Delicious. The cinnamon roll was amazing. While a bit pricey for a standard bakery, the $25+ tip for 3 baked items and a regular coffee felt average priced for a gluten-free bakery.
The women behind the counter were friendly; they waved and giggled with my daughter, and we enjoyed a brief chat.

everything on the menu looks so good so it's hard to pick what to eat, all the food was delicious and it's very gluten friendly. we tried the chicken tikka sandwich which was a beautiful fusion and the blackberry salmon which wasn't too sweet and cooked perfectly

Amazing customer service, people were extremely nice and friendly. Food was good and had excellent choices for vegan and gluten free, allergy friendly menu items. Not super expensive either, which is a huge plus so I can come here more regularly.
Only leaving 4 stars because of the water having salt/minerals* and they had to remake my friend’s vegan tacos. Also would add that my mocktail was mostly ice… They were really good about providing allergen free laminated menus with notes.
*Suggestion to restaurant, I know other people have commented about the water. It probably would have been a 5 stars if not for water quality. It just was a gritty tap like taste.
(FYI water snobs in Madison, RED has the best free water served in restaurants)

I didn't capture pics of the food. I ate here two days in a row. First day I had the turkey n bacon sandwich on gluten free bread with cabbage slaw side. Today I has the pumpkin cinnamon roll gluten free pancakes 🥞!! Let me tell you! Best gluten free pancakes I have ever had. Moist, hot, delicious!!! Highly recommend.

I was taken aback when I found out they not only offer gluten free crust, but DAIRY free cheese as well! I’ve had frozen Daiya pizzas before that are…alright? But this was easily the best pizza I’ve had since going down the sad pit of a gluten/dairy free life.

Last week I had friends from out of town visiting Madison and I suggested we go to my favorite local pizza place : Grampa’s .
Cannot believe I had not left a review as I have been coming here for years and they have been my go to take out pizza place . I have brought friends , family and business colleagues here .
This is not your traditional pizza place . It is not thick crust , it’s not deep dish and it’s not Neapolitan . All of which I enjoy , but this place is unique . Not only is the crust thin but the toppings are specially crafted to create a memorable combination of flavors .
From their menu I have had every pizza flavor . Each topping has been selected and all go so well together . Seasonally (depending on what’s in season) they offer a unique flavor , like summer corn or fall turnip .
Tonight we chose Jambroni which I always add their chicken sausage and the Barbarini with extra watercress on top . Best part about the offering here is the availability of gluten free crust on the menu .
When dining in the staff is exceptionally friendly and know all about the flavor combinations. When doing take out the service is fast and I have never experienced any delay .
On occasion they have a shortbread rosemary butter cookie which is given at the end of the meal and it’s so tasty .
Five stars to this institution of specialty non traditional pizza in Madison .

This Jason's Deli is always clean and well-maintained. Staff is prompt and always friendly. One of my kids has Celiac Disease and Jason's Deli is one of the few places in Madison that we can trust for him not to get gluten contamination because they take gluten free seriously. I'm vegan gluten free and was in town for the afternoon. Once I saw the menu here I knew I had to go. I had the Banzo platter with falafel & tahini, hummus & carrots, rice and salad. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve gotten anything from Fresh Fin, and I had forgotten how INCREDIBLE the food is. All of their ingredients are super fresh and tasty. I’ve tried their more traditional fish-based bowls, as well as a few of their other options, and have never been disappointed. *One of my favorite things about this place is how accommodating they are to different dietary needs and preferences. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, watching carbs and/or cals, just about anything you could imagine. If you order online, they also have a section where you can note any allergies down to the specific ingredient in your bowl and their kitchen. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so accessible. Even if it’s not for a specific dietary restriction, the customizability is a huge benefit and means you could eat here daily for months and always have something new to try. I’ve seen some comments about the prices, but the portions you get are beyond reasonable. I’ve had leftovers from the smaller size! Service has always been very quick and friendly in my experience. Just an overall wonderful spot with hearty and healthy foods!

