Met up with two friends for dinner before a movie. First time here and the moment we stepped in we were acknowledged and seated. They have a gluten free menu. Our server, Jappan, was very attentive and friendly she kept checking on us as we were talking and deciding on what to eat. Two of us decided to have the Simple Burger with a gluten free bun and the chicken salt fries, it was delicious and just the right amount of food.
There was a little mix up with our order being received by the kitchen, the server told us about it and was very apologetic. I loved that she was honest and kept us informed as to when our food would come out.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant and if I am back in the area, I would go there again.

I have to this place a few times over the past few weeks for business meetings. I was so impressed I took my wife for dinner tonight. Again great food and service. My wife has gluten allergies so we had the gluten friendly crust. The best gluten friendly pizza around.

Great restaurant! Servers and hosts are all very friendly, kind and welcoming. Food was great and the Zero proof beverages were refreshing with a nice decoration :) They have variety of entrees as well, my favorite was definitely the Avocado dip which was sooo flavorful!!! They have many main dish options, vegetarian and vegan. I believe they have gluten free options as well which is awesome! The place itself was beautiful, really cozy but also fancy. I will definitely come back to eat here, loved my visit!
Thank you 🤎

Had my first visit to Hawthorne’s Beer Market, and it certainly won’t be my last! This spot has an awesome local pub vibe, with a welcoming atmosphere and exceptionally friendly service. The staff truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home.
As someone who eats gluten-free, I was blown away by their amazing GF pizza—perfectly crispy, flavorful, and loaded with quality toppings. Plus, they offer a great selection of gluten-free options, which is a huge win.
Looking forward to coming back and enjoy the patio this summer! If you’re looking for a laid-back, welcoming pub with great food and drinks, Hawthorne’s is a must-visit.

I booked Hugo’s catering for an event and got a lot of positive feedback from my guests. The taco buffet had a good selection of fillings and toppings, the portions were good and the food tasted fresh. Hugo’s offers dairy free, gluten free and vegetarian options, so everyone’s dietary needs were considered. The delivery was on time and everything was warm and ready to eat. I also added a margarita kit and churros for dessert- both were a hit. I would recommend for your event!

Wife and I came here from outside the area (planning to visit the beach afterwards) for breakfast on January 1, 2023. Very positive experience -- food was great and our server was wonderful. So glad that they were able to accommodate a gluten-intolerance as well.
A vibrant patio experience with attentive service and a cozy vibe makes this spot ideal for a casual outing.

I have been at this location many times, and has always been a positive experience. I just ordered the Chicken Santa Fe Salad, and I left a note mentioning my dietary restrictions as a Celiac. I really appreciate the staff member who took the time to write a hand written message letting me know that they got my note about being Celiac, and confirmed that the tortilla strips on the top were gluten free! It probably took little time, but made me feel a lot more confident enjoying my meal. And of course, the salad was a 10/10!!!
A ground-level spot with spacious free parking, it’s child-friendly and offers quality with a nice vibe, but watch out for the breakfast cutoff at 10am!

Restarant is on ground level and only has one level. Looks handicapped accessible.

It's such a tiny store and yet some of the best easy pizza near me. They have plenty of topping options and it's amazing that they have gluten free because a family member has celiac disease. It's super cheap and greatly portioned.

My family and I had a great experience. With the exception of root beer, there was something on the menu for all of us. A lot of gluten free options as well as Vegan and plant based. Good healthy and delicious options as well. And then there was the burgers that were very satisfying. Really nice restaurant. Option of sitting where it's quiet or in the lounge where there's a great social vibe going on.
Enjoy an upscale vibe with a stunning variety of appetizers and drinks, plus private rooms for intimate gatherings and celebrations.

