I love the classic diner feel, and Metro delivered on this experience. Mary was an excellent waitress with southern charm and very caring. I had their infamous chicken and waffles with strawberry butter and sweet and spicy sauce, and it was fantastic. The waffles with syrup drizzled on top were soft and melted in my mouth. The chicken paired with the sweet and spicy sauce was near perfection. My girlfriend got the BBQ Bacon Burger, a side of hash browns, and apple cobbler without ice cream. This place is super accommodating to people who can't have gluten or dairy, they even have a specifically gluten-free menu. The price for our food was just over 40 dollars for the two of us. It's a bit pricey but worth it. I'd recommend this place for your breakfast, lunch, and dinner needs (they even have breakfast all day for my fellow "breakfast for dinner" lovers).

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Gulf restaurant and it was a truly enjoyable experience! The vibe was incredible, creating an inviting space for a laid-back outing. A major highlight is their policy of welcoming dogs, allowing pet owners to bring their beloved companions. El barrio is one of Birminghams restaurants. You can expect to wait on friday and saturday evenings due to the high demand for delicious food at a reasonable price. The servers work harmoniously during busy times and have a streamlined process so that you have the best dining experience. They are gracious about accommodating dietary needs and restrictions which is so welcome due to the Birmingham food scene largely lacking that. The only things that could make them better is gluten free churros on the menu. Try the queso!

I’m from New York and on the way to the airport, I wanted to find a nice brunch spot somewhere near. I saw the reviews and pictures of this place and thought it would be a great place to try. The moment I come in, I already love the vibe of this place. Not only that but our server was very nice and friendly. We got the Farm Breakfast, Smash Burger, and the Royale Sandwich as our mains, along with the gluten-free blueberry muffin. And let me tell you they were absolutely delicious!! We also ordered a Matcha Latte with oat milk and the Golden Monkey Latte, and the drinks were phenomenal. They were so concentrated and the flavours were so rich, it made me love Matcha. Overall as a person who just was looking for something light to eat on the way back home, this was amazing! Anyone near this area must try this place out! I definitely recommend getting the dishes we got but if you wanna try something else I’m probably sure it won’t disappoint. If I am ever back in town I will definitely be coming back!

My food was fine but my wife got the gluten friendly pancakes but they kept coming out raw on the side, very doughy and not flaky. Management and our server were very nice about it though and removed it from our bill. We will go back but may not get the pancakes again.

A hidden gem for anyone with dietary restrictions! As someone who’s gluten-free and vegan, it’s so hard to find places that truly accommodate my needs especially while traveling. This spot was a lifesaver. They offer gluten-free sourdough (which is rare and so good), tons of smoothie options, and the kindest staff. I have a pretty complicated coffee order (self-proclaimed coffee snob), and they nailed it perfectly every single day. I came here every day of my 5-day trip it’s that good.

They do not have a gluten-free menu, but they are knowledgeable about gluten and cross-contamination and are able to adapt many items on their menu to suit. I had the shrimp & grits and it was phenomenal. My partner went with the pork chops and thought they were perfect. Our server was pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. Service was prompt. The atmosphere was a little bare bones/stark/cold, but it was fine.

BOOK A RESERVATION! Seriously, if you don't book a reservation, you may not be seated because this place gets packed. The truffle fries are ridiculously good with their custom-made condiments, a curry ketchup and basil mayo. This is also the only place in know of in all of Northern Alabama that is serving a Hangar Steak. If you aren't familiar with this cut of meat, that is because it isn't usually sold by butchers because they keep it for themselves. Do not ask for it to be overcooked, medium or more, it will become chewy. Gluten free friendly. A family member is severely allergic and has never had an issue here and we've been multiple times.

We had a great experience. We placed an order from out of state. A 50th anniversary cake. Ruth and her staff were excellent to work with. The cake wasn't ready when we came to pick it up and she delivered it to us at no charge. The gf df red velvet cake was amazing. The non gf crowd didn't even know. This isn’t entirely The Hound’s fault but, I informed the waiter that I have a gluten intolerance and I ordered a burger on gluten free bread with tater tots. She didn’t inform me that the tater tots weren’t gluten free, I was sick for the next two days because of this. They were good but, I feel like she should’ve let me know that.

