We had dinner at del padre today. I myself have celiac disease and have to eat gluten-free. I decided on a carpaccio and asked if there was gluten free bread. I was then offered a fresh pinsa, which was extremely fine. Can highly recommend the restaurant: ambience, food and service were excellent. It certainly won't be the last time I eat there. Thanks!

I recently visited this restaurant and had an unpleasant dining experience. I ordered a gluten-free pasta dish, but unfortunately, the quality was very disappointing. The pasta was incredibly salty, making it difficult to enjoy. The waiter tried to fix the issue by adding more sauce, but that only made matters worse as the sauce was also overly salty.
It was clear that the food didn’t live up to expectations, especially considering the high reviews. I understand that being a tourist destination doesn’t always guarantee good food, but I was hoping for something much better. Honestly, the food in the mountains (where I had much better meals) was far superior, and even a simple red sauce would have been a better option than what I received here.
In my opinion, this place is highly overrated with poor-quality food. I cannot recommend it based on my experience and certainly won’t be returning. And even they charge to tap water.

Great find for a low key dinner in Bern. The gluten free pizza was delicious- a light as air crust that still had the char from the oven. I’ve never had a crust so good! We sat outside on a lovely summer night and enjoyed the people watching!
