We absolutely love Mellow! Never a bad experience and the food is always top notch! I have celiac and it’s one of the few places where I can eat safely and actually enjoy the food too! Their gluten free pizza is the best I’ve had at any restaurant

First night in town from out of state. We placed our order at 7:02. Our pick up time showed 8:07. When we got there to pick up they told us 35 more minutes. We finally got our food at 8:50. Even then, they had to modify our order or told us to wait 7 more minutes for another part of the order to be done. As far as the food goes… the pizza was good. They had a gluten free option and that was good as well. We also ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo and we were given chicken and noodles? I’m not sure if that’s just there fettuccine or if this was a mistake. My problem is not with waiting. My problem is not being given any kind of an accurate time and then doing nothing to make the situation right or compensate. I’ve seen the restaurant respond on here and say sorry for the same issue from other reviewer. I think it’s time to do better.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Gulf restaurant and it was a truly enjoyable experience! The vibe was incredible, creating an inviting space for a laid-back outing. A major highlight is their policy of welcoming dogs, allowing pet owners to bring their beloved companions. I was particularly impressed by their gluten-free options, which were both varied and well-thought-out. El barrio is one of Birminghams restaurants. You can expect to wait on friday and saturday evenings due to the high demand for delicious food at a reasonable price. The servers work harmoniously during busy times and have a streamlined process so that you have the best dining experience. They are gracious about accommodating dietary needs and restrictions which is so welcome due to the Birmingham food scene largely lacking that. The only things that could make them better is gluten free churros on the menu. Try the queso!

I’m from New York and on the way to the airport, I wanted to find a nice brunch spot somewhere near. I saw the reviews and pictures of this place and thought it would be a great place to try. The moment I come in, I already love the vibe of this place. Not only that but our server was very nice and friendly. We got the Farm Breakfast, Smash Burger, and the Royale Sandwich as our mains, along with the gluten-free blueberry muffin. And let me tell you they were absolutely delicious!! We also ordered a Matcha Latte with oat milk and the Golden Monkey Latte, and the drinks were phenomenal. They were so concentrated and the flavours were so rich, it made me love Matcha. Overall as a person who just was looking for something light to eat on the way back home, this was amazing! Anyone near this area must try this place out! I definitely recommend getting the dishes we got but if you wanna try something else I’m probably sure it won’t disappoint. If I am ever back in town I will definitely be coming back!

A hidden gem for anyone with dietary restrictions! As someone who’s gluten-free and vegan, it’s so hard to find places that truly accommodate my needs especially while traveling. This spot was a lifesaver. They offer gluten-free sourdough (which is rare and so good), tons of smoothie options, and the kindest staff. I have a pretty complicated coffee order (self-proclaimed coffee snob), and they nailed it perfectly every single day. I came here every day of my 5-day trip it’s that good.

They do not have a gluten-free menu, but they are knowledgeable about gluten and cross-contamination and are able to adapt many items on their menu to suit. I had the shrimp & grits and it was phenomenal. My partner went with the pork chops and thought they were perfect. Our server was pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. Service was prompt. The atmosphere was a little bare bones/stark/cold, but it was fine.

BOOK A RESERVATION! Seriously, if you don't book a reservation, you may not be seated because this place gets packed. The truffle fries are ridiculously good with their custom-made condiments, a curry ketchup and basil mayo. This is also the only place in know of in all of Northern Alabama that is serving a Hangar Steak. If you aren't familiar with this cut of meat, that is because it isn't usually sold by butchers because they keep it for themselves. Do not ask for it to be overcooked, medium or more, it will become chewy. Gluten free friendly. A family member is severely allergic and has never had an issue here and we've been multiple times.

Best pizza in the wiregrass I would argue, especially considering their gluten free crust is one of the best I've ever had. Plus being able to get it with any of their pizzas is amazing. Service has been fantastic every time, even filling out odd requests if a pizza not made to your liking. Atmosphere I give 3, mainly because it's pretty loud, especially during busy hours with the music blaring. I get it though, that's the vibe.

