We had a chilled and great late dinner at Zizzi, served by the friendly and lovely Darina. We are both gluten free and were advised about limitations, like they only have one pizza oven but then do their best to keep gluten free separate. We had our favourite king prawn skewers as a starter and our gluten free pizzas were exceptionally cooked. Would highly recommend Zizzi and especially Darina if you are lucky enough to have her as your waitress.

I loved Wagamama as I'm a celiac and they have a separate menu, but the last two times I've now gone I've raisukaree and the spring onions were NOT finely sliced they were long and soggy, the peppers were all green bar one small piece, and there wasn't much sauce. So I had left them both and half the rice. As no sauce to help the dry rice go down. The waitress did check to see if it was spring onion and it was. My husband's meal had them thinly sliced so I know it's possible. I know the green peppers is a me thing which I wouldn't mind if the rest of the meal was okay. The starter was good tho. Just ashame I won't be able to have this curry again

I ordered a vegan chocolate and vegan strawberry (dairy allergy) ice cream in a gluten free cone and it was wonderful. £3.50 for that I believe, and they didn’t even charge extra for a gluten free cone over the normal one which is a nice change. Great place with very nice and helpful staff. I'm celiac so I can't have gluten. They were careful when made aware of this. They don't have gluten free burger buns, however they offer a lettuce wrap or naked, the chips and extras are gluten free (but obviously check).
Everything was clean and tidy. The fancy drink machines are a little confusing (make sure you place the cup first).

After a 6 hour journey from Yorkshire, there was nothing more I wanted. I googled gluten free fish and chips Portsmouth, and hey presto “kingfisher fish and chips Southsea”.
To get gluten free fish and chips is one thing, to find it entirely gluten free was an extra bonus.
Reasonably priced, a big box of scraps all to myself! I wish I had got a photo before I started eating, but I forgot in the excitement. What better way to eat than on Clarence esplanade at Southsea watching the hovercraft come in and ferries leaving. Would absolutely recommend!…. Which I had done to family that live near by at Waterlooville.
