Great restaurant for those with gluten and lactose intolerance! What a joy to eat pastry chefs' cakes. Special mention for the carrot cake and the royal! The pain au chocolat isn't exactly flaky, but is still very good! On the other hand, I was disappointed because the opening hours on Saturdays aren't 9:30 a.m. but 10:30 a.m. We waited an hour in the neighborhood, only to find that all the savory brunch items weren't available until noon... Even the lattes weren't available. It's a shame because the concept and the food are great!

A unique place if you're celiac; they have a separate oven for gluten-free preparations and baking. They're concerned about this issue, so you can trust them. I've always heard good things about this pastry shop located near the Prefecture. I'd been wanting to try it for a long time. Its unique feature is that it's 100% vegan and offers pastries made with local, organic, and gluten-free products. I had my doubts about the taste of the cakes on offer. I wrongly thought they would be less indulgent than a traditional pastry shop. A colleague and I finally went there in May. There's a small tea room upstairs where you can enjoy a snack on the premises. The mini strawberry cakes we chose were so delicious that we couldn't resist the temptation to try other equally delicious cakes.

I'll be honest: I didn't even want to leave a comment... Because Le Balagan is a place you want to keep to yourself. This restaurant is a slap in the face. World peace. Yannick takes obvious pleasure in offering vegan, organic, gluten-free cuisine—and mind you, not sad or sloppy dishes, no, everything here is crafted, thoughtful, and delicious. This is something you've never seen before in Marseille. Every plate is amazing, there's nothing to throw away. The eggplant moussaka with rosemary, the tajine-style stew with candied lemon, almonds, and apricots... pure bliss. Honestly, I didn't know how to repay him, it's so good... and then I realized: the best way is to come back, again and again. Thank you, Yannick. You've set the bar very, very high.

Great experience! Very attentive service, lovely meals (we had pizza and pasta, with cocktails) and very good option in Marseille for gluten free. The menu offers gf pasta - my husband has celiac disease and had a lovely gf penne bolognaise, no trouble at all.

Nice family run place. I had the lemon tart and nice milk coffee. A bit far out from the city centre for a tourist visitor. Eclectic mix of wool and girly gifts also available. It was 12:00 noon when we arrived so selection was limited. Thanks to Lily and daughter for providing an entirely gluten free option. France is tough for celiacs!

Such a lovely, amazing place to eat!! We came back 3 times while we were in Marseille! Quaint and cute place inside or outside! We tried a different burger every time we visited and they all tasted so delicious! The chef and staff there are so kind, warm, and friendly. Fast service, fresh tasting ingredients, and quality food! They even have gluten free buns, which were also delicious! We were sad when our time in Marseille was over and wished we could take this wonderful place with us!

Cute little boulangerie that became our go to when staying in Marseille. Good gluten free options, great sourdough and a delicious bread with nuts and dried fruit called Monte Cristo. Staff remember you within a visit or 2. All round a lovely place.

Best ice cream in Marseille! I’ve struggled finding lactose free and gluten free ice cream here, and I can safely say it’s absolutely delicious. So many flavours! Okay a bit expensive, but you’re getting very high quality ice cream, so I think it’s worth it. Must try!

Too bad... Not much was going right... Service a bit top-notch (hurried and not very pleasant), I ordered gluten-free felucci with grilled pancetta, I ended up with penne with bacon... The bacon pasta from home but at 22 euros... This could have, at the very least, been explained to me beforehand rather than having to check my plate and make a complaint... A gesture from the management should be highlighted (I didn't pay for the plate that I only ate half of - I was hungry😂) but they had to go and get it too.... Too bad

We went there for the buckwheat pancakes (galettes), which are gluten-free. They have several options of sweet and savory pancakes and you can also make them to your liking with the ingredients you want. We found everything very good, the service was quick and friendly and the value for money is excellent. The place is small and it was full, but we were lucky to find a table and be able to eat there. 100% recommended.

