We are so glad we found this crepe place and we love coming here! Their savory and sweet crepes are delicious and the ingredients they use are fresh and high quality! Most importantly they have buckwheat gluten-free crepe option. The staff and the owner are friendly and kind.
As the mother of a child with Celiac Disease, I have to research each and every restaurant we venture to eat at to ensure it can be a safe experience for my child. I rely heavily on people’s reviews, because if you have Celiac and you get glutened, you know how sick it can make you so you definitely do other Celiacs a solid and spread the word if a restaurant is not safe. And it is for this purpose I have to write this review. Not to slam the restaurant, which is a beautiful ambience with nice staff. But I do have to let other Celiacs know that after telling the waitress my daughter has a wheat “allergy” (easier to say it’s allergy than to explain how Celiac’s actually works) they served her gluten not once but twice.
The first time it was in a seaweed salad that accompanied her sushi roll, after which the manager came over and let us know the mistake after my daughter already ate it. The second was a wafer in my daughter’s vanilla ice cream which was clearly visible so we sent it back.
Both dishes had been fully discussed with the waitress upon ordering to ensure it would be safe for my child. And the dessert was ordered after the manager had already apologized for the first mistake.
The manager and waitress were very apologetic and graciously comped our ENTIRE meal. Which was unexpected and appreciated. However, unfortunately, no amount of money will ever make it ok to poison my child with a food that will harm her. Twice.
When I asked how the mistakes had happened, she said they had some new chefs and obviously they needed to do some training. They said they do care about safety and handled it the best way they could have. But it still caused harm to my child.
We tipped the waitress over 20% of what the bill would have been for her work, as I am sure she put the orders in correctly, and the food runners were the ones to bring us our food -not her- so she couldn’t have intercepted the mistakes. But her and the manager’s response and taking full responsibility (which was appreciated) doesn’t help the fact that my child was harmed. It was just really disappointing and upsetting.
The other part of this is a review of the food. Taking our bad experience out to just judge the food, I was actually surprised. This wasn’t my first time there and I remembered it to be delicious. However, every dish I got was only mediocre. I didn’t expect this! The sauteed spinach was eh, same with the mashed potatoes. The mac n cheese was heavy on the bechamel sauce and lacked the cheesey flavor and cheddar bite. Very bland. Unremarkable ceasar salad and the croutons were also not good! Usually that’s my favorite part of a Ceasar! My daughter’s sushi roll was good but not anything remarkable, either. Cheesecake was fine tasting but I’d have preferred a regular ‘ol graham cracker crust rather than a deconstucted cheesecake filling in a mason jar with cinnamon toast crunch and stawberries on top. Cool idea, but the classic would have actually tasted better imo. Bread pudding was the best thing I tried there. Definitely delicious. Others at our table feel Towne is their favorite restaurant, and loved their food. They had meat dishes, which I think is most what they are known for. I guess it just wasn’t mine and my daughter’s night!
Delicious food and drinks! I have Celiac Disease and it is one of my go-tos. They completely understand Celiac and make it easy and enjoyable to dine gluten free there 🥰

Absolutely delicious. Everything I had was cooked to tender perfection and flavorful. The chicken was especially tender. The andouille sausage had a lovely kick. I love that they had gluten free options. The interior is cute. Service staff is polite and does a great job. There’s also plenty of parking.

We are here for dinner a few weeks ago. All servers were very helpful and friendly and made accomodations for me for gluten free. Portions were large and the food was all delicious. Will definitely come back for authentic Greek food!

Had the Siesta salad--very tasty! Lots of gluten free options, and I was not nervous about cross contamination based on the behind-the-counter workflow. My salad barista was kind and friendly, and she put on the perfect amount of "just a little" dressing. The price was reasonable for the ingredient quality and flavor. The owner took care of me at the register, and it's always great to see the owner on-site and working alongside everyone. I went at the perfect time (11:30) because there was only one order in front of me. When I left, there was a line. Outside seating was cozy despite the rain.
Enjoy a unique wine flight experience with intriguing selections and a fun variety of toppings that keeps things exciting.

