Amazing for people with celiac disease!!! They have separate prep areas so no risk for cross contamination, and the food is so good it makes you question if it’s gluten free. Best gluten free food on the beach!!!!!
With a fun, eclectic atmosphere, this spot offers a great variety of snacks and drinks, along with welcoming indoor and outdoor seating.

Great coffee. I used to love the BLT and all sandwiches. They have gluten free bread/bagels but no dedicated appliances so just can’t get it toasted. Staff was very kind!
A spot with an excellent price point, where owners go above and beyond, and the place is kept spotless.

Vegan and gluten free friendly (with vegan cheese and THREE gluten free vegan crust options to choose from), and Scott went so far above and beyond for us. He was especially kind to our eight year old son, Isaiah. It's always so refreshing when people in the restaurant business are delighted by the presence of children. My husband said the regular crust is one of the best he's ever had. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend Village Pizza in Nags Head, OBX.

GLUTEN FREE bun option. Truly a take-out restaurant. It is located in a shopping center and there is limited seating inside and outside. The smash burgers were awesome and the fries were hot, fresh, and delicious. A tad expensive (two yum yum burgers and fries, one with a GF bun came to $42) but really good.
This spot is a hit for quick bites, where unique flavors and dedicated care create a welcoming vibe for everyone.

My first Jersey Mike’s sub was yesterday at the shop just over Wright Memorial Bridge in Kitty Hawk. It was a portobello and Swiss on a gluten-free bun. So good! Very friendly employees as well. 👍👍
Enjoy stunning waterfront views, outdoor seating for pets, and a mix of solid dishes at a reasonable price, but expect a wait to get in.

The prices are a little steep, but the food and service are great! I was happy to see gluten free options because most places don't recognize this. Our waiter, Mike, was on point, very knowledgeable and most courteous. The view was amazing as we were seated by the window overlooking the sound. However, the room was VERY loud; there were many large parties in a little room and the acoustics lacked a lot to be desired. For the size room, less large party tables would have been better, but I'm sure they accommodate groups based on need. Overall, it was a good experience, but I don't think the Waterfront Style Scallops was worth the money. My husband had the 1/2 lb steamed crab; 1/2 lb steamed shrimp and the shrimp could have used a little more time in the steamer.
Really cool local coffee shop. Great specialty coffees, hot, iced and frozen. Also a bunch of homemade tea options too! Bagels, pastries snd muffin options. A few Gluten Free options as well.
A great spot for families with attentive service and unique touches to keep the little ones entertained while you enjoy your time.

We had a great experience. Our waitress Kellye took the time to ensure all food allergies were accounted for, and personally put forth the effort to ensure what we were getting didn’t contain anything each individual was allergic to. She had to account for gluten sensitivity, nut and shellfish allergies. Then the manager took the time to aide in entertaining my toddler twin nieces by bringing things out to keep them busy. The food was amazing, and the staff was exceptional.
A casual spot where you order at the counter, featuring a cool bar with a fantastic beer selection and rave-worthy unique creations.

It’s a walk-in and place your order at the counter type pizza place. We had the Gluten Free pizza with all the meat and the ripcurls. They have a bar as well with a great beer selection

When we arrived, we were not sure what we would expect. But based on the reviews, we thought we needed to try this place. As we were just passing through, it seemed like an interesting opportunity for us. I wasn’t that hungry and had a very light meal With the sirloin tips. But my wife, she was pretty hungry. She ordered the Bouillabaisse. She usually cannot order this due to it, not being gluten-free. But this was gluten-free so she took the opportunity for a treat. When it arrived at the table after her first bite, she looked at me and she said and I quote: this is ridiculously good! In fact, she said it was the best she’s ever eaten in her entire life, couple out with Tracy, who has been a server at this place for 35 years and we had a winner. Yes, it seems a little old and musty due to the history of the restaurant, but you quickly get used to that too. What an experience for us to have died at this lovely establishment called Owens. Thank you, Tracey For the great service and thank you for the great meal always!
Enjoy a casual vibe with great views from the top floor patio, perfect for a relaxed hangout with friends.

As a gluten-free diner, I really appreciated our server, Claire, who was very knowledgeable about the menu options and preparation practices that would make my meal safe. We opted for burgers, which were delicious. The gluten-free roll was very good, soft, and held together well. The atmosphere was casual and fun. We sat on the top floor patio and had a nice view. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd highly recommend Mulligans.
The Wife and I have been coming in here since it was very small back in 2010. Always had a good meal. We missed it the past 2 COVID years. It was quite different this time in regards to the actual quality of the meal as compared to years past. It's not as clean as it once was and there were multiple flies at our table by the dirty window. The staff are well trained and attentive. The scallops were excellent while the seaweed bedding was too tough to consume. The wife's shrimp and grits (her favorite seafood meal) were bland with an excessive amount of liquid. My Sandbar special fish portions were very good. The oysters were over breaded and overcooked and served on a huge mound of fries. At over $100 w/tip it was expensive for what we got. We will give the Blue Moon a pass next time and try some other places that we haven't already ruled out.
*Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food.
A beachy vibe spot with cute photo ops, merch like t-shirts and stickers, and a fun outdoor picnic area with giant Connect 4.

SO glad to have found this place on the OBX! The avocado toast was so good I went back for a 2nd piece - and they even serve gluten free bread! The smoothie bowls are also great. Atmosphere is really cute with beachy vibes with several photos ops inside or out. If you’re like me and enjoy purchasing merchandise at places like these, you're in for a treat. They have t-shirts, tumblers, hats, stickers, and more.
There is also a picnic area outside for giant connect 4. Looking forward to visiting The Spot each year we vacation on the Banks.
Expect top-notch service with a unique twist on classics and exceptional flavors that make every bite worth the price.

Friendly service. This is counter service but they still come to your table to see if you need anything. The food is amazing! So delicious and the recipes are exceptional. I had the French dip. The onion jam was awesome! If you’re gluten free, they’ll put your meat on a bed of lettuce. My husband says the peppered bacon is delicious. He had that on his Philly steak. Our son loved his cheese burger. He says it’s as good as a steak. It was $50 for the three of us to eat but the quality is there and it was worth it.

Don’t waste your time at the other ice cream place in Nags Head, Booty’s has the best ice cream. So many choices and amazing hard serve ice cream. We also have a dairy free, gluten free family member and Booty’s has more than 1 option for her so it’s great! They have a non- dairy ice cream choice, they have shaved ice, and they also carry rainbow ice dipping dots which are dairy free!