Visually and culinary really great fully vegan food spot! The interior was beautiful, the plates were beautiful, our food has been incredibly delicious!😋😍 Basically nothing more to add 😂 We had a sweet potato bowl with fresh salad a creamy sauce, cranberries, chickpeas and figs. A tasty and quite healthy combination at the same time. The sweet potatoes were perfectly baked. My dessert was the gluten free (!) cake of the day - with chocolate chips, vanilla flavour and a syrup. One of the best vegan gluten free cakes I have eaten in 10years - really nice consistency, not dry but soft and sweet 🤤 The Yuzu flavoured Matcha was without sugar but jasmine syrup was available. Next time in Marseille we won’t miss De Bonheur! 💚🍠🥗🌱

90% of the menu is gluten-free. The menu also has vegan options. The restaurant owner is very attentive and knows his dishes perfectly. The sauces are also gluten-free, so it's fantastic for celiacs. The food is very affordable and the dishes are delicious. If you order a starter, main course, and dessert, it costs 25 euros per person. I highly recommend it. Really yummy fully vegan place! The owner is such a cool relaxed guy! And the decor inside including the kicker table has been really sweet with all the plant eating animals on the photographs. We enjoyed our food so much! My boyfriend had the fresh daily bowl, a salad with “chicken” nuggets and I ordered a burger (“Le Che”) with the gluten free option. The bread patties were replaced by potato fritters- great idea and so delicious! The beyond burger patty, vegan cheddar, sauce and the overall combination were so yummy and lovely put together…I don’t often eat burgers and especially this one I will remember for long 🤤😋 Next time in Marseille we’ll definitely go to Hailo again! 💚🍔🥗🌱

Excellent discovery of this restaurant 🤩 Unexpected arrival, my mother and I decide to test it via TheFork. Italian cuisine? YES 😍! Homemade pasta (+ gluten-free supplement for those with intolerances). Vegetarian dishes, with meat and with fish. Something to please everyone 😄. I had the Puglia Buratta starter which is hearty and the burrata tomato pasta which was just succulent 😋😋.

A beautiful project, useful and effective! I went there 4 times and each time the service was impeccable, with two smiling and professional waiters who accompanied us throughout the meal. The cuisine was exceptional, offering vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options, something to satisfy all palates! The decor is elegantly appointed, making the overall experience memorable. The maître d' takes the time to visit each table to discuss the project, answer questions and simply chat, a rare and very appreciable attention.

First I have to say the service is SO GOOD. The girl with the short black hair who served us was a total pro, so speedy so efficient (merci!). You do not need to wait long for a menu or for your order to be taken - and then the food arrives so fast. Also, the food is good with a lot of options to order from. Vegetarian, gluten free included. The desserts in particular were 5-stars. Try to get an outside table via reservation if you can :-)

The concept is very promising: gluten-free pastries, with tempting products. We sense a real desire to offer a delicious alternative for people with gluten intolerances or sensitivities, and that deserves to be commended. However, the flavors are lacking. The cookies, for example, aren't unpleasant, but they clearly lack flavor. There's no real taste identity; the flavors are bland, as if the base is there, but without the finishing touch that makes all the difference. It's a shame, because we feel there's potential. Perhaps a little more work on the recipes, textures, dosages, or natural ingredients could really change the products offered. I might come back in a few months to see how things are progressing, hoping that the taste will finally be there.

I wanted to write a review on this place because we have visited multiple times with different friends and we love it here. I can’t understand the negative reviews so decided to leave some positive feedback. We’ve always had delicious crepes, super friendly service and nice ice creams, juices and coffees. The savoury crepes were particularly delicious (I am gluten free and I loved the goats cheese, honey and salad galette) and the lavender ice cream was a favourite too. They were able to seat us as a table of 6 today without any issues and we stayed for multiple crepes and desserts and had a lovely afternoon so thank you for being so accommodating. We definitely recommend coming here if you’re in Marseille and we’ll be back again soon!
