REALLY great experience here. They had gluten free options, and the gluten free bread for my club was top two breads that I've tried. Customer service was off the charts, everyone treats you like a friend. The selection was great, drinks were good. Would recommend this place to anyone. They also have bread for sale and some merch. Little pricey, but it's worth it to support local!!

Went for the Nutella noodle cheesecake (March 11-5, 2025 only) and left with the peanut butter cheesecake too. Sweet Hereafter is an adorable cheesecake and coffee/tea restaurant, perfect for a date, catch up, late night dessert or to take out. It’s a ‘Ma and Pa’ business, locally owned and operated and the Pa makes all the recipes. And they have gluten free options. They’re closed on Sundays and Mondays so plan ahead. So glad it’s on my dessert choice list now!
Quaint and cozy spot with a charming aesthetic and local crafts, perfect for grabbing a drink before visiting the nearby petting farm.

What a cute gem! I ordered the lavender london fog, home limonade and, deluxe veggie sandwich.
The drinks : 5/5 - the London fog was insanely good, the lavender syrup is so delicious
The veggie sandwich : 3/5 - sadly it was disappointing as it really missed something to make it more of a complete meal and more balanced flavours like hummus or veggie pâté or tofu spread. It was a toast with lettuce, tomatoes, shreded carrots, a small slice of cheese and a pickle on top. The veggies were kf high quality and very fresh. However, I was hungry 1 hour later 🥲 because of the lack of protein. (Note : mine was with gluten free bread which makes it extra dry)
But I still highly recommend this café for something other than the veggie sandwich. The gift shop is lovely.
Quaint spot with a cozy vibe, offering unique vegan delights and a good variety of choices, perfect for a casual lunch break.

Love this place. Just stopping in town for lunch and then coffee was great and I had a ham and Swiss sandwich with cranberry mayo that I can't stop thinking about. It had to right too be that good. They had gluten free bread for my girlfriend which was a big plus. Stopping there felt like a lucky find.
The layout of the place feels a little awkward at times. It maybe just because the place is a bit smaller.
Nestled by the water, this charming cafe boasts amazing dishes, an array of fresh smoothies, and a cozy vibe you'll love!

What a fantastic little cafe located in a beautiful little town. Just up from the water you’ll find the Kiwi Cafe!
As part of my Eggs Benedict Tour I’m currently on. You know what I ordered. And it was great! A little untraditional using ham and not peameal, but that’s forgivable as it tasted amazing!
The roasted potatoes as the side was great. They give you lots and they are well seasoned. I felt they could have been a little warmer, but I ate every crumb!
Easily part of the clean plate club!
I also grabbed a couple Gluten Free items from the front for a friend of mine!
Stop in, have a bite or get a coffee to go, you won’t be disappointed!

I was looking for a great cup of coffee and a bite to eat and noticed the good reviews and gluten free options. Sadly, I found the coffee underwhelming - very weak and flavorless. My GF breakfast sandwich tasted good and was delivered to the table by very personable staff but I found it to be expensive, for what it was. I also had a GF/vegan macaroon but it tasted nothing like a macaroon. It was very odd tasting making me wonder what I was ingesting. 🫢 Lastly, I wished I had not gone to the washroom; it was surprisingly dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned in a long while, a real turn off to eating there again. I thought I would like the place based on the reviews but there were just too many negatives for me.

Nice little restaurant with a small patio overlooking the harbour.
Since it was very busy we did not get a patio space but sat indoors, still a bit of view.
Very friendly staff!
The food was good, we had some desserts as well, also one in gluten free.
I would have loved fries with the fish....
And it would be great if breakfast hours would be longer.

