We had an amazing experience on Wed, 3/19/25, with server Max. It did take a bit of time to get items, like the table side guacamole. Our cart sat while he attended other tables before he made our guac. I asked if the tortilla chips were fried in a seperate or shared fryer. He immediately asked "do you have Celiac?". I do & he made sure everything was safe for me. I really appreciated that, I never felt like I was a bother because of my Celiac. The food & drinks were delicious, though on the pricier side. Max was very personable, he made the experience so great.

My fiancé and I were visiting San Antonio in April for the eclipse and had dinner at Fogo de Chao for the first time. Staff were wonderful and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The servers treated all of the tables as their own. A special thank you to the manager who was kind enough to bring me the allergen list and go through item by item with me as I have celiac disease. Avoiding gluten while eating out can be daunting but she made me feel confident and safe. The food was delicious, the salad bar had multiple options and there was never a shortage of meat coming to the table. We felt very special at the end when we were surprised with a crème brûlée. We would 10/10 recommend and hope to go back someday.

Worth the wait! I did the “build your own pasta” with the gluten free pasta & parmesan cheese sauce, which was delicious - being able to mix & match their pasta options to all be GF was great. Husband got the chicken parm & absolutely loved it too. Portion sizes were very generous! We chose 4/5 as for an Italian restaurant, we were hoping for a bread appetizer that most restaurants offer, but we didn’t have that. And we do agree with the other reviewers that it is a little slow, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. Staff were all very kind & personable!

I came in from out of town on a business trip and naturally, had to check out riverwalk & grab a bite to eat on the water ! Here's the catch- I have severeeeeee celiac disease. Like, cross contamination sensitive. It makes finding safe eateries while traveling a...challenge to say the least. That being said, I found Paesano's via a Google search and saw immediately they had a huge gluten free menu...I called and spoke to the staff before I decided to catch an Uber there..and they made me feel so safe. Understood the allergen protocol. I get to the restaurant and I'm seated immediately- during peak dinner hours. I get a cozy little spot right on the riverwalk, perfect for people watching as I dine solo. My server, Rudy** was such a pleasure - kind , attentive and understood the assignment right away when i explained my allergen needs. He assured me multiple times before food was dropped that he spoke to Chef Raul** and told me their cross contamination precautions. Wow did I feel safe. It means so much to us allergy folks when places just GET IT. And they GET IT . Lovely vibes, personable and friendly service even during peak dinner ! For a solo dining guest ! I am happy to report I have a safe spot to visit next time I'm here in SAT.

Food was good and hot. Had the gluten free bun on a burger and it was excellent. Top.shelf margarita was okay but deemed to lack alcohol. They have a dedicated fryer for gluten free fries. Sweet potato fries were good.

We got a table on short notice and were given a wam greeting a seated immediately. My wife must be gluten free and our waiter was extremely well versed in what the kitchen could and could not do for her. We split a rack of lamb and it was cooked perfectly. I had an order of cornbread that was delicious. For dessert the chef prepared a gluten free Grand Marnier Vanilla Soufflé that my wife said was the absolute best dessert she has had in 30 years!!

Wonderful experience! Food was great and even offered some Gluten Free options. They really are a hidden gem. (They are on the Riverwalk, but hidden). Manager Fazia and Server Filiberto were wonderful and made the experience even better!

I had the best lamb here! It was juicy and had a great taste. I also got the grits with jalapeño cheese and that was sooo good. They have good gluten free options for my partner who has celiacs. They had really great drinks too! I love the environment here. The chef was also walking around talking to people which was really nice. Overall an amazing experience.

Love this place! I have celiac disease and it was hard to find a good place on the river walk with gluten free options, lone star had a gluten free bun so i got a delicious cheeseburger, staff were very well informed about allergies. Penny was a great waitress :-)

Superb! The service team is super friendly and kind. Kat (the service team member who helped us) helped us find what to order. She was familiar with the menu items and helped me identify whether there were any foods I’m allergic to in what I wanted to order. And she told us there is gluten free bread!! It was super delicious!! Also, their homemade rootbeer is incredible. ☺️

What a unique spot!! The smells and beautiful pastries that greet you when you open the door are such a treat!! Unfortunately- no gf options and cross contamination would be an issue. But everyone who can eat gluten said their pastries were the best! Coffee was super good.

My husband and I ate here for our 15 yr anniversary. We both had steak. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Juicy and delicious. We both had the red potatoes and veggies. Everything was great. My husband had the ice cream dessert and I had the key lime. Both were mouth watering. I have a gluten sensitivity and the waitress was very helpful with those modifications. I drank a prickly pear margarita and it was delicious. 100% recommend!

A quick stop for quality, traditional Mexican food. The flavors and service are always solid. Gluten Free options, but if you have Celiac cross-contact concerns, take all usual care & precautions. I've not had a reaction.

Wonderful dinner at Ostra on the Riverwalk. Great location with wonderful and attentive staff, Jorge was a great server- 5 stars from me! I had the mahi mahi, delish! Gluten free options suited my needs as well as other good vegetarian/DF/GF options.

Was such a delicious option for lunch. I had gluten free gumbo with fish and my daughter had cheesy noodles with chicken. It tasted amazing and the wonderful ladies who helped us, Drea and Zion, were so fun and hospitable! Highly recommend.

I went in for breakfast and decided to have the buffet where both of my children were free (only if you order buffet). I have Celiac Disease so I can't have gluten. The server, Daniel was very accommodating and he went to ask the chef if he didn't know if something had gluten in it. My boys enjoyed the food. Will be going back in tomorrow.

A restaurant that I recommend to go with children. The atmosphere-design is great. You are in a jungle with scenery and moving gorillas or elephants....The service and treatment of the staff was very good. They have gluten-free children's menus.
