This message is for anyone suffering from gluten allergy seeing the gluten free options they offer and thinking to give it a try: this was the worst pasta I have ever had, and don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about the undercooking and over cooking of the pasta the sauce was "disgusting". I have no other words.

Awesome views, great location, clean rooms, gluten free options in the cafe which was a rare plus! The only slight downside is if you're staying in a bottom floor room you can easily hear footsteps and movement in the rooms above you (I know it's an older building). Overall great experience.

As a strictly gluten free customer, I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome and comfortable - they really knew what they were doing. It was a fastastic experience. I had the all you can eat BBQ, and they made a point of cooking everything in a separate pan for me. Top quality food, super friendly and attentive staff, lovely atmosphere. A great idea, this restaurant concept!! Everything can be done online...except the consumption itself! Nevertheless, there is very friendly and helpful staff present, who serve the Cordon Bleus, which is very originally prepared on a wooden board. There are a variety of different variations (even vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cordon bleu are available!!). The Cordon Bleus are very delicate and are served with fries or a large mixed fresh salad! The prices correspond to the price level of Adelboden. It's worth a visit!! There's nothing wrong with it. Everything is very clean! Apart from the fact that the ambience was a bit too cool for my taste, I think it's a bit of a shame. But that's a matter of taste! And something else; Dogs are welcome.

We recently gathered in Interlaken from Chicago, Florence and London to celebrate two birthdays. We made our way to Vela daily to share time, enjoy the artisanal coffees, teas and hot chocolates. Each time, we ended up sitting for over an hour, eating the clean, delicious food and enjoying the calm and cozy surroundings. The staff was incredibly friendly. And they had amazing gluten free options. Now that we are home, we find ourselves day dreaming about our time in Interlaken and our experience at Velo.

The restaurant advertises that it also offers gluten-free options, including gluten-free cordon bleu and schnitzel, which is generally very positive for people with celiac disease. From the very beginning of our visit, we emphasized several times that this was a medically necessary gluten-free diet and that special care should be taken. Nevertheless, we were served dishes or components that contained gluten three times – including a salad with breadcrumbs, which shattered our confidence right from the start. Even though the staff was friendly, these repeated errors left us with a constant feeling of uncertainty as to whether there might be hidden gluten somewhere. Especially when dining out for celiac disease, trust in the kitchen is crucial – unfortunately, this was not the case here. Given the high price, we had hoped for significantly more safety and professionalism. In our case, the experience was therefore unfortunately very stressful and disappointing.

Knowledgeable about gluten free food preparation and delicious! Also, great views and great service. My friend and I split the antipasta appetizer which they provided with the crostini on the side for her. I had the perch fillet salad as my entree and it was delicious. They brought me gluten free bread. They have gluten free pasta options. They did not rush us at all and asked us if we wanted a break in between our appetizer and entrees. We also enjoyed the cocktails. I highly recommend.

I liked the restaurant because of the gluten-free breadcrumbs. The cordon bleu is one of my favorite dishes! Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined the last few times. The fries arrive cold and taste like "rancid" frying oil and/or are over-fried. The cordon bleu are even less stuffed and dry. For the price, I expect more... The service is generally good! The ambiance and location are top-notch!

Very friendly and warm welcome. Fantastic food, authentic Italian cuisine. The pizzas and pasta were, as always, delicious. It also has gluten free pizza. Very attentive service. Atmospheric Christmas decorations, nice ambience. The restaurant was very busy as many groups met there for Christmas dinner. Meat served on a hot stone was very popular with these groups. There was sizzle from every corner :-)

I was very disappointed in this restaurant, especially considering all the good reviews! I ordered a hot chocolate and a ceasar salad without croutons because I have coeliac disease. I never got my hot chocolate and my ceasar salad had croutons. The salad was mostly made of rocket salad hearts as well. The restaurant is free seating, but not advertised anywhere so everyone waits at the door at first. There are no 2 peope tables, only 4 or more so the restaurant seems to fill up quickly when singles or pairs take a table. The only thing that was truly great is the view!

Great restaurant, the snack special, coffee and sandwich for CHF 6.50.- I think it's a very fair price. In addition, everyone who has a gluten intolerance can enjoy themselves here, because there are sandwiches for them too and the costs are no longer there and the gluten-free rolls are made by the owner herself. I always have a cheese sandwich and there is always different cheese in it, which is not a given either. Sandwiches are also made fresh. Brunches and other events also take place from time to time, wherever. Gluten free foods are on offer.

Fantastic experience! Highly recommend to go here for dinner and drinks, the staff are so friendly. I had the breaded crumbed chicken and it was the crunchiest chicken crumb I’ve ever had. So delicious! We shared the gluten free apple fritters and the were delicious too!

The restaurant is located in a beautiful old villa. It's 100% celiac friendly (I am celiac and they explained me that they are very strict since the daughter of the owner is celiac). Everything is daily freshly homemade. They have a weekly menu with vegetarian or meat options (also vegan or any other allergies are considered). It's an amazing anatolian mediterranean cuisine.