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast last week before we did Shubie River Wranglers tidal bore rafting. My husband had a delicious omelet and I had the pancakes and bacon. Today we stopped again, this time for lunch, on our way from Lunenburg to Cape Breton. My husband had the full house salad with chicken and I had a chicken salad sandwich with home fries. Both times we also did take out for their meat pies and desserts. We love everything about this lovely restaurant. Service and food are top notch. My husband has a gluten allergy and the menu was very accommodating for him. Make sure to stop by if you are in Truro!
This is a lovely café. I just wish they'd offer a few fresh gluten free items that are not School House commercial baked goods. These taste like sawdust. Once in a while I'd like a break from the pecora although these are lovely.

The shop is wheelchair accessible and the walls post art from the Truro arts society.

Pretty good place. Many board games to choose from. It would be nice to play some new releases too. Food is simple, but would benefit from more variety of shareable snacks (gluten free salty snacks ideally).

I find it utterly ridiculous that to order a gluten free sandwich, I have to pay the same price as a regular sandwich but I am getting served half the amount of food. It is bad enough when restaurants charge extra money just for someone to eat a gluten free bun, but to be asking for that much money for that little food is disrespectful. Eating gluten free for many people isn't an optional lifestyle choice. It is medically necessary, and we shouldn't have to break the bank to eat out. What this is is ableism based in capitalism.
The food here is sub par for the price I am paying. There are a few things that are definitely good enough that maybe the price is okay, but the vast majority is not.
The kindness and skill of the staff is the one redemptive quality of the establishment. They are excellent servers and baristas. Every employee I interacted with was delightful.

This is just the kind of place I like to experience.
Everything we ate tasted great. And you also get gluten-free alternatives.
The gluten free wrap was great. Because it's so good, the café is always busy. That's something that makes up part of the atmosphere.

They knew all about cooking for celiac people, too, like my mother. It's always a relief when she can eat in confidence that she won't react!
Both Annie and her helper Kahleah are both super friendly and knowledgeable! With beyond normal courtesy! I can't recommend this place enough you have to eat here!

We have been in for lunch, as well as brunch/coffee many times, and have always had a great experience. Amazing gluten-free vegan meals, desserts, smoothies and icecream! Everything is homemade down to their sweeteners. Great selection of teas, coffee and snacks that Leanna would pack into gift baskets. Leanna and staff are always welcoming and helpful. They prepared meals for me in bulk. I froze them all and heated one each day. This ensured me to have a nutritious homemade meal everyday after work. It was a lifesaver! Pacha mama is a must-visit spot in Antigonish!

My favourite coffee shop in NS 💓 I’m so lucky to live in the Valley and get to visit the locations often. Yes, the prices are more expensive than Tim Hortons or McDonalds but they don’t even compare because T.A.N. has amazing flavours.
For food, I recommend the gluten-free brownie or curry puff- both are so yummy. For drinks I love oat lattes with amaretto syrup.
The staff is always friendly and happy when I go in, which is nice to see- it makes me think that T.A.N. has great owners :)
The atmosphere is cozy and I love going to study here or play a board game at the Kentville location. Thank you T.A.N.!
Love this local café. We stop in here every time we are in the area and love the homestyle cooked food. We were delightfully surprised they really cater to gluten free needs and have quite a variety of dishes you can order that are gluten free. They even had the hot turkey dinner with gluten free gravy, which so many other places don’t even consider. Great service. Good food. We definitely recommend it.

Café Caye Mangé is truly a gem in yarmouth for vegans and non-vegans. Pamela, the owner and cook, has a heart of gold. she is always generous and kind and really cares for her customers. the food she makes is delicious - i have tried almost every menu item and have never been disappointed! my favourite is the rice and oxtail, and the zesty island chicken burger. it is seriously the best burger i have ever had!! and it comes with the yummiest sauce and softest brioche bun (gluten free option also available).
Along with the food, there are also various assorted desserts made from scratch by Pamela too! Some desserts are seasonal and rotate. These are always delightful and it’s such a rare find to get homemade vegan baked goods. I can not recommend this place enough, whether it be for the flavourful
food or for Pamela’s caring nature!
Expect an explosion of flavors with deliciously crafted rice wraps and plenty of vegan options to satisfy every palate.
