Disrespectful and unprofessional – that's not how you treat guests We arrived with great anticipation, as the café advertises its vegan and gluten-free offerings – unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. Despite several free tables, we were completely ignored. The waitress clearly saw us sitting down, but we simply weren't served. When we finally asked for the menu after some time, another waitress reprimanded us in an unfriendly and condescending tone – we "didn't wait" to be seated. Such a tone, coupled with complete disinterest in the guest, is completely inappropriate in a restaurant. No one explained to us beforehand that we would have to wait to be assigned – and even if they had, that's not how you speak to people who come voluntarily to invest their time and money. It's perfectly fine to have clear procedures – but the tone of voice makes the difference. What we experienced was simply disrespectful, unprofessional, and off-putting. The concept may be good, but that alone isn't enough when you treat your customers like this. Definitely a no-go for us!!! We felt very unwelcome. We've never been treated like this in a restaurant before. Very disappointing!

A sobering experience despite the cozy atmosphere This is our third visit to "Pfeffermizje" – unfortunately, this visit was also characterized by poor service. Although the café was not very busy on a Friday morning, we had to wait a long time for a table because the waitress clearly had no overview of the available tables. From the time we arrived until we placed our order, it took about 45 minutes – an unreasonably long time, especially since the staff walked past us several times without acknowledging us. Meanwhile, the manager was sweeping the terrace right next to us – a strange sight that conveyed little professionalism. The food also took almost an hour to arrive. After breakfast, we ordered two hot drinks, but they also didn't arrive after a wait of about 35 minutes. We ended up paying at the bar because no one else came to our table. In total, we were in the café for almost four hours. The waitresses seemed stressed and seemed to have little training in using the cash register system or the general process. This seemed uncoordinated and unprofessional. One positive I would like to highlight is that the café offers gluten-free rolls – however, they are very small and cost extra. The atmosphere in the back outdoor area is pleasant and generally inviting. Conclusion: The concept has potential, but the service desperately needs improvement. Until this changes, I unfortunately cannot recommend the café.

It's freshly prepared and takes a little longer, so it's not a cheap fast food joint - but a Mediterranean restaurant with high standards to offer the best on your plate 😁 I like the hosts and think it's good that you're not served and treated in a standard way. I understand that some people feel overwhelmed, but that's definitely not what they intended - it's simply a different approach than usual 👌🏻 Spend €2-5 more and let yourself be pampered here and enjoy the experience of dining out on the market square in Bad Bergzabern while you still have the chance!!! If it's convenient, they also deliver for those who'd rather have a really great meal on the couch 😅🤤😉 Other languages ​​are also spoken on site for those who don't speak German 👍🏻 or for all Alsatians who enjoy being served in French ☺️ 🚩For those who care: 🚩 We now also offer alcohol, including beer and wine from a highly recommended local winery 🍻🍷, and for the others, I can only say that the restaurant is one of the few providers with such a great non-alcoholic alternative menu 🙌🏻 For me, this is a real plus point for the city center of Bad Bergzabern - so a plea to support such great restaurateurs who still care passionately about what they serve their guests on their plates 🤩

Service - full marks Appetizers - full marks Main courses - full marks Desserts - full marks Since my wife and son have to avoid gluten and the kitchen at the Ölmühle prepares all dishes gluten-free, we decided to try this restaurant. The food they conjured up for us was absolutely fantastic. Absolutely top-notch value for money! Take a seat, relax, and enjoy! Keep up the good work!

The food is simply delicious, a small but very cozy place. Lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Simple food, very suitable for sharing and incredibly tasty. The desserts are also incredible and to finish a quality coffee. We will be back!!

Very friendly welcome. The ambiance was lovely, the food was fantastic. It was our first time there and we'll definitely be back. Just for the gluten-free dishes, which my wife relies on. We've been to many places in Germany and were always looking for restaurants that serve gluten-free food, but we hadn't found a restaurant like this one that prepares almost everything gluten-free. The 33 km drive is definitely worth it. Everything was great.

We were visiting Ahrweiler and had dinner at La Perla on both evenings. Great ambience, super friendly staff and delicious food. But best of all, my husband was able to eat gluten-free there. A great compliment to La Perla.

