Veggie staple! I love the new menu changes! I have been eating here for at least 13 years and I am thrilled to have newer options. Love all the gluten free options now too, especially that new cheesecake. So nice to see a little menu revamp while keeping the favs. Well done! - also their delivery travels/holds up a lot better than most, so that's a plus.
Great customer service and a unique fluffy crust with a crispy bottom make this spot a must-try for pizza lovers!

Order through Uber eats and there was a mix up with the order. I called and they worked with me to fix the situation and even threw in another item on the house. Great customer service!
Then once we got the food it was also great! We ordered 2 pizzas gluten free due to dietary restrictions and it was excellent! A nice fluffy crust with a crispy bottom. Would definitely recommend.

Came here with the family and had a wonderful time! Adrian was our server, he was so kind and helpful! He was also super knowledgeable about all the gluten free options on the menu and brought out my tacos in a separate dish! Great atmosphere, food, and drinks! Will definitely be back soon!

I love that they have gluten free/dairy free/egg free crepes. It’s buckwheat so it tastes a bit funny and sticky but it’s ok. The savory flavor was ok for me but the sweet one: honey, walnut and strawberry was great. Amazing tea selection and nice big mugs

I live in the neighborhood and have been to Mindy’s many times. The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly and kind. Everything I’ve had from there is SO good, from their bagels to biscuits to cookies to donuts! They have gluten free bagels and some gluten free sweets too, that are delicious. I highly recommend Mindy’s Bakery!

Lots of gluten free options, a wide variety of food (from sushi, to Thai curry, to noodle dishes, and more).
Food is good and priced well.
I thought the presentation on some of the food was a little cheesy and it’s not very cohesive, but I think that is part of the charm of this place. Everything that comes out is like it’s own little art piece. We walked by another table on our way out that had a very detailed and artistic dragon made out of colorful mayo (I think?) so fun and creative.
Chill vibes with live blues music and a diverse menu ensure a memorable experience, where fresh flavors and unique sandwiches steal the show.

Absolutely incredible food. No choice is a bad choice. Our server Rebecca was super sweet. Helped me navigate as a celiac needing gluten free, she was very kind and made sure my food wasn't in contact with gluten. Sauces are gluten free too! I got the burnt ends. Portion seems sort of small but it was more than enough.
A must-visit for its well-prepared dishes and a welcoming vibe, promising a memorable dining experience that will keep you coming back.

As someone who is newly gluten free and visiting Chicago for the first time, I was overwhelmingly satisfied with both the food and welcoming/accommodating service here. Our server was kind and efficient and our food was outstanding. While only staying five days here in Chicago, both my mom and I agreed to return here for dinner before we leave.

Amazing food. Most of their menu is customizable so you can make it vegetarian or vegan. My spouse has Celiac’s and they were super careful and accommodating. Every time someone comes to visit me I make sure to bring them. Their Huevos Volando is a dream come true, as have been their chai, coffee, lemonades, and everything there we’ve tasted.

Always a great energy & environment. Their patio on a nice day is awesome. I’ve had dinner here multiple times and it’s always great. We recently had brunch and it was delicious. They have limited vegetarian/gluten free options but are willing to omit ingredients when needed.

We went here for my wife's birthday. She has a gluten intolerance and other food allergies and the staff was extremely accommodating. The food was absolutely spectacular and the portions very generous. Our pasta came out so fast, we were shocked. I make my own espresso at home, but I am telling you the double they served me was the most luxurious thing I could imagine. I took a star off the atmosphere for a slight swampy smell. This may be from winter plumbing issues, but it was noticeable. Otherwise it was cozy and comfortable.
Where do we begin? We went with West Town Bakery for our wedding cake because my wife has a dairy allergy, so we needed a vegan cake. We are excited to find West Town because there are very few places in Chicago with vegan wedding cake options that aren't also gluten-free. However, working with West Town was very disappointing.
First off, when we went to taste test the cake options, not all of the promised vegan options were available (despite ordering these options in advanced). However, we were able to make a selection we liked based on what they had available at the time. Second, when we decided on our flavor options and wanted to learn more about their wedding cake ordering process, we had the unfortunate experience of working with the most inept employee we'd ever encountered. He didn't know half the answers to our basic questions like how far in advance should we pay and if sheet cakes were an option (despite supposedly working in the cake department) and then sent us a invoice that had our cake and payment details totally wrong. We had to send him a corrected invoice before we were comfortable paying the reservation fee. If we had any other options for a vegan wedding cake, we would have changed cake vendors at this point, trust us.
Thankfully, a few days later, that employee left West Town Bakery, and we were paired with a far more competent employee. And we naively thought things would improve. Unfortunately, when we went to update our cake order based on our final guest count (before the final changes deadline in our contract with West Town) they again sent us a contract/invoice with incorrect wedding cake details (no note about the cake needing to be vegan) and wildly incorrect payment due dates. We again sent them a corrected invoice and got assurances that the cake order was updated and would be correct!
Then comes the wedding day. Not only was the cake delivered one hour late, but they also delivered the wrong order. They did not update our wedding cake order for the accurate number of guests despite having confirmed that they would. This resulted in us having a much smaller display cake than we requested and paid for and much more sheet cake that we did not need!
The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the cake actually tasted good and my wife didn't have an allergic reaction, so we guess it was at least dairy free.
Unique and delicious options await, with a standout thin crust that keeps everyone coming back for more, making it a must-try spot!

