This was my favorite place for pizza as we have gluten free and vegitarian needs in our home the last 3 times we have ordered it has gotten worse and worse this being the last time we spent 70 dollars for me my wife and daughter and everything we ordered was just completly terrible sad to say but this place has gone down hill fast
This place offers a delightful mix of tasty treats and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that will keep you coming back for more.

My husband loves this bakery. I do too as they make gluten-free and vegan items also. They do warn celiac customers that their gluten-free items are not made in a dedicated space. This is a bakery that has been around for a while. I highly recommend their delightful deserts and luncheon options.

Sandwich was good but they put all the meat in a big mound in the center so the edges were just bread. Their bagels aren't good- too bready, not enough gluten. They are not chewy like real bagels. They're only popular because Bangorians have never had a real bagel. Atmosphere is chaotic and hectic, all the hard surfaces make it very echoey and hard to hold a conversation. They replaced all the wood floors with cheap looking laminate. The plastic silverware is so flimsy, my spoon was bending trying to eat the potato salad. Staff were very friendly.
An amazing spot with a welcoming vibe, where the staff expertly shares specials and makes you feel truly valued during your visit.

It was our first time here and we had the best experience! They took the time to explain menu and the specials. They have many gluten free options and took time to explain them and they did not make me feel like a bother. All the employees were friendly and accommodating. We felt valued and welcomed. They definitely went above and beyond! Everything we had was DELICIOUS!! We will be returning!

gluten free pizza was delicious and had a nice time playing one of the bored games they had out ( labled that they were for customers to play ) but the server was clearly in a rush to get us out despite the place being completely empty besides us two she gave us the check and boxes wellst we were still eating and checked on us to get the check evey 5 or so minutes. such a shame as the food was lovely and the restaurant was beautiful. edit food ended up giving us both stomach issues.

Delicious, high quality coffee with house made syrups and great dairy free alternatives. Fantastic gluten free baked goods, especially the gluten free vegan chocolate peanut butter muffin and really lovely and filling gluten free bread for their sandwiches and stuff. The vibes are good and it's a great place to get work done.
Expect a lively spot known for its accommodating vibe and expertly crafted dishes that keep everyone satisfied.

Tried the gluten free pasta and 5 cheese marinara with grilled chicken. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the chicken was juicy and tender, and our server asked if we wanted the salad without croutons. We had a little problem with an electronic gift card, hopefully will work next time.
A chill spot to relax with friends, offering generous portions and amazing flavors that keep everyone coming back for more.

I really enjoy the curry basil Rangoon, bang bang cauliflower, and pork belly fried rice at The Jade. They are delicious. Since I posted this review, my dietary restrictions have changed, and I am now gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, and have a few other restrictions. The staff at The Jade has been incredibly accommodating and even made a note on my account to inform everyone. I appreciate their efforts.

Gluten Free Friendly!!! Have to say I absolutely loved 3 of the 4 courses. Loved: Tuna tartare squash soup, pear salad, and the chocolate mousse. My entree: Mahi Mahi was good, but bit bland.
Impressive attention to detail sets this spot apart, ensuring a great experience without compromising on taste or quality.

I went to this location twice last weekend and was extremely impressed! I can’t consume gluten due to having celiac disease and they are amazing with preventing any cross contamination. They completely wiped down the slicer and the preparation area, my sandwich was placed on a separate tray and they used a different knife to cut my sandwich. For an even bigger bonus, the bread didn’t taste gluten free and didn’t fall apart while I was eating it!
A cozy gem with a lovely atmosphere, serving beautifully crafted vegetarian and vegan dishes, perfect for both casual hangs and special nights out.

Marvelous restaurant!
If you are local and haven't tried this place yet, get your booty in gear, and if you are here for a visit, it is a must, to check out ! The food is absolutely wonderful. They work some kind of magic to achieve the balance of warm spices, and fresh flavors! I have been multiple times, and I am never disappointed, in fact I always leave with a craving for more 🤗 They have vegan and gluten free options, and a great list of cocktails. The service is also fantastic, and welcoming, it matches the overall atmosphere, you feel cozy and chill, but it's also a place you can dress up if you are feeling fancay! Please give them a try, you won't be disappointed!!

