This is simply the best gluten free fish and chips I have had.
The gluten free curry sauce is outstanding, smooth and spot on.
They also prepare in-house tartare sauce which tastes as it should, albeit the portions are small.
Don't forget to order the pineapple fritters. For fish and chips I don't go anywhere else, and I drive quite a few miles to Scarborough.
Keep this good quality up please.
An upstairs gem in Scarborough with a clean, relaxed vibe, offering top-notch fish and chips that keep locals and tourists coming back for more.

When we arrived for our booking we had high expectations as I'm Coeliac and the manager was very informative and provided me with all the relevant information. We placed our order which again we had high hopes. The starters came, mine was OK and all eaten, my husband had prawns which came in a skillet with bread. He couldn't eat the bread as it burnt and stuck to the bottom of the skillet. When our mains came out they were cold we both had sea food pasta dishes and the seafood was even cold. These were sent back and one of the young waiters said I will get them reheated, we replied with don't reheat them. The manager came with 2 more dishes and reassured me that they were freshly cooked, I had mine, my husband however didn't as it put him off so just had garlic bread. We did inform the manager of this which she replied with "I have taken these off your bill and I am really sorry". I did inform her it wasn't her fault, but the kitchens at fault. I couldn't eat all mine as it was dry and bland. We will not be returning.
Charming spot with a cool atmosphere, offering a delightful range of options and delicious dishes that cater to various dietary needs.

First time here since they moved from their old cramped premises. Same quality and experience. I don't eat wheat and they have gluten free options so it's a rare treat for me to be able to have a proper meal out.

Great options for gluten free. Tends to get busy on evenings, and when there is a concert on at the Open air theatre, so pre booking is advised! Blue light card is accepted here too !

Absolutely brilliant place - the service is excellent and the food was really good. They are super switched on around allergens etc. and the Gluten Free burger was one of the best we'd had, even had GF beers to wash it down with. Would highly recommend.
Experience attentive service and generous portions in a welcoming atmosphere that elevates your dining experience beyond typical Turkish spots.

Lovely staff, lady we.think her name was Morgan, very friendly polite and professional, all other staff also attentive. Very good with vegan and gluten-free options as in Scarborough it's difficult to find, but at Askims they were thorough and careful with my dietary requirements. We would definitely recommend 👌

Unfortunately, this was a total disaster. Not to be repeated. Although the few staff did their best, it was very short of staff and the gluten free options, even having checked in advance that they were available were extremely poor. Cold over cooked and they obviously did not understand.the requirements.
Poor communication throughout. However, 1 lady on the staff tried her best to salvage the situation. Praise due to her.
A hidden gem with a spacious layout featuring cozy nooks, outdoor seating, and a diverse drink selection that makes a great stop for everyone.

We found this pub by searching for gluten free eateries before visiting Scarborough & we were not disappointed. The menu has a large selection of gluten free options. My husband enjoyed the vegan chilli & rice.
I'm also dairy intolerant and as soon as I said this the waitress went and got the allergen listing so we could ensure I picked something that was suitable - I had the scampi. The rest of our party had a burger & giant Yorkshire pudding with pork. Everything was a decent size and good tasting. The chilli was nice & spicy.
Great selection of drinks including non alcoholic alternatives. They made our daughter a yummy decaf caramel latte.
We sat indoors, the place is like a TARDIS, from the front it looks tiny with a large outdoor seating area facing the South bay but once inside it goes back a fair way and there is a variety of seating available for varying sized groups. We sat in a bay. Toilets were up th stairs to the rear of the building.
We'd definitely visit here again.

The hotel is a little bit dark. It is comfortable, nice lounge and conservatory with tv.
Meals are good decent value. I am gluten free and staff were helpful bringing the toast separately and cornflakes. Could have done with some additional fruit on buffet.
With stunning surroundings and a menu full of hidden gems, this spot offers a delightful breakfast experience that exceeds expectations.

Wow!
This little gem punches way beyond its weight!
Andre the Italian owner - chef, provides the customers with typical Italian cuisine.
No delusions of grandeur here, just provision of the authentic delicious real genuine Italian food.
The sit-down cosy restaurant is an intimate setting for that celebratory evening, and the table service is second to none, just right.
Feel the Italian ambience, Italians really are good with food.!
This little restaurant is relatively new, it’s definitely a little gem and it is fast becoming a go -to stop for the genuine discerning foodie.
No airs & graces, no frills, the focus of course is on the provision of genuine quality Italian food.
We love it.!
It’s also a great place for take-away Pizza, excellent Italian quality of course.
Dante is a most welcome addition to Scarborough’s eateries, it’s one of the only Italian owned & managed truly Italian food establishments.
No fake or Anglicised Italian cuisine here.
Quality matters.!
Booking is advisable to guarantee your table.
Gluten free is catered for, and as always, with pleasure.

Stayed here on 3rd June excellent hotel and staff all friendly and can’t do enough to help. Room was spotless and the comfiest bed and pillows. Superb gluten free breakfast which the staff were very clued up on. Will definitely return. X
One of the best places to eat in Scarborough. Really authentic tapas. Extremely tasty and really big jugs of cocktails and reasonable prices. Staff really friendly and a lot of the menu is gluten free!
Excellent value hotel very well situated. Front rooms can be noisy if you like the windows open. Staff friendly and efficient. Room more than adequate. Breakfast absolutely superb and great for gluten free!
