The food here is Deliso! My son has celiac., a severe glueten intolerance, and this is one of the very few places that you can trust to be truly dedicated. The staff is friendly and fast. I highly recommend! Glueten free or glueten full, lol, it's DELISO!

I came here with my family at the recommendation of friends and we really enjoyed this place. It was busy but the staff worked hard to get the orders ready. I enjoyed the regular pizza I got, my wife enjoyed her gluten free and our son enjoyed his chicken tenders and french fries. Upon leaving, I saw the drive-thru in action and was impressed with how they were able to fulfill all their orders. I would highly recommend this place.
Juicy, massive burgers and a chill vibe make this a must-visit spot in Gettysburg, perfect for a tasty meal with great drinks.

While traveling it's very difficult to find a celiac safe restaurant, however The Gettysburger Company was amazing when it came to accommodating our family. The server was very attentive and knew all of the gluten free options, as well as being able to warn the kitchen staff of all of our various allergies.
For food allergy families I give this place 10 out of 10
A charming spot with cozy seating and a lovely atmosphere, offering thoughtful service and delicious meals that keep guests coming back for more.

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday - sandwiches were really yummy. The server was well versed in their gluten free options and substitutes. My only notes are that the bathrooms both needed a good cleaning and that the menu itself does not specify which items can be made gluten free, which seems like an oversight.

Appalachian Brewing Company is probably one of the few recommended restaurants or pubs in the area. Their alcohol selection is full and their food selection is also full of great options.
Unfortunately if you have a food allergy I wouldn't recommend this place as there are very few if anything at all that you can eat. Almost everything has gluten in it. The atmosphere is really friendly and almost like a high-class sports bar when there are games on. Unlike places like blue and gray where it takes 45 minutes or more to get a table, ABC typically can seat you within just a few moments.
If you like craft beers you should definitely try this place. Either the place on steinwehr or over by the Gateway Theater, both offer great experiences.
After a revamp, it's now a hotspot for live music and open-bar tabs with karaoke sessions on stage, which is a unique feature in town.

The food was excellent. They had several gluten free options for my partner. I really enjoyed the French toast. All the ciders were excellent and the bartender Katie was super friendly and hospitable.
Charming spot with a cozy vibe, offering a variety of crepes, vegan options, and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your meal.

I will start by saying there are two parts to this review. The first is the taste of the food, the second is about food safety. First the food is absolutely delicious and deserves five stars. Second, however, it is NOT safe for anyone with celiac disease or gluten allergy. The owner/manager assured me she had other celiac customers and claimed the gluten was "burned off" of the shared device they use to make the crepes (gluten and their "gluten free"). That is false. You can not burn off gluten. Google it if you want. The owner/manager was rude and insulting and made me feel very uncomfortable about even questioning her food. I gave her the benefit of the doubt anyway. Wish I hadn't. The woman who actually made the crepes was wonderful and kind and she thanked us for trusting her. I don't blame her, she was great and just doing her job. Unfortunately, I got very sick soon after eating there. I have celiac disease and its more than just having an upset stomach. I understand businesses don't want to turn customers away but you risk losing more customers if you lie about your food and put others at serious risk. I will end with saying that if you have no health, allergies or other food issues then by all means try everything on the menu because it was delicious.
Fresh ingredients and great hospitality make this spot a must-visit during road trips, perfect for families on the go.

We stopped in for lunch while on a very long road trip. The staff, especially Brittany, were so awesome, friendly and patient with our big family and my gluten intolerance. They gave the little kids bendy straws and even came over and checked to see if we needed anything once we were eating. The sandwiches were all delicious, and we would definitely be regular customers at that location if we lived near by! I was really impressed and thankful for their hospitality especially during this busy week of Thanksgiving travel!

