The best vegan gluten free burger I have ever had in my entire life. Recommended by a local and it was an excellent experience from the service, to the ambiance to the food. Highly recommend!

Very good food and service. Enjoyed going right before a show at the State Theater which about a 5 minute walk. There's many choices to meet everyone's tastes and even accommodated our gluten free friend. Would definitely go back.

I'm surprised I liked it. Went here once for a book club meeting; we sat upstairs and I did not order anything. The others ordered what looked like tasty, greasy, cheesy, fatty bar food. (I think it was the patatas I saw and was on the fence about trying. It looked like it was too much, but they liked it).
Came back another time and tried a hot dog - it was pretty good, I like the gluten free bun option and that you can make your own. Very casual, odd location, but there is some parking.
I'm not a hot dog aficionado, I've probably only ever eaten one out at a food venue in NJ two other times: 1, at point pleasant beach, at that yellow stand in the middle of the boardwalk, where they have the best boardwalk fries - and the hot dog there is a footlong and we tried it once and split it 3 ways, but I had to eat it without the bun. And it was good. 2, the cider mill near hacklebarney state park, where the hot dogs and sauerkraut are cooked in the cider or something like that. Also ate it without the bun, and I do like it and try to get there once a year or once every two years.
Sometimes, it's those mediocre, just okay experiences that you may come back for, and it'll hit the spot.
I feel like I should add the health warning: hot dogs are not brain food and may take years off of your life ("Eating a hot dog takes away 36 minutes of healthy life"). Everything in moderation.
Coffee enthusiasts rave about the unique espresso-like drink, admire the interior decor and report meals are reasonably priced.

Everyone loved it for my birthday one year. We tried the honey wine, I got lentils, they had gluten free injera, and the others got mixed fish and meat and vegetarian. Simple atmosphere, but good food.
Unexpectedly amazing spot for fresh, soft, and delicious baked goods, with plenty of unique vegan options that everyone can enjoy.

This is the absolute best gluten free bread my family and I have ever had and we have tried ALOT of gf breads. We have had to order gluten free bread on many occasions from California because that was the only good one we could find, so to have an even BETTER one available right here in NJ is such an unexpectedly amazing find. It is so hard to find fresh, soft gf sour dough bread and if you’re gluten free you know how amazing it is to finally find something that is actually delicious and tastes like bread! I visited the cafe today and the staff was so helpful, kind, and generous and gave me a lot of helpful information on the bread. I will definitely be ordering more online!

I get together with old friends once a quarter at Evelyn's. The food, service and atmosphere are conducive for our get togethers, as there's
something for everyone to eat, be they vegetarian, gluten free, or allergic, and it's always delicious. We can hear each other, because it's not noisy and it's adorable.
Amazing catering experience with fresh, plentiful options and thoughtful surprises that make every event feel extra special.

This was the first time working with Business Bistro. The food was plentiful, fresh, and delicious. I was particularly impressed when I mentioned that two of our people were gluten intolerant. Jeff offered to make falafel salads which were amazing. When the food was delivered, Business Bistro also included gluten free brownies and cookies for us. I wish I needed catering more often. I loved the whole experience!
Great service and food! They were very accommodating of my gluten allergy and substituted pita with veggies for no extra charge. The hummus is outstanding! The olive oil they use enhances every dish! I've tried the snapper and the salmon and have not been disappointed. The table service is fast and all the workers are very friendly.
On a Saturday night it can get very busy so I would try to call for reservations and don't expect it to be quiet in the dining room. Very delicious and lively restaurant. My only recommendation to the staff would be to keep on top of the bathroom's cleanliness.
Remember Cheers on TV? This cafe has that same neighborhood vibe. I've met people here I never would have met anywhere else. The couple who own the cafe are a pastry chef and her husband. I really appreciate the gluten free options! The saffron tea is to die for. There's an outdoor patio. What's not to love?

I never write reviews but this place deserves the praise! They have the best gluten free pizza I’ve had in the area, crust is flavorful and crispy never dry or chalky. The owner and staff are always exceptional and very friendly. I wish them much luck in the years to come!
Vibe is chill with tasty empanadas and decent pizza, but be cautious of sticky floors and seating spots for a more enjoyable time.

