This was a go-to staple for my fiancé and I whenever we were in the area, but it has left us disappointed the last few visits. The first five or six times we visited our visit was a 5/5. The food was great! The staff were perfect. But in the last 6 months or so, it has been a 2 maybe 3/5 stars... Not sure if there was a shift in the kitchen, or what happened, but, being gluten free, I have been not been convinced I have actually gotten an entirely gluten free meal. I never had an issue with the wings before, and they always looked to be GF. But the last two times we visited, the staff seemed to be absolutely confident that the wings are GF, but after I've eaten them, I've felt sick afterwards. I hoped it was just a one off so I gave them a second chance, but, now I regret that. My fiancé was also disappointed by his own meal (the tostadas) this last time we came by. He mentioned they were damp, and the entire bowl fell apart in his hand. Since this was one of our favourites, we are deeply saddened to see this place disappoint us.

My favourite coffee shop in NS 💓 I’m so lucky to live in the Valley and get to visit the locations often. Yes, the prices are more expensive than Tim Hortons or McDonalds but they don’t even compare because T.A.N. has amazing flavours. For food, I recommend the gluten-free brownie or curry puff- both are so yummy. For drinks I love oat lattes with amaretto syrup. The staff is always friendly and happy when I go in, which is nice to see- it makes me think that T.A.N. has great owners :) The atmosphere is cozy and I love going to study here or play a board game at the Kentville location. Thank you T.A.N.!

When we approached owner, Jesse, about the possibility of us hosting a little surprise birthday open house for our mother's 85th, without hesitation, he said yes. Jesse made not one, but three delicious gluten-free/dairy-free cakes and he and barista, Alta, took care of all 23 guests attentively and graciously (while tending to other patrons). Always excellent coffees, desserts, and light lunches prepared and served in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Jesse! If there were 10 🌟 s to give, Charts would have them!