Just finished a most amazing meal at Blessing. My wife (a celiac) ordered the mixed pupusas and I had the birrias tacos. At first I wondered where the typical beans and rice were but we were thankful that this place isn't your typical Americanized latin restaurant - the portions were more than enough to fill us. The pupusas were some of the best we've ever had. The birrias tacos were unlike anything I have ever had...the flavors were amazing and highlighted with the dip. Sadly (but thankfully) they were out of desserts on this Wednesday evening. This was our first visit but there are so many enticing options on the menu, we will be back! Those birrias tacos...
Great spot with amazing food options and huge portions, plus some unique local sodas to wash it all down!

Called ahead and was told they had no wait for seating.
Arrive and half the restaurant is empty but all the tables are dirty.
Ask for gluten free menu options and was told "if we choose to order gluten free, it will take longer..." as a celiac I have never had my food at a sit down restaurant take longer, leading me to feel like everything must be precooked? Okay.. fine. We choose to be seated.
As we are seated our server comes to the table and "apologizes in advance as the kitchen is very backed up". We asked what that meant and he said "I haven't had a table wait over an hour..." then when I told him I was gluten free he repeated the longer wait speech so I asked "Okay.. what does that exactly??" He said he would confirm with the kitchen. .
As he leaves, the table beside us said "I'm sorry, we over heard what he said. We have waited over 2 hours for our food..." we talked a few minutes about how the establishment was so empty until the waiter returned.
The waiter then begins to inform us that "If we ordered light the kitchen can get us out in an hour." An hour for soup and salad??
At that point we just left.
Will likely never return.

Love this place. Right in the heart of Gettysburg on the circle, it's a great place to have a burger (the General Buford on a gluten-free bun is my favorite) before exploring the Battlefield.
Expect delicious and uniquely attentive service, with plenty of options that make for a memorable dining experience.

The sign outside saying they have the most gluten free options in the area got me, but the options aren't listed on the menu, you have to ask. That's fine I guess, but then my partner who is not gluten free didn't get bread with his appetizer or meal, even though I said I wasn't so sensitive that he couldn't have it. Food taste and portion size were mediocre. Too highly priced for what it is IMO. They do have gluten free options but so do other places with food that's more flavorful and a more fun atmosphere.

The Dobbin Houe Tavern fine dining restaurant is a romantic and delicious walk back through time. The history of the house is amazing as it was the first stop of the underground railroad north of the Mason Dixon line. If you go halfway up the stairs to the right of the hostess, you can see where the hidden loft is. The house has been maintained as in the 1800s. This, coupled with period furniture and dishes, helps to complete the feeling you have traveled back in time.
They have a full bar and wine list. I ordered a Manhattan cocktail, which was perfectly made.
Their menu is high-end American and fairly priced. They brought out a complimentary basket of assorted homemade breads with whipped butter, which I found amazingly addictive. My dinner started with a fresh crisp salad, which was refreshing. I ordered the NY strip as the main entree, which was perfectly cooked and insanely delicious.
The service was warm, friendly, and wonderfully attentive.
If you're gluten-free, this restaurant has you covered.
Pro Tip: Try the house dressing on your salad.

Deceptive allergen menu. I called ahead to see if they offered gluten-free menu and everything is cooked in the same fryer and is cross contaminated - Not Actually Gluten Free! I wish they were honest about their options, people can get very sick. They are not Gluten Free despite advertising they are. Not to mention the place was stuffy and crowded , I had staff and patrons into my chair trying to get through.
Overall very disappointed & got a side lettuce salad for dinner since everything on their “Gluten Free” menu would make me sick.
Bursting with flavor, this spot impresses with its delicious offerings and diverse menu, though some service hiccups can occur.

