Located in a ferry terminal, this gem serves incredible seafood with unique offerings like warm lobster rolls and highly praised onion rings.

It really breaks my heart to be leaving this 1 star review. Evans is usually incredible, with the best fish and chips in town. HOWEVER, last time we ordered from them the fish had gone bad. We called to let them know, and the person on the phone assured us that he had taken down our information and that our next order of the same dishes would be free. Today when we placed our order, we were told that they had no record of that conversation, and that at most they could comp us one of the dishes. We pushed back, saying that it's not our fault that their co-worker didn't properly note our information (and they also noted that they'd just changed their system over, so it might have gotten lost in the shuffle). In the end, we were left to pay for bad fish last month with no compensation from the restaurant.
We're all for supporting a great local business, so this situation sucks. We order from Evan's every month and have easily spent thousands there over the past five years. It's a shame to have to find another gluten free fish and chips place now.
A short drive from Peggy's Cove, this spot promises amazing, diverse meals in a cozy setting, enhanced by local art and an inviting atmosphere.

Was so happy we found this place. As soon as we entered and told the hostess I was interested in ordering gluten free it was the best experience. She advised that some of the staff were either gluten intolerant or Celiac and they had a thorough understanding about cross contamination etc. We ordered fish and chips and they were amazing!!! .Having Celiac Disease I usually have a heightened sense of anxiety when eating out so when I find a place that makes you feel comfortable it kind of makes me feel a little emotional. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all but especially those with issues related to gluten.
Renovated with a stunning patio and solarium, this spot offers a vibrant atmosphere and delicious diverse options that keep everyone coming back!

We stopped in specifically for the ceviche, which was listed on the website, but unfortunately the in-restaurant menu had been changed to a new season before our visit. Despite this intial disappointment, everything we tried was delicious. There are several gluten free options, however they were not marked on the menu.
The service was a bit disappointing though. Only one waiter was serving the entire restaurant so naturally, we had quite a long wait.

Beautiful location, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Huge beverage menu!!
As celiac, it's challenging to find some safe eats away from home. I ordered the gf option Lobster Roll & fries and oh my lord.... fantastic đ

They seem to prefer reservations but we were seated immediately as the season has ended. View from the back was stunning and the sunset we saw happens to be one of the best I've ever seen in my life. The food was excellent and our waitress was excellent in helping accommodate A gluten intolerance, shellfish allergy, and peanut allergy. Would recommend dinner here, with a reservation, around sunset! Restrooms clean and menu had reasonable variety.
Expect massive portion sizes at this not-to-missed spot, offering a superb experience with impeccable offerings despite the slow service.

The service was great (friendly and efficient) and the food was above average. They offer gluten free substitutions for limited items (bread, pasta, tortilla) for a charge, but have limited options for dairy free diet restrictions.
Best supper in all of Nova Scotia. Can't wait to come back again this year. Loved the endless mussels and endless chowder. Almost everything was gluten-free, which I loved â¤ď¸đ.
Chill vibes on a stunning harbor patio with great service, plus a unique menu that caters to various tastesâdefinitely worth a visit!

Amazing restaurant. They have a really nice patio on the harbour and excellent service. A gluten free menu was offered which is amazing. Food prices were as expected and decent. Definitely recommend.
Really good lobster roll, recommend the half and half. Market price at the time was $29 per roll, no markup for a gluten free roll. Recommend the half and half!
We were visiting from Toronto, and heard so much about the place. And the food was AMAZING! The staff, Tammy and everyone else were super friendly. I highly recommend anyone who visits Halifax should eat here. All I can say is that they should start to have gluten free battered options.
