Had a lovely Sunday roast here with family! I’m gluten free and they were fully accommodating and I even got a gluten free Yorkshire pudding! Fantastic service and would definitely go again xx

The best Afternoon Tea in the South. I booked to visit for a Mothers Day afternoon tea however unfortunately my Mother fell unwell, I contacted Roy at The Bridge Tea Rooms and he arranged a take-away afternoon tea for us instead. We had 5 finger sandwiches each, a freshly baked scone, homemade jam, clotted cream, lemon drizzle cake, a brownie, a strawberry and cream tartlet and a hazelnut meringue - that was just for 1 person and all for £12.50...you couldn't make this much food at home for that. So impressed and my Mother loved it (once she was feeling better) Roy was also kind enough to arrange to cater to my gluten and dairy intolerances meaning I had my own free from alternatives. I'd rate this place 10 out of 10 if I could. Thank you Roy & the rest of the team!
Tucked away and perfect for narrow boat enthusiasts, this hidden gem impresses with its passion for high-quality, affordable treats and drinks.

Not sure if you would find this place unless you were hiring a narrow boat. Which is a shame because it deserves much more.
I don't think I've ever visited a cafe that tries, and succeeds so brilliantly to supply really tasty gluten free and dairy free foodstuff.
The owner is both knowledgable and passionate about providing high quality produce at affordable prices.
It was so refreshing to discover this place and enjoy their wide range of drinks, cakes and snacks.

Went there for some lunch and the food was lovely , service was lovely and the seating and atmosphere was great! definitely recommend and will be back! they have very nice gluten free and vegetarian options as well:)
The service was absolutely appalling . The waitress who served us was rude, arrogant and unhelpful, particularly with advice regarding gluten free options (my wife has celiac disease).
Within a couple of minutes of finishing the starter, the main course was served. There was a complete lack of respect for us, customer care and common sense, in the context of giving us some time to digest the starter and the chance to have a drink.
I should have realised from the beginning that this restaurant was not a good choice when I observed the cooks not wearing hair nets in the kitchen. That’s evidently poor hygiene practice.
It felt like: get them in, serve mediocre food, and get them out as quickly as possible.
Because of the shoddy service we refrained from having dessert and left. It was the first time having a meal in that restaurant. It will certainly be the last.
Avoid this restaurant. Absolutely appalling experience
Charming pub that offers personalized touches for events, making any celebration feel special and memorable.

Really friendly staff. We were that nightmare table with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free needs and someone who insisted on food on a plate, not a board - all dealt with wonderfully and with good humour. Fish and chips were the best I'd had in a long while. Limited options for the vegan and veggie as the Dandy had been so busy, but the burger that was available was deemed very good. The Dandy under new management deserves to do well.
Lovely place and a good location for an overnight stay. Right by the lock so plenty of interesting canal life to watch. Gluten free options were available but staff weren't fully trained so didn't understand gluten issues. I ordered a gluten free steak and chips and when it arrived I was suspicious that my meal had onion rings. Luckily I double checked and they took my meal away. Neither chips nor onion rings were gluten free. They did immediately cook them again for me. At breakfast they didn't have gluten free sausage but they did have toast.
I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.