Honestly this food is so delicious, when they added onto door dash and we ordered the first time. We loved it. Especially the gluten free pasta menu. But everyone in our family was so pleased. On door dash they are one of the restaurants you cannot leave a message for, so we started calling for pick up. Because we were hoping they would let us order gluten free pasta, in the Mac n cheese. They did with an up charge, which is totally expected and we’ve been so grateful. Because I’m telling you every kid and adult in our family is pleased if we have a clementinas night. I’m not really sure what happened between now and the last time we ordered via phone call, but the phone number on the google page was no longer the restaurants number, then we checked DoorDash info and called the number they had listed. Someone answered and said that they were one of the owners, and because we thought we were calling the restaurant my husband went into thr Mac n cheese, GF, up charge of our order. And the man stopped him and asked how we got the number, when he told him DoorDash, and my husband laughed and was like I’m guessing maybe this isn’t a number for the public, he said no and hung up on him. You can see my dedication for this food, while I go on a website hunt for correct numbers, two listed on website, the first one was the first wrong number, the second was successful and we finally got into the restaurant. For the second time my husband starts the order and explaining the Mac n cheese ordeal. The lady who we spoke to then was asking someone else if she could do this then proceeded to put the order in. And he added the rest of our order as well. Success! Until we get a call a few minutes later, from a different phone number. I’m not sure if this was a cook or who it was, but he wasn’t very kind, and refused to believe we had ever ordered this here. My husband was trying to explain, we absolutely have, and it went into a back and forth about portion size, and noodle type, my husband tried to explain that yes we know it’s not a macaroni noodle but they subbed out the macaroni noodle for the GF option, and added up charges, for the difference in portion size and use of different noodle + the GF bread(also delicious, unfortunately) He finally told us we were wrong or we just ate a bunch of gluten filled macaroni and obviously didn’t realize it. It was kind of shocking and I wish I could relay the condescending tone of this guy. And just to add we’ve ordered the Mac and cheese as it is, along with a GF Mac and cheese…and also a GF pasta option from the GF menu. There is no doubt in my mind, we’ve had the GF penne in the Mac n cheese. It was just kind of shocking to get this kind of response. And look, I get it, I’ve worked within the restaurant business for many years, I understand how it can be annoying when people ask for menu changes, or dietary restrictions, so I’m very understanding and never demanding while asking different restaurants if I could make something an option. And will pay whatever up charge necessary, especially when it’s delicious. But if they no longer wanted to do that, they could just say that. Truly it’s your business, I wouldn’t have even considered writing a review if that’s how it was handled. It was just….weird behavior. I still can’t lie, it’s all great food. And even with the cost of having that Mac GF, it was by far the best and will continue to be something I think about atleast once a week. Just to be clear, I would pay top dollar and let someone run me over with a car to have that. It’s unfortunate, really. Hopefully they can figure out their phone number situation for future callers, and just maybe be a little more clear and a little less rude about menu changes, and dietary request.

I have to eat gluten & dairy-free, and that's difficult when dining out in an Irish pub! They accommodated me nicely, I ate smoked pork & fries. My husband's food looked AMAZING. I can see why it's such a popular place.

Gluten and soy-free diner here. Thank you once again to your employees who let me know that your homemade ice cream may contain soybeans. Therefore, my Siberian Husky, Juneau Elizabeth, and I each had a cup of your vanilla soft serve, and it was delicious! See for yourself.... We will head back later today for round #2!!
I love the place the people and the products. The sourdough is fermented for 3 days so the gluten molecule is diminished, not for those suffering with celiac disease but it's GREAT for gluten sensitive people. And the selection is marvelous. I frequently drive the extra distance and buy all they have, always looking for the day old discount too. I store it in my freezer until the next trip! They offer sandwiches, baked goodies, outdoor seating. It's just worth it!

This is my absolute favorite diner to get delicious food and friendly service. Shout out to Dom who is very attentive, funny, kind, and always in a great mood. I am sensitive to gluten and love ordering the omelets with home fries. I have never had a flare up. The food always comes out fast and tasty. The atmosphere of the place is very classic and comforting. Would recommend as a place to go when you need a hearty meal to fuel your Gettysburg adventures.
No gluten free menu, but it's a diner where you can easily get gluten free food. Plenty of good food at a good price. A great place to start your day before visiting the National Park.
I have been going here for 3 years and have never ordered something i didn't like. I also have a gluten intolerance and they always work with me and have gf chips and corn tortilla .