This isn’t entirely The Hound’s fault but, I informed the waiter that I have a gluten intolerance and I ordered a burger on gluten free bread with tater tots. She didn’t inform me that the tater tots weren’t gluten free, I was sick for the next two days because of this. They were good but, I feel like she should’ve let me know that.

Thankful that they offer dietary options, although the staff could be better trained. Was told I could have the Brussel sprouts (coated in soy sauce - "because it was soy based" - I have celiac disease). After spending $32 for 10" rectangular pizza (3 toppings) that was so-so, I'm not keen on returning.

I had a fantastic experience at Big Potato Company! As someone who needs to eat gluten-free, I was so impressed by how knowledgeable and accommodating the staff were. They took the time to walk me through the menu, answered all my questions about ingredients, and made sure my meal was safe and delicious. I do takeout just about every week! They will bring it out to your car as well. Salad sampler and garlic chicken along with local kombucha is my favorite!!!!! All gluten free if you get rice as your option with the chicken. Just do it!

Love Wasabi Juans! My husband loves Mexican and I love sushi, so it's a perfect combination. The staff here are great. I have celiac disease and they are very accommodating with the gluten free options and very mindful. Definitely a must to visit Wasabi Juans!

My wife and I must eat gluten-free. We heard from someone that Red Robin had gluten-free buns, so we went by to see. Not only do they have GF burgers but also a host of other dishes. Destiny was our server, and she was great. She was very knowledgeable about the GF items. I had a Monster Burger, and Barbara had a RR Cheese Burger. We both had fries. All was well cooked and fresh. We will return to try some more GF dishes.

We simply asked Google's Gemini for a place in Mobile that has good gluten-free options. We drove up from Orange Beach for the day because it was Misty and overcast. This is a quaint little restaurant in downtown Mobile that has good gluten-free choices and really good service. They don't have a specific gluten-free menu but they know how to make accommodations. The best gluten-free hamburger bun we've ever eaten in 15 years of being gluten free.

If you love BBQ, you gotta love Moes! The ladies working there were terrific, and the food was wonderful. The sweet tea was spot on and the help with my wife's gluten intolerance was quite helpful. The music and entire atmosphere were fantastic.

I travel for work frequently and one advantage is having my wife with me on my business trips. With her gluten allergy it can be difficult but we have found ways around this. When we find a place that can make virtually anything gluten free, some of her favorite items that she can't have other places, she was able to find here - I call this a success. The food is delicious and the service was fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen anyone tear up over being able to have a spring roll. We will be back as many times as we can.

I have newly been diagnosed with Celiac and had low expectations that I could successfully find gluten-free items I could safely eat. I was in Mobile, hungry, and the restaurant appealed to me, so I gave it a chance. Moe's has a special allergy menu informing customers which items on the menu are egg free and which are dairy free and which are gluten-free. I had a lovely meal and suffered no consequences from eating in the restaurant. That is a win in my book.

Fine to eat in, great as takeout/leftovers. I have to eat gluten free, and they were happy to make me an enormous burrito bowl that was an excellent dinner, plus worked as leftovers in my hotel for the next couple days. They even included a giant bag of chips for me to take home!

This place is a MUST visit! The staff is always on top of everything, and the freshly cooked food will bring you back again and again! The burgers are second to no one with an excellent burger sauce to make it one of the best burgers around, period! Music and atmosphere are icing on the cake as well. First let me say, Sarah C. was one of the best servers I have ever had in Mobile, Alabama. She was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! As someone with Severe Celiac, I don't often feel safe eating out, but she reassured me and made sure my food was cooked properly and I did not get sick!! (which is a HUGE win for me!) Sarah was incredibly personable and treated me with kindness and respect. In future visits, I will be asking to sit in her section because she took such great care of me. It was so reassuring to know that she has people in her life with celiac, which just boosted my confidence in her abilities and knowledge!