They have a lot of gluten free options, the pizza was so good! The chicken sandwich fell apart with the gluten free bread but the appetizers, the dessert, and the pizza were amazing! The food was great and the recommendations from our server were fantastic. Thank you Erin for being so careful about my gluten allergy! And thank you so much to the kitchen for taking every precaution when preparing my meal. It is so stressful eating out because of the severity of my allergy, but Erin took the time to double check with the kitchen on multiple items to make sure her recommendations were safe for me. This is now my go-to restaurant when I am in town. Thank you!

I really wanted to like it as the 5 star reviews all said how amazing it was, especially the dough. In my opinion, the dough is way too dense and thick. It's not airy enough or light enough that you'd want to have more. I would say I'm a pretty big eater, I can finish a whole medium box pizza if I'm hungry enough. Even regular crust pizza hut, Domino's etc, no problem as the dough didn't make me feel like I'm full after 2 pieces. Here? After two pieces I just couldn't stomach anymore. The dough was extremely chewy, to the point where by the second piece I was literally tired as I spent more time chewing than enjoying the flavors.
I understand there is a thin crust option but that's gluten free. Have you tasted gluten free pizza? It tastes like cardboard. I would strongly suggest looking into your dough recipe, it's way too dense. I thought it might've been a one off with my pizza but nope, I ordered 2 mediums and the dough was the exact same density. Pizza has a strange phenomenon where after the first slice, you want more and you will eat more but here? Both times I simply just wanted to stop at the second piece as the chewing of the dough really just turned off the whole experience and simply made me feel full immediately.
Again, I am for regular crust or thin crust, it doesn't matter to me. But this is not regular crust, this is DENSE to the point where you'd need more tomato sauce to make it more palatable and not feel like you're eating a thick loaf of dense bread with toppings on it. I'd love to give it another chance as I wanted to support local but it is hard to do when the not so amazing chain pizza place simply tastes better than this, in my opinion.

Eating out without getting fat can be tough. To keep your pants from getting too tight, you need to mix in a salad once a while. For a tasty salad that isn't rabbit food, check out the Chopped Leaf.
As someone who could happily eat a cheeseburger everyday of his life, I was skeptical of a place that specializes in salads. The Chopped Leaf offers a nice variety of fresh salads that are straight forward, fresh, and full of flavor. These are not some vegan hipster raw food hoity toity concoctions full of lettuces that look and taste like weeds. I prefer the Bangkok salad, the sesame dressing with a hint of hot and spicy is excellent. It even has chicken and noodles. Try it!
The sandwiches and wraps are good, but they are a bit pricey for what you get. Stick with the salads. If you are going to be eating healthy, go for the maximum helping of healthy.
Having to pay for the "chopped" water, a citrus and fruit infused water that they have on tap, seems like a bit of a cash grab. Ordering an entree should include water in my humble opinion. Most places give you water with lemon for free. You can send a text and get a "free" water to lessen the hit on your wallet.
This is going to come off as chauvinistic, but the restaurant comes across as a place targeted for women. Lots of salads, big sign about gluten free, no fries, no beer, no desserts, no tvs with sports. Pretty obvious that the target demographic is not the typical male. I even heard someone say that "my husband would never come here" when having a lunch with my wife. My advice to guys would be to slyly suggest going here as a way to win some brownie points, just don't be too overt about it or else your wife or girlfriend will think that you think they are fat and need to eat a salad. You don't want that. If you're better half suggests the chopped leaf it is the safest way to try it.
Joking aside, the chopped leaf is great option for someone with dietary restrictions. They have many carb free and gluten free options.
So, when your buttons are bursting, or you want to "eat healthy", try a Chopped Leaf salad. Take it from this junk food junkie, they are actually really good.
A spot where quick fixes and generous extras turn any hiccup into a delightful experience, making every visit a memorable one.