Super nice restaurant next to a sports field with rustic charm. Great for outdoor dining, but inside it is very rustic. The food is amazing and amazingly they offer a gluten free schnitzel which is great and was initially why we went. We always like to come back in summer :)

Our group of girls had a really nice evening with delicious food and good wine in the beer garden. The service was very friendly and was able to advise us very well on the wine selection. Vegetarians, allergies and intolerances (such as celiac disease) were also taken into consideration. They could have sold a few more bottles of wine if they had come to the table more often, but the shop is always very busy. A reservation is recommended here! We will definitely come back, highly recommended. 😊

Very good food of really good quality! Delicious gluten-free pizza and guaranteed to be suitable for celiac patients (everything is prepared separately). The staff is friendly, personable and professional. They are also very child-friendly! We will now come here regularly. :)

They're knowledgeable about allergens and even offer gluten-free pizza. The ice cream is also gluten-free (except for cookies and other flavors). However, there's no direct labeling on the flavor labels. We managed to get a table spontaneously (without a reservation) and received attentive and friendly service.

The pizza here is so delicious that my Italian friends swear by it. You can order gluten-free noodles. The price is a little high. It's best to visit during off-peak hours or make a reservation in advance.

Very good restaurant and nothing is too much to ask. And what good service. And a plus for us. They have 2 gluten-free dishes on the menu, but if you ask they can also make other dishes gluten-free. And they have a separate chip shop where they bake (gluten-free) fries. So for us with a son who has celiac disease, a good experience. And the restaurant is next to the toboggan run. And a great view above Saarburg. (and next to the Landal park warsberg)we will definitely come back here!!!!

We (couple of 42 years old and 37 years old) were guests at the Hotel Heinz at short notice from Saturday to Monday over the Pentecost weekend! We became aware of the hotel years ago on the recommendation of friends and relatives. Now the time had come and we were allowed to be guests in the hotel, the first impression was a very good one. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff in the lobby. After a welcome champagne and coffee, we moved into our rooms. Room in the south wing, room 207, was very spacious and very nicely and newly furnished. But what you can expect in this price category! The wellness area is partly beautifully furnished and invites you to relax and feel good! Unfortunately, the older part of the area is in need of renovation here and there, with some defective fittings or unpleasant smells. The new earth sauna, the beach and the outdoor area are very well maintained and beautifully furnished. After a few conversations with the service staff, we were told that part of it is being rebuilt every year, so an outdoor pool is probably planned for next year. This is a nice idea and a sensible concept to create something new and therefore be able to offer it to guests. However, we, as guests, are also of the opinion that a little bit should be invested in the maintenance and renovation of the old part of the wellness and hotel area. The restaurant invites you to linger with a clear menu. Unfortunately we found that the main courses didn't live up to their price. A well-managed, varied wine list leaves nothing to be desired! However, the breakfast buffet deserves special mention. A wide selection of different rolls/bread as well as very tasty gluten-free baked goods, as well as a selection of sausages/cheese/fish. A fruit bar, various types of muesli, yoghurt and vegetables mean nothing stands in the way of a good start to the day! A big thumbs up for this! On the last evening we were once again guests in the hotel bar and were able to use our cocktail voucher. The bartender who was on duty this weekend gave us the impression of being very stressed the evening before. Nevertheless, we ordered more cocktails and espresso. The drinks menu is well stocked and offers a good selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails, gin and other drinks. Smaller meals are also offered there. A snack menu, which is offered from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., lets you quickly satisfy your midnight hunger with pizza baquette, olives and cheese or other little things. When we asked if we could order a portion of olives and cheese, the bartender said he would have to check whether the kitchen was still occupied. After a few minutes he came back to tell us that the kitchen was no longer occupied and we couldn't get anything! What a shame, we thought. Because it is explicitly advertised on the menu and is also in the room service. You can only say positive things about the other service staff, be it at reception, in the restaurant, in the wellness area or during massage treatments. Always attentive, friendly and accommodating! Overall, it was a nice stay, but unfortunately not everything corresponded to the price/performance ratio. There is still a little room for improvement on the part of the hotel owners. For the reasons described, it is unfortunately only enough for 3.5 - 4 stars. Kind regards from Taunus

We were there for lunch today and were completely thrilled! The food was fantastic – delicious, the grilled vegetables were crisp and perfectly prepared, and the meat was grilled to perfection. A special highlight: I even got gluten-free bread – unfortunately, that's not a given, but I was all the more pleased about it. Plus, a wonderful view of the Rhine and consistently friendly, attentive service.
