Fantastic food, amazing waitress, gluten free menu with a great selection. I had the Floridian Omelette with real crab. Very rich but amazing. The cheesy grits are just grits with cheese on top but excellent food for the price! Highly recommend
Enjoy an incredible mix of baked goodies and southern dishes along with delightful seasonal drinks that make for a unique morning pick-me-up!

An amazing assortment of baked goods, southern dishes, and drinks. They have several gluten free options including a gluten free breakfast burrito - what a treat! I had the seasonal Catching Firefly’s latte this morning and it was a treat!
Expect great value with hearty portions, deliciously cooked steak, and fresh oysters, plus a standout red wine honey salad dressing.

Great value. With the steak entree you get a starter salad and two sides! The food was delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection. They made my meal gluten free with no problems. My guests ate steak with the Gouda potatoes and the chicken wrapped in bacon with asparagus and Gouda inside. The oysters were very fresh. The red wine honey salad dressing was to die for! I have to figure out the recipe to make it at home…
Update - I am reducing my 4 star review to a 3 star. I have had some really good burgers from other establishments lately and it has made me reconsider this burger being 4 star. It wasn't bad but could have been better. I will try a more traditional flavor next time to see if I can give some stars back. Stay tuned...
I have previously eaten at the location in the old mill several years ago. I went here a couple of weeks ago for the first time since they moved to this new location. I liked the layout and the menu was easy to read. We ordered at the counter then seated ourselves and waited for the food to be brought to the table. Burgers cost about $10 and fries are extra. For 2 single patty burgers, fries and drinks the bill totaled $37. That was a little pricey for burgers so I was hoping to be really impressed. I had the Greek burger and my wife had a burger with a Gluten Free bun which made her happy. When the food came out it was hot and looked made to order. The bun and burger meat were really good. The Greek topping was a little heavy and covered some of the flavors. The fries were hot but soggy and had an orange seasoning that I did not care for. I like more of a crispy fry with a burger. There are a few other places to get a great burger at a better value. With all said, I do like Ox Kitchen and would go back in the future to try something different.
This coffee spot stands out with its inviting outdoor patio, fun games for kids, and a vibrant atmosphere that keeps everyone coming back!

Kind Café – A Serendipitous Find in Fairhope!
I was first introduced to Kind Café with the guys while the ladies explored downtown Fairhope for wedding dresses—and it quickly became one of my favorite local finds. The name fits perfectly. There’s a real sense of kindness here, from the upbeat, welcoming staff to the small, thoughtful touches like inspirational quotes on coffee sleeves and the community bulletin board. It’s more than just a café—it’s a little hub of good energy.
What really surprised me, though, was the gluten-free bagel. I’ve had my fair share of dry or dense GF options over the years, but this one was genuinely soft, flavorful, and satisfying—perfect toasted with just butter. That alone earns high marks from me. I paired it with a hot cup of coffee, and it was the ideal start to the day.
The space itself is cozy and bright, with just the right mix of energy and calm. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in with a book, catch up with a friend, or simply enjoy a moment of stillness before jumping back into the world.
If you’re in the area—gluten-free or not—I definitely recommend stopping in. It’s not just about the food; it’s about how the place makes you feel.
A charming garden house vibe makes for a memorable lunch spot, with engaging service that leaves a lasting impression.

My waitress was Tawny and let me tell you I’ve never had a more engaged waitress. She was the sweetest thing ever and accommodated to gluten free life style. I will be visiting again! (Only to see her)
With flavorful Wagyu and huge bacon slices, this spot is a must-visit for burger lovers craving a delicious twist at reasonable prices.

Since I can't eat gluten, I don't get to have burgers out much. Some places like Locals & Ox Kitchen offer gluten free buns for an upcharge but I decided to bring my own gf bun from home so I could eat here since I love Bill-E's bacon. It was so worth it. Best burger I've had in years! I added the pimento cheese, which was creamy & tasty. The Wagyu burger was full of flavor & had huge slices of bacon on it. Ansley took great care of us. I'll be back often but will have to trade out the buns. This picture is the original bun before I switched to mine. Very reasonable prices as well.
