Always have trouble eating out as I'm gluten-free and dairy-fre e. But had a good choice of food to choose from. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable which helped. We're definitely recommend it to people similar as me.and we'll be going back again

Big thank you to the staff at Pizza Express Eastbourne for my daughters 8th birthday party today. She had a great time with her friends and the chef was fantastic with the children. They also kindly catered for two children with very specific dietary requirements which was very much appreciated. They were even able to make a base with everyone else so they didn’t feel left out and then swapped this out for a gluten free base with their own selection of toppings. The pizzas they all made were huge and they had a really generous amount of toppings to use. As well as that they had dough balls whilst waiting, ice cream at the end and they were all given boxes so they could take the rest of their pizza home. Thank you for great service and a great birthday experience.

We had a fantastic evening at Bistrot Pierre. The food was exceptional as was the service by our waitress Ells. This restaurant has impressive sea views and caters very well for gluten free / coeliacs.

We popped to Eastbourne as it was a chilly but sunny day and stopped here for a Coffee. I had a lovely Gingerbread Latte and a slice of Gluten Free Carrot Cake which was delicious. Staff lovely, very clean and generally a very nice place to have a coffee.

We had an amazing room. 2 doors that lead onto balconies with great views out to sea. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The bar area was lovely and served food. The drinks were reasonably priced. The breakfast was amazing. Loads of choice. They provided gluten-free bread for my daughter, as well as gluten-free cereals and oat and almond milk. I will definitely stay here again. The rooms were spotless.

My work trip was good. The hotel was quiet at this time of the year. A few daytime functions. I worked in Eastbourne 2 of the 3 days. 1 day spent at the hotel. Room was clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Mattress uncomfortable. Told staff tried to add a board under the mattress. Would have maybe expected a little more. Over all beautiful sea views. Room has coffee and a fridge. Desk and seating. Food catered for gluten-free and vegetarians.

By far the best pub in Eastbourne. The menu has a great variety of dishes including gluten free and vegan options. The food is incredible (especially the pies!). The staff are wonderful every time I visit and it’s a favourite when I have guests to stay. Today I had a Brie, Truffle and butternut squash tart and it was unbelievable!

Although I have given this place 5* for food that is only true if you consider ice cream a food. Service was excellent, was being served by a young lady almost as soon as my party stood at the ice cream counter. She was attentive and patient as there was 5 if us, my great nephew being gluten intolerant, and was great that they had a full list on the wall showing what ice creams he could have. They had quite a few!!!! The flavours were many and varied, although a bit short on any sorbet ice cream. The lady took her time, making sure she rinsed her serving tool between scoops. As for the atmosphere, the place was pretty full, inside and out as it was a hot sunny day. All in all, a great place to go for food and especially for ice cream. If I have any negative about this place it would be lack of parking places, but then it's Eastbourne seafront and very very popular.

Had a cream tea here for a friend's hen do. Cannot recommend more if this is the kind of event you're looking for. They were so friendly and helpful even with the decorations. The price is really reasonable, especially compared with hotels etc in the area and here we got to have the place to ourselves. The food was delicious and a good sized portion with a savoury and sweet scone, three different open sandwiches (appetiser sized), a pastry, a brownie and a macaron each. They were happy to cater for all dietary requirements inc vegan and gluten free without compromising on the choice or flavour for them. Do expect wine bar drinks prices though. They do offer a bottomless 2hr prosecco cream tea which is worth it if you plan to drink a lot. Overall,I highly recommend.

I had the lemon bass fillets off the specials menu. It was divine. Glad to see there were gluten free options too. Would deffo eat here again if we came back to the area. There were 3 of us dining. 2 drinks each. £90

Firstly, I have got to apologise... I was expecting standard 'pub grub' but I was wrong. Absolutely amazing. My wife is gluten free and we noticed that there was gluten free options so she opted for the gluten free fish and chips and I had the ploughman's. The fish and chips did appear pale compared to normal fish and chips but don't be decived, my wife stated it was the best she had tasted...... Thank you... The service and staff added to the experience. It is definately on our return list.

No Rice pudding, only chocolate fudge cake which is the only gluten free. I am a Coeliac, we both had a bad tummy after.

Went here for dinner on recommendation from my hotel. I called before to ask if the had any gluten free meals and was so happy to hear they could do any pizza, pasta dish as GF and they had other options too. I asked if the pizza base was commercial (AKA disappointing and small!) but they said their GF pizza bases are homemade too! Arrived to quite a quiet restaurant (worst storm of 2024 yet in March), but with a table already set and waiting 🙂 Started with mozzarella, tomatoes and rocket. Huge ball of creamy mozzarella, flavoursome tomatoes and lovely fresh, mild rocket. Served with really good quality EVOO and balsamic vinegar. Ordered the 5 cheese pizza as my main. The GF base was absolutely banging, couldn’t distinguish it from a glutinous base at all. Just the right balance of cheeses, not dripping with grease like a Domino’s. I ordered a house red, but they had run out, so they kindly gave me a more expensive wine for the same price, which was kind of them. Could not fault the friendliness or service. Attentive without being intrusive. I haven’t been so excited about food for a really long time. Eastbourne is a two hour drive from me, but I would happily go back to eat here again, probably for my next birthday. I expect this place is rammed in summer so would recommend booking!

Popped in for lunch at the Mirabelle All courses were delicious and well presented. The restaurant staff were great, attentive, knowledgeable, friendly without being intrusive. They were aware from my booking that I was gluten intolerant and it was nice not to have to remind them constantly like I have had to do in other places. Will definitely be back with others to enjoy

Went here for a bit of breakfast. We were welcomed with friendly staff. The food was delicious, clean facilities and lots of choice of food and drink on the menu at reasonable prices. They have gluten-free options, too! Will definitely be visiting again.

I had some delicious tapas here today! Our group had a wide variety of tapas and paella and everything was lovely. The staff were friendly and the chef came and spoke to me to make sure they dealt with my allergies correctly. The vegan and gluten free food they made for me was wonderful! The portions were generous too. We will definitely be back and would thoroughly recommend it.

Came here on the second day of opening, for breakfast, and were truly looked after. Staff all very attentive and polite, the resturant was light and airy and the tables and chairs all very comfortable, sturdy and fit perfectly with the aesthetics. Food and drink is a fair price but the quality superb, even the gluten free options were tastier than most GF alternatives. Tried a number of breakfast spots in Eastbourne but we have now found our favourite spot. Thank you Light at Towner for a wonderful breakfast brunch.
