ever felt that way at this De Dutch. The accommodation, speed of service and patience I've experienced from our server Khan, and the supporting staff of hostesses & servers is excellent. We've been to neighboring spots and can say the experience at De Dutch is exceptional in this area. Highly recommended. As a Celiac, I can confirm several dishes are GF and delish without reaction.
A welcoming family-run spot known for its warm atmosphere and homey vibe, perfect for a cozy meal while traveling through.

I went there because they used to have really good gluten free practices but NOT ANYMORE.
Staff was not knowledgeable and unwilling to accommodate for celiacs. The food wasn't great. One of the guys was lovely but the rest of the staff was not very helpful.