We went here 2 weeks ago and it was great! The gluten free chicken burger and fries are top tier and our waitress was very helpful accommodating our needs. My girlfriend’s chicken pasta came out without chicken and they were very quick to make a whole new pasta for her free or charge (they even threw in an extra chicken breast cooked to perfection) and also since they felt bad they gave us free dessert! It was pretty awesome! Even if they made a mistake, they were quick to make things better.
Known for attentive service and a commitment to dietary needs, this spot offers a reliable dining experience that keeps guests coming back.

I give it 4 out 5 stars for food quality and quickness and freshness:). But I am little disappointed that you shrunk the medium french fries in the combo which is now a fair not fair :(. Please bring back the large french for medium french fries, thanks. Please create a Gluten Free Bun. Browns and White Spot and Catcus Club and Triple O's all have one. Thanks
Best place for wrap everything is fresh. Party tray are also available. Staff is friendly and polite. Service os fast. They also have gluten free wrap. Their fries are best in town. Must try it.

By far the best bhaturas I’ve had in this country!
Crispy, flaky and fried to perfection, the bhaturas at this place are refreshingly authentic. Unlike most other desi food joints that usually serve lumps of fried gluten in the name of bhaturas, these guys actually know what they are doing.
For those with a sweet tooth, they also make really good mithai, which is hand made in-house, from scratch!

Ordered gluten-free noodles. I specified to the workers that I was gluten and soy intolerant. Got home and started eating the food just to realize that they were gluten based noodles.I had a horrible reaction and tried reaching out but nobody got back to me. Do not recommend.

The atmosphere was nice presentation very good, the servers were very pleasant came around with a lot of tea. The prices were a little high. There was the usually gluten free stuff and gluten free soya sauce
Amazing wings. Love them. Good selection of beer. The waiters are always nice and informative. I've been here quite a few times. A wry time I go I'm always impressed of how good the wings taste. They have vegan options as well as vegetarian and celiac. Also the food is prepared very quickly. Usually only will have to wait 5-15 mins for food. Would recommend to anyone.
I love the "Awakin' with bacon" wrap on gluten-free pita bread. I have celiac disease and this is one of the few places I feel safe enough to eat in the area.
Food and atmosphere were fine; standard for White Spot.
Service was where they really fell off. I asked if I could order from the kids' menu as I'm a bariatric patient and can't eat full sized servings. The server didn't seem sure if he could do that (we got the sense he was new to working at this restaurant), so he got his manager. When I asked her if I could do this, explaining that other White Spots allowed me to do this without batting an eye, she came back with, "Which ones?" with very obvious (and very unnecessary) doubt in her voice. I quickly listed off the no fewer than four or five locations that have no issue with me doing this. She said that she'd let me do this, "just this once," and then left.
I really don't appreciate this kind of "service". I'm basically explaining that I have a medical condition that prevents me from eating full sized servings and asked for very reasonable and simple accommodations to be made for me. If I were ordering this to go, there would be *zero* conversation about this. If I said I was allergic to hazelnuts and ordered a dessert with hazelnuts put on top of it, the kitchen would remove the hazelnuts without second thought. If I said I was Celiac, the kitchen would make sure there would be no cross contamination in preparing my food without second thought. This really isn't all that different so why do I get all this attitude?
Add to that, they quite clearly wanted our table to leave after a point by the way they would very pointedly and repeatedly ask if there was anything else we needed or wanted. There were no parties waiting to be seated at the host station, there were no fewer than a half dozen available four tops in our section alone.
So yeah, I definitely won't be making any active steps to return to this White Spot location. I'll continue to go to the other locations, like the North Road location in Burnaby, where they actually value my patronage.
Expect unique menu items like mortadella pizza with pistachios, creative drinks, and a lively vibe, making it a standout spot in the area.

Celiac friendly, lots of gluten free stuff on the menu. Somewhat weird choices though, like mortadella pizza with pistachios and fig glaze. Not bad per se, just not traditional. Drinks are fantastic and very creative, I didn't know what to pick there were so many interesting things! Service was friendly and fast. It's the nicest place around the area for sure. I would absolutely go back!