Was told I could have the Brussel sprouts (coated in soy sauce - "because it was soy based" - I have celiac disease). We simply asked Google's Gemini for a place in Mobile that has good gluten-free options. We drove up from Orange Beach for the day because it was Misty and overcast. This is a quaint little restaurant in downtown Mobile that has good gluten-free choices and really good service. They don't have a specific gluten-free menu but they know how to make accommodations. The best gluten-free hamburger bun we've ever eaten in 15 years of being gluten free.

Very wonderful! Super accommodating for gluten and dairy free people. My wife ordered the red fish blackened with green beans and shrimp and she loved it! She thought they could use more sauce options for her allergies and I agree. But that’s a super minimal thing. I got the surf n turf and it was 10/10 excellent. Really liked the crab scallop cakes and I think the star of the plate was the pepperjack cheese grits. I will be bringing my whole family to come back.

I recently visited Another Broken Egg Cafe in Huntsville, AL, and I was thoroughly impressed! As a vegetarian, it can be challenging to find good options when dining out, but this restaurant exceeds the expectation. They have an entire vegetarian menu, and they’re very accommodating about making adjustments to items on the regular menu as needed. They also have a gluten free menu. We went early on a Sunday morning, before the crowd that often comes prior to church services. The place was quiet and peaceful, which made for a very enjoyable dining experience. I ordered the Southwest Scramble, removed the meat, and added spinach and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious! To enhance the flavor, I requested sour cream and hot sauce, which were the perfect finishing touches. The breakfast potatoes were a standout—perfectly crisp and wonderfully seasoned. As someone who loves lemon in my water, I was thrilled when my waitress brought me plenty, just as I requested. She was very attentive, promptly refilling our drinks and water throughout the meal. There was a small mix-up when someone at our table ordered an item not realizing it included bacon. The mistake wasn’t the waitress’s fault—it was ordered incorrectly—but she still apologized sincerely and replaced the dish quickly without any hassle. While the food and service were fantastic, it’s worth noting that the meal was a bit on the expensive side, costing about $20 per person. However, the quality of the food and the excellent service made it a special occasion option. Another Broken Egg Cafe is a great spot for a delicious breakfast or brunch, especially if you’re looking for vegetarian-friendly options.

First let me say, Sarah C. was one of the best servers I have ever had in Mobile, Alabama. She was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! As someone with Severe Celiac, I don't often feel safe eating out, but she reassured me and made sure my food was cooked properly and I did not get sick!! (which is a HUGE win for me!) Sarah was incredibly personable and treated me with kindness and respect. In future visits, I will be asking to sit in her section because she took such great care of me. It was so reassuring to know that she has people in her life with celiac, which just boosted my confidence in her abilities and knowledge!

This may be the best coffee in Huntsville! I used to stop at Honest in Nashville and was thrilled when they opened one up in my hometown. This is high quality coffee that I only take away the star for how expensive it is, and the charge for a non-dairy milk. As someone with dairy sensitivity and a husband with a severe dairy allergy, it is frustrating when places that are already pricy charge extra for something you cannot go without. Other than that, the vibe here is so cozy and is always busy. I love that they also carry some Mason Dixon gluten free pastries! While I can’t afford it daily, this is always a fun stop when I want a special coffee.

An amazing dining experience! Dinner with my friends while traveling for work. I had amazing oysters from PEI and the smoked fish dip is next level good. My friend got the pork belly appetizer and loved it. I am gluten intolerant and I had plenty of options and modifications were made available. We all had fish, from Mahi to flounder and everyone was happy. Our server Jonathan was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The bar had good options and my French 75 was well balanced and tasty. Spendy,but worth the splurge. I highly recommend this place!

There’s a reason you’ll see people lined up for a table on the weekend. No brunch place competes with Another Broken Egg. The food is cooked with love and huge portion sizes. Always an excellent experience at The Curry! Friendly staff, delicious food that makes your body feel good after. I've had most everything on the menu and it's all so good. Their lunch buffet is excellent! They have excellent dietary accommodations. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, have a nut allergy, or whatever the case may be, they're able to accommodate. It's a favorite place of mine to bring friends and family for that reason. Methi Malai Matar with Paneer is my personal favorite.

One of the better places to eat on Dauphin Island. Expect a wait but the view is beautiful. The food and drinks are pretty decent with good sized portions.