I really wanted to love this place! The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was great. However, my fiancée and I were pretty disappointed with the vegan and gluten-free cheese pizza. For over $20, we definitely expected more. The cheese wasn’t melted at all, the crust was bland, and there was hardly any sauce, which made the pizza really dry. Neither of us could finish just one slice. Maybe it was just an off night, but based on the reviews mentioning great vegan options, I had higher hopes. I love that more places are offering inclusive menu items, but I think it’s important for restaurants to really taste-test these options before serving them.

If you grew up in a very mixed home, if you've ever gotten lost in a good fantasy books and wondered what it'd be like to get home after a long trip away... to feel invited by a new world that feels just a little too familiar... this is the place to go. I finish every meal with a queso vasca, it's a sweet cheese similar to a Boston cheesecake with a base of caramelized onions. It is a dessert that is best served with the Spanish coffee, the combination gives a sense of belonging... like the cook understands everything you've been through and wants you to know that it's okay, that they understand. The food here is always very good, the service is equally worth while. Please, if you have doubts about this place just set them aside and take some time to enjoy the magic that is the food here. Get lost in a fantasy, come home, feel the joy of belonging. The majority of the food is gluten free too.

10/10 one of the best places I’ve eaten! Everyone there was friendly and the food was great, and especially entertaining if you get something spicy that your friends aren’t used to and have them try it. Not only loved their different meals, along with the fact that you could get a majority of them gluten free and vegetarian which is amazing, but all the drinks they had to choose from were great as well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something quick and good, especially the tteokbokki!

Kai Zan is by far one of the best sushi places I've ever been, including Japan, the rest of southeast Asia and LA. Their dishes are unique, delicate and never disappoint. Every time I'm back in Chicago I try to stop in. Oyster shooters are my favorite along with some of the hamachi sashimi dishes. Yes yes yes!!! Oh and they're great accommodating gluten free.

Excellent food, as always, with scrumptiousgluten free options.
The gluten free chicken and lamb shwarma dinners are both quite tasty. They give a choice of rice, so I tried both rice mixtures, and the dinner was enough for two meals. Their hummus is the best I've had, as is their lentil soup. The salad bar offers so many authentic foods to sample, also. Ooh, don't forget the sauce: the red, spicy sauce and the white sauce. They compliment the food nicely! In the warmer weather, the location on North Ave also has an outdoor patio. This is a great, low stress, easy on the budget option for lunch or dinner...or both!

My friend and I came here to eat brunch, it took us a while to find the entrance because it was hidden. But it’s not that bad because it’s super easy to locate once you walk inside. When we got in, we were greeted by staff and got to our table really quickly. The service was pretty fast and nice. One of the servers was even telling us jokes, which was super sweet of them.
The waiter is also knowledgeable about the menu (my friend has a gluten free diet), so he was able to help my friend find a gluten free option. The food was super good, I really loved the French toast and the portion they give is big as well. Definitely a good atmosphere to the area and loved it a lot.

Went for a dinner and a brunch. Both were very good. Their gluten free substitutions were tasty, and the rest of their food and drink were very good. The potatoes at brunch were quite unique and tasty! The roasted vegetabl dinner was the highlight of the meal. The service was very good...a bit slow during brunch, but not enough to ruin the meal!

So, I'm vegan, and my sister is gluten free. So while she was in town for the holidays, we went to Frera, and bought one of everything (of the small pastries). We shared with the family, and everyone loved everything. I usually don't love chocolate desserts, but Frera's were incredible. <3

Not your usual brewpub. Funky colors, wide selection of crafted beers, great food. We had the corn dog (best one ever) and yucca fries, smash burger (gluten free bun), and mac & cheese. They have vegan and vegetarian options too. Check their website for evening events.
Old school clean warm welcoming vibe. Best gluten-free hand made pasta I have had in my 25 years of being gluten-free. I had the shrimp diavolo, so many shrimp great rich flavor!

This place is one of the only sushi spots I can safely eat at as a celiac! They always make sure to double check the order is gluten free, and they offer tamari. I also love that when I call an order in, they already have a note that I need the entire order gluten free! Super nice people all around.
