A true Charlotte institution. It never gets old and the atmosphere is dreamy. The burgers are elevated. There are lots of fresh foods to choose from and they also have a variety of vegan and gluten free options. Maybe the best restaurant in Charlotte!

They have a variety of options that are extremely safe for those that have celiac disease. A majority of items are already gluten free or can be made gluten free! The fryers are 100% gluten free along with a spare pizza oven. Any of the pizzas can be made gluten free. It is prepared on cauliflower crust! All pastas can be made gluten free and are prepared in separate boiler to maintain no cross-contamination. I was there for a girls night, so we just ordered small dishes to share. I’d love to try the pasta and pizza. The restaurant in itself is extremely nice.

The food here is very good for airport food. There were burgers, sandwiches and other foods. Gluten free bread offered but they do share toaster with other breads. All food cooked on the same cook top as well so cross contamination is all but guaranteed. Not great for those sensitive celiacs.

Legion Brewing South Park location has a whole gluten free menu. The southwest salad and bbq sandwich are my favorites for lunch + dinner. They make an amazing monte cristo & always have a lot of local ingredients. We bring all guests who come in town here because of the variety of options and knowledgeable staff.

I was told that a bread was gluten free that they used on a burger, that it was from a bakery in town. I looked up the bakery and found that they are not really gluten free. Then when I asked further, found out it's sourdough with gluten free starter (I had already had the sandwich with what I thought was gluten free bread). I was told by the manager that if I have celiac I shouldn't eat it but if I'm sensitive to gluten it's ok. That doesn't make sense if indeed there is white flour in the bread. I am sensitive to gluten and have to go to the emergency room if I eat gluten. If the item is not gluten free, please don't tell people it's gluten free. By definition gluten free is wheat (including all purpose), rye and barley. They could not tell me what the ingredients are in the bread. Please see the following I got off the internet about "gluten starter": "While the natural bacteria may make it easier to digest, it doesn't render it gluten-free. If you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, be sure that you use gluten-free flour for the starter and gluten-free ingredients for all of the baked goods you plan to use your gluten-free sourdough starter in." I took an gluten free enzyme pill when I got home. Hope it works. It didn't work. I am sensitive to gluten and got very sick. Had to be in the emergency room. BEWARE GLUTEN SENSITIVE OR CELIAC, THEY ARE CLAIMING A BREAD IS GLUTEN FREE AND IT IS NOT. THE MANAGER WOULDN"T EVEN LISTEN TO ME

This location refuses to serve people with Celiac’s disease. They decline to make a sandwich with gluten-free bread for people with gluten allergies, despite having the bread. By the way- Celiacs is covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Highly recommend this place! Susan, the Restaurant Manager, makes this hopping lunch-time favorite place, here in bustling Charlotte, feel like you are stopping in to your small hometown dive. She has lots of regulars and knows them all by name. She always goes out of her way to make myself and everyone feel like a vip. Big fan of Chicken Salad Chick- but most especially, of this location! I usually get the Jalepeno Holly, but each time I try something new, I think it is my new favorite. Since I need to do gluten free I usually get my chicken salad on lettuce with chips and a pickle. Fun place to meet up with friends and co-workers for lunch.

Best lunch/brunch in the area! The grilled chicken & halloumi was fabulous. Lots of gluten free options to boot. Sarah sat us quickly in exactly the table we wanted. Coco was a wonderfully helpful and friendly server. We will definitely be back!

This is hands down my favorite gluten-free restaurant in Charlotte. The globe trotter wrap is my favorite. They do not have bread but the wraps are delicious. They even let me do the smash burger on a wrap and it was amazing. They also have byo margs & espresso martinis. BEST espresso martini I’ve ever had in my life!

D and Darryl really are the type of employees needed at this location. They have great attitudes and they made my visit the best ever!! My sandwiches were made to perfection. We discussed how to keep my son from eating my sandwiches while they were in the refrigerator. The tuna on gluten free bread idea worked like a charm. He didn't even think to touch them. I will definitely be back.

It's a tight ship at this location hi. Today I had an issue where my gluten-free sandwich was taking a little long, however after I got it I found that they did something with the gluten free bread that made it crispier ban the gluten-free bread had been in the past I am impressed

Who would go to a Firehouse for a sub?? But even more, for a Gluten Free sub?? Well, you should!! They have the best Gluten Free bread hands down and if you order the Smokehouse Brisket you will be in heaven:-). Honestly, this is one of those best kept secret stories. Wow. Just WOW!

Friendly staff, super fast every time, moderately busy (weekday around noon). I always get their gluten free GF option of any sandwich on lettuce = “the un-wich”. I always get the beach club unwich with salt/vinegar chips 🤤.

May have been the rudest customer service experience I've ever had. I have a gluten allergy and the guy making my sandwhich was being extremely rude the whole time and literally did not care that I had a gluten allergy. The atmosphere in there was extremely tense. I think, the "manager" on duty(?), had his shirt unbuttoned halfway down. They were all very off towards me, and were busy talking about how they were going to be trading food with another store. The service is whatever, but I'm writing this review because of my allergy. He even asked if it was a preference or allergy, and I said allergy, and he carried on making it with no glove change, didn't clean the boards, literally didn't do anything differently. I can literally become physically sick from gluten. I wish that this matter had been taken more seriously.

Mega kiddos to the staff and manager on duty today for lunch at the Berewick Town Center location. I was recently diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes which significantly restricts my diet. The MOD printed a nutrition menu for me, personally double checked the gluten free bread (white bread spikes blood sugar) and was super patient and kind with me while I searched for a suitable option. Managing this diet isn’t for the latest fad or even in hopes of losing some weight, it’s a necessity to keep me and my growing baby safe in our last few weeks of pregnancy. I can’t say enough how grateful I am for restaurants that take on the complexity of having a menu that fits everyone’s needs and for people like this manager who are so very kind to people like me struggling to find delicious ways to eat well. Thank you!!

We came before the lunch hour rush. They had plenty of staff members working and yet you could tell that they were all young and new. The person working on the prep station for the toppings was very slow and kept having to double check everything. The manager was extremely friendly and kept working around to help each person. We ordered some hot sandwiches and they took over 15 mins to make…maybe even 20. That felt unusual. The food came out good and I was thoroughly happy that they had gluten free bread as an option. We would come back and trust that as the staff member gets more experience, the service speeds up

One of the best subs around. One in our group had a legit gluten allergy. The staff didn't hesitate to wipe down the slicer, change gloves twice, and make one sub on gluten free bread at a totally separate station. Awesome service.

They have gluten-free bread as an option and their sandwiches are so good! It is walk up counter service, no seating. The line can get really long and it gets crowded since it's such a small place

My fiance, daughter, and I had a great experience here tonight. Everyone was working very hard, and the entire staff was friendly! My daughter has a gluten intolerance, and even she got to enjoy a gluten free ham and cheese sub! We will definitely be back!
