This is the best sushi in Ballard. Shiku next door is more affordable but the menu at Moshi Moshi is very well developed and has things I don't see often, like omurice.
They also have a designated gluten-free menu, cool atmosphere, and great service. It is a little pricy though, and I don't visit as often as I would like because of that.
Indulgent treats and a chill vibe create an awesome spot for dessert lovers, perfect for kicking back with friends over creative sweets.

I should have known that gluten free cakes was a bad idea. I didn't like the quality of the "hot cake" that much. It was bitter and not very hot actually. Getting the cake in a paper cup was unpleasant. A little pricy for this quality.
The presentation was nice other than the paper cup.

Really great cocktails and food. Good selection for dairy and gluten free plates as well. The menu indicates which items are gluten free, which is great! The cocktails are pricey but worth it, and the wine list is also very good.
A cozy gem in Ballard with a diverse menu and tasty dishes, but be ready to hunt for parking.

Really great dining spot in Ballard. Everything was so delicious! We had the potato wedges, charred broccoli with an amazing tahini sauce, mussels, pasta, and steak. Although not explicitly stated on the menu, they have gluten free options/accommodations as well!
Parking was expectedly a bit tough in the area.
Perfect for sharing plates, this spot shines with its diverse options and knowledgeable team, making it a go-to for food lovers!

This is an excellent place for tapas that has some gluten free, vegetarian, and soy free options. The staff is very knowledgeable about their ingredients.
Chill spot on 15th, perfect for gatherings or dates; reservations recommended as it fills up fast, especially during local events.

Lovely restaurant on 15th street near 60th. Largely undiscovered place to meet after work with group of friends or a date. If you arrive early with 2 to 4 guests you should be fine to get a table but otherwise make a reservation as this restaurant does fill up especially in nice weather as people are walking by for local events here.
Menu has some vegetarian and gluten free options for guests as well.
My family each has their personal 5 star dishes on the menu but I really think that's a preference and a good reason to go back and try more.
Kind of makes me sad to do this. This lil Woody's has been my jam since we moved to Ballard. Every Wednesday I come here during my lunch break to get a nice little treat for myself. Since I'm gluten free it has been awesome having a good burger I can eat so easily available to me, that was until today. I came in today and got my favorite burger, the Trotter on a gluten free bun, and was very stoked. The heat has been kicking my butt so I was thrilled to just take thirty minutes to myself and enjoy one of my comfort foods. Sadly those hopes were dashed the second my food came to me. Not only was I given a normal bun, but also my burger had no burger. Instead it was just a soggy mess of toppings void a pattie, served in a bun that would cause me to recreate the scene from the exorcist in the lobby of this restaurant. So I go up to the front and tell the dude behind the counter that my burger has no burger and I'm pretty sure the bun is wrong. He apologized, honestly he was good and tried his best the fault was in the kitchen, and told me he'd get it fixed asap. Minutes later, not a good sign honestly, a burger is brought back to me. This burger is on a gluten free bun and does have a burger on it, but the bun is soaking wet and it's obvious from the messy state of the burger that they just scraped all the toppings off the first burger and chucked them on this one. If it was a gluten free bun I'd get it, but your kitchen should know if some one is ordering that they can't just cross contaminate like that. I didn't have time to argue the point so I tossed my burger and went back to work. It just breaks my heart that I can't trust this place any more. Don't eat here if you have any dietary restrictions, this place could care less about people like us.

Excellent vegetables, meat and fish cooked in their applewood fueled brick oven and hearth. Pictured: grilled heritage pork, roasted carrot, snap peas, carrot pickle. It would be good if they had gluten free crackers or gluten free bread.