We had wonderful service from everyone who interacted with us. I was happy to see that I could have multiple gluten free options if we chose to do a variety of appetizers or if we chose to do just mains--today we did just mains. I was excited to try some new wines I had not experienced before through the flight option, but there were also selections on the main list that were interesting. We decided to purchase the cantina of an option in our flight. I'll be interested to see how often the selection turns over to fill the cantina--right now there seems to be only three.

We looooove the Groovy Goose!!! Finally an alternative to the big chains. Their coffee is WAY better, their pastries are amazing and fresh and locally made, and their prices are great! Not to mention they have a reward system and after just a few weeks, I received $5 off of my purchase today-- can't beat that!
I've had iced lattes, hot lattes, and cold brew. The cold brew is a slightly lighter roast than I usually prefer but everyone has different tastes and it was still very good! They use my favorite oat milk from Califia. I've tried the scones, the butter croissant, the gluten free banana muffin, and the prosciutto sandwich on a delicious baguette. All so good!!
The owners are San Carlos locals, and they're such great people! The entire staff is lovely, welcoming and helpful.
Skip the lame chains and check them out for sure! It has the coolest vibe and decor, LOVE the roll up door and the benches!
Thank you everyone at Groovy Goose!!

Amazing pizza, even for gluten-free. I have ordered so-called gluten-free from pizza places and had an allergic reaction. However, Doppio Zero uses flour imported from Italy, which does not contain glyphosates because it is not sprayed with Roundup like all the wheat in the United State. Thank you Doppio Zero for making your food with flour produced outside the United States! I can finally enjoy a pizza without worrying if I will have a gluten reaction.

Went in for lunch on a Monday, and we were able to order at the counter without a wait. The food tasted so fresh and was very flavorful. Like most places, Lulu's can't guarantee cross-contamination of gluten free items won't occur, but I felt comfortable as a celiac because most things are gluten free aside from the flour tortillas.
Charming outdoor seating with an elegant vibe, offering a creative menu and knowledgeable service for a delightful lunch experience.

Went for a Friday lunch and got outdoor seating. The menu isn't marked for gluten free, but a lot of the items are gluten free. Even ones that you might not expect like battered and fried cauliflower (gram flour for batter)--just ask your waiter. Ours was really knowledgeable and attentive. The ambiance indoors looked really nice and reflected the elegant plating of our meal. If you go for just entrees, the cost is reasonable, but adding drinks and appetizers quickly tips the bill towards a bit much.
Great brunch, lots of options even with our restrictive preferences of gluten free and pescetarian. Great outdoor seating and enough space for groups. We've had a dinner party in their wine room too and that experience was terrific as well.
LOVED IT!!! This is the best ice cream place in the Bay Area which has a lot of ice cream flavors, including vegan, gluten free, no eggs. We had cookie and cream ice cream bar, and caramel ice cream bar and it was so delicious. Their interiors are also well designed to give you a nice time. I will surely visit again!
With creative dishes made from scratch and a vibrant menu for diverse diets, the experience is a delicious adventure worth revisiting.

amazing experience and lovely staff!!
the restaurant has many options for all kinds of diets. as a gluten-free and vegetarian person, I would highly recommend trying their delicious salads (my fav was Esnaf so far!) and hummus app. (really yum!)
general recommendations:
for vegans: hummus, esnaf, coban and roka salad.
for vegetarians: mushroom, spinach pide.
( it is a boat shaped turkish pizza and it is a “must try”)
and my friends’ recs:
they had lahana sarmasi and manti for appt.
as a main dish they shared kebap trio which comes with small lahmacun, rice and a side of salad. I could say all the trios are worthy to try.
deserts:
pistachio gelato is just so different and delicious. if you are a fan of halvas, or willing to try new tastes, you should give it a try.
one more thing I liked about the restaurant is they make everything out of scratch :)
def we would come back 🌼

incredible how every dish from true Ethiopian was seasoned and cooked to perfection, no notes. they were kind and accommodating with coordinating our order, and made sure all of our injera was gluten free when they learned that a member of our party was allergic. highly highly recommended.