Unhelpful when I called to inquire about gluten free and dairy free options. Just kept telling me it is all in the same oven and there was no effort to accommodate. So if you have celiac disease or require gluten free meals don't bother wasting your time here.
Celiac beware!! Ordered a gluten free sub for an allergy. Watched them fry the meat on the same grill they were toasting buns. When I asked them about it the "lead" guy denied it. I stated that I just watched you do it. He said " this is the first bread on the grill today", this was was at 1pm. I asked again so you never put any other bread on that grill? He stated "we clean it after every sandwich" and " I don't understand the process because NO one has ever been sick with his way of doing it." I asked if he knew the difference between gluten-free and Celiac disease. He refunded the money.
Place wasn't clean and all three workers were rude to each customer prior to us.
I have celiac disease so I have to be careful about gluten and they made sure to make my tofu separate from their normal fryer. I've always loved this place even before finding out I couldn't eat gluten! Great tasting food and the quantity you get is amazing, I always have leftovers which I always look forward to. Very vegetarian and vegan friendly also, any dish can be substituted with tofu rather than meat!
Impressive variety and generous portions make this spot a hit, especially for those with picky eaters in tow.

These guys have the best pizza in Madison. The sauce, the cheese, the sausage, it's all outstanding. AND, if you want a gluten-free crust they have TWO to pick from. Their normal gluten-free is great, and shockingly, so is their cauliflower crust (which was probably intended for the keto folks, but my gluten eating husband loved it.

My girlfriend has a gluten intolerance allergy but was curious to try a concrete for the first time, knowing there was a risk of cross contamination but being willing to risk it. We told the drive-through opperator that she had a gluten allergy, and they checked the ingredients for us and marked the order on the sign with a gluten (wheat) allergy flag. When we pulled up to the window, the nicest employee gave us a number and warned us that it would be a few minutes because... they cleaned the blenders, the tools to mix and scoop, and even the extruder. This level of service at a fast food restaurant is unparalleled even compared to Chick-fil-A! We will be visiting other locations in the future with hopes of equal service!

My favorite coffee shop in Madison! I have a severe gluten allergy and they were very accommodating and knowledgeable, and made me a breakfast sandwich with a gluten free bagel in the oven instead of the panini press to avoid cross contamination. The coffee is incredible and if you can manage to get a table, the environment is awesome.

The best falafel you’ll find in Madison. Super accommodating for gluten allergies, speedy pick up service, and amazing and kind staff. My partner and I weren’t sure about how much food would be in the falafel platter so we ordered more falafel on the side. The platter came with SIX (6) falafel!!!! Love this coffee shop in Madison on the Square. Our Go-to when we visit our Badger because of the gluten free cornbread...we order with bacon egg cheese and it's DELICIOUS. Happy our experience at Merchant was as wonderful as usual. We had friends from out of town visiting and wanted to show off Madison's food scene. Cocktails were top notch as was the wine I chose with my meal. I ordered the squash risotto which was excellent, even better than expected. Our table of 8 enjoyed the cheese curds and everyone loved their entrees, including the whitefish, chorizo verde and fried chicken sandwich. The desserts were delicious and our gluten and dairy intolerant guest was thrilled with the chocolate brownie dessert, as was the rest of the table. A great success all around.

Easy to order on line and it came in an hour as anticipated. You get the estimated time once you pay. Wish it was before paying, but not a big deal. Problem is the pizza's were not worth it. Almost $50 with tip and not hot, really tough crust. Light on toppings. Almost no cheese. Disappointing - we ordered both a gluten free pizza for our guest and a Santa Fe Special (BBQ Chicken) - neither was good. Ended up throwing most of it away. My 17 year old would not even finish one piece! LOL - that says a lot. Will not be ordering again - I had their pizza a couple years ago and it was good. Something changed.

Steenbock's catered our wedding in August of 2024. They did an incredible job with the appetizers, dinner, and late night food. They were very accommodating and flexible with the menu - we were able to pair custom sides with one of the entrees without any trouble at all, to make the food just what we wanted. They were able to accommodate a last minute (2 days before the wedding!!) switch of an entree to gluten free. Our meeting with Diana, the event manager, before the wedding was really helpful to nail down all of the details she needed for the night. The servers during the night were very professional. In addition, the food was delicious. People raved about it. Steenbock's provided plates and silverware for the dessert table even though they weren’t providing the desserts. Diana was helpful throughout the planning process answering questions promptly via e-mail about name card stickers, timeline, etc. We were really pleased with Steenbock's and thought they did an exceptional job.

I ADORE Settle Down Tavern! We were in Madison for the weekend and this place was at the top of our list due to the great reviews. The selection of drinks was wonderful, the vibe was immaculate, and our server China was absolutely stellar. I have gluten and dairy allergies and they couldn't ensure the food would be safe due to cross contamination which was a bummer, but everything else made up for it. We will most definitely be coming back!