Great atmosphere and really nice servers. We got the empanadas and gluten free marg pizza to share - empanadas were absolutely delicious, pizza was decent.
The fish & chips and gluten free chicken sandwich were both good; the tres locos tacos unfortunately fell apart after one bite.
Just watch where you sit though, we got seated in a corner and the floor was super sticky. Totally fine, its a bar after all, but wish it was a little cleaner during the day
Featuring their signature Always Double Fried® Chicken🍗🍗 wings, the industrial-chic atmosphere truly accents Albany Street with fabulous alfresco flare, spirited brick backdrop, and lively team! If you haven't had it, their authentic Korean-inspired meals are EPIC with apps like Tempura Cheese Curds and Kimchi Fries; unique meals like Shrimp filled Ramen Tacos 🌮 and the gluten-free sweet rice crunchy R - Waffle 🧇; and first-class cocktails! 🍷🍸🍹🍺

I went to Hansel 'n Griddle at 2:45 PM on December 3, 2024. In the lunch rush. The $15 lunch included a drink. The 130 Easton Ave, New Brunswick, site is near Rutgers University. Due to restricted street parking, a neighboring paid parking garage is available. The cashier smiled and explained several menu selections. Despite the congestion, the service brought out the food quickly. Modern décor and a cozy seating area create a relaxed atmosphere. Even during busiest hours, the restaurant was clean and tables were washed down. My order took 10 minutes, which was impressive. The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming. Chicken Quesadilla was my favorite—flavorful and well-cooked. Freshly squeezed orange juice was very refreshing. Service was fast and the personnel handled the throng well. College students love Hansel 'n Griddle because they take Rutgers meal cards. They also serve gluten-free wraps and vegetarian meals. Trivia nights and seasonal specials make it fun to hang out. Hansel 'n Griddle is a great New Brunswick informal restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is fast, and the ambiance is friendly. Perfect for a fast lunch or a casual meal with friends. I recommend the Chicken Quesadilla and fresh-squeezed orange juice to visitors. Parking is the major drawback, but food and service are great.

My friend introduced me to this place a few months ago and it immediately became my favorite bubble tea spot around Rutgers. I love fruit teas, and especially fruit teas with actual fruit in them, so this place is perfect! My favorite is the grapefruit passion tea. They also have gluten free chocolate lava cake which is a pleasant surprise.
Longtime favorite with a mix of traditional and new dishes, though some say the classics aren’t what they used to be.

Been on and off this place for the past 10 years. When I first started eating here I would always get the chorizo box, recently I have gotten the chorizo a few times and it is deff not the same, not as good as it used to be. I usually get the Al pastor nowadays. My wife gets the grilled chicken, she has celiac and is fairly sensitive. She gets chicken rice and cheese, nothing else and she usually doesn't get irritated. They inform the kitchen and seem to be very safe about it, use extra paper so even the tray doesn't touch anything. Good place to eat, come eat here!
The basement vibe is perfect for gatherings, with tasty drinks and generous portions making it a must-visit spot for celebrations!

I went to Cuzin’s for a birthday dinner, we sat in the basement which had a nice ambience. I have celiac disease, talked to the waitress about it (I believe her name was Caitlin..she was fantastic! she knew everything about the menu and exactly what I could and could not eat). Although they don’t have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, they did have gluten free penne pasta. There were some dessert options as well (which all sounded really good!).
I ended up eating the brussel sprouts, bacon appetizer, and ahi tuna tower. My drink was fantastic as well. I didn’t get sick, so I’m really pleased with the experience and thankful for their ability to accommodate being gluten free.
With a solid reputation built over two decades, this spot impresses with creative salads and consistently flavorful dishes that keep customers coming back.

I've been a PJ's customer for over 20 years. I love their white pizza with tomatoes and broccoli, olive oil and garlic. You should try it, if you haven't by now. I've been avoiding pizza for the past few years because of gluten sensitivity, and recently, when my family ordered pizza for dinner, I opted for a chicken salad. Thinking that it will be bland, but whatever. To my greatest surprise, PJ's did a wonderful job with using a variety of greens, not just romaine or just iceberg lettuce, and the chicken was so flavorful and well cooked. Thank you PJ's! You have a lifelong customer here. Keep up the great work!