Absolutely delicious! As someone who is gluten-free and dairy-free, I love that Umami Noodle Bar offers so many amazing options that fit my diet without compromising on flavor. The variety of spice levels is a game-changer, letting me customize my meal just the way I like it. Not only is the food fresh and healthy, but this is also my go-to spot to work—the internet is fast, there are plenty of outlets, and the atmosphere is perfect for getting things done while enjoying a great meal. If you’re looking for the best gluten-free and dairy-free dining spot in Bangor, this is it! The curry broth with rice noodles is my go to!

I love Harvest Moon Deli! They make my gluten free sandwiches regularly and they taste great and don't make me sick (very important when you're celiac)!!
If we could give Charity ten stars we would! Awesome service and great food. Felt very safe and they were very accommodating with my gluten allergy. Thank you!
Place is kinda hidden but worth looking for! Amazing sandwiches and they had gluten free selection for my daughter !

The service is fantastic. Staff is always courteous, patient and above all warm and friendly. I’ve been coming to Chimera for coffee once every other week or so for the three past years. Never had anything but a positive experience. Coffee is fantastic. Their gluten free zucchini bread and other GF baked goods are beyond reproach. Due to dietary restrictions I cannot speak for other goods but cannot imagine they are anything but delicious. Anyone who isn’t happy with the coffee, baked goods, ambience and staff at Chimera should certainly take a long hard look in the mirror. Moving at the end of this month. Chimera is one Bangor establishment that I will certainly miss.
Favorite coffee shop during our visit. They are quick but friendly. They remembered us from our first visit. The Chai tea is very yummy and we love their breakfast sandwiches. They Gluten Free English muffins so I can eat a breakfast sandwich! We love sitting by the window and people watching

We had a great supper. This restaurant has been without a GM for quite sometime. The new manager who has worked there prior, is experienced, competent and knows how to address the public in these hard situations. From what I witnessed, she really supports her staff who seem to have been struggling without a GM.
A gluten free issue was resolved super fast.
My place to go for a chicken sandwich. The line moves fast for a busy place and the workers are super nice. Food is consistent and tasty. Downside would be no gluten free options.
Gluten free ... Chicken Parm ..not good. Really spicy and salty. Potatoes equally salty and over cooked..kind of a burnt taste. Waited a very long time to get food. The Cesar salad was barely anything on the plate. Brought it out with croutons... Had to take it back and get new next to nothing salad. Couldn't eat the dinner either as the spiciness and salt prevented me from eating more than a few bites. Server was hardly interested in us or the need for gluten free. Though he was nice when he was around. Won't be back... And am currently hoping I don't get ill from eating where they say they do gluten free well... But proved to me that they don't.
Enjoy a creative menu with impressive specials and top-notch dishes that will leave you thoroughly impressed.

We had dinner last night there. Great food and service. We all were impressed with the menu and specials. I had butternut/apple soup and sliders they served on a gluten free bun. The crew had blackened fish tacos, seafood parmesan linguine, breakfast burger. All top notch! Very gluten friendly.
I have celiac, this is one of the few casual places I can guarantee that they will listen. I come in regularly and they ask if I want my usual. Very friendly and down to earth staff.

For Parents with Allergies/gluten-free in family,
This is a fantastic place to go! They are very transparent in their ingredients and cooking methods. They will even go above and beyond to make sure your allergy needs are met. For example, they notified us that their fries are used in same oil as the chicken. They offered to heat fries in the oven as an alternative method to meet allergy needs!
The manager here is absolutely involved with her restaurant! She has worked every front-of-house role during our visit from hosting to waiting tables. She really cares for her guests and I appreciate a hard working manager.
A very well run restaurant! The food was AMAZING! We had the brisket and half chicken. The brisket was so tender and cooked to perfection. The chicken was moist and flavorful.
Also!!!!! They have an area where the kids can play while the adults can hold a decent conversation (as many parents know what that is like with kids at the table). And also, did I mention, they have an axe throwing area!!! Forget your billards (pool) or dart throwing restaurants. Try throwing an axe at the target!
They also have a decent bar area for those that are looking for a drink after work or out with friends.
You know, I must say, it was hard finding a restaurant that I liked in Bangor, ME. I finally found one and truly enjoy everything about the place. Kind of left me with a nostalgic feeling of what a TRUE AMERICAN restaurant was like before America had taken a turn for the worst these past few years. Will definitely be going back for many years to come God-willing.

I finally made it to Sawyer’s on a visit to Bangor after a number of recommendations from local friends/family and it lives up to the hype. Sawyer’s was delicious and authentic to the Hawaiian shave ice I had on a trip to Maui.
This would be a great place to go with a group. Shave ice is very allergy friendly. It’s gluten free, peanut free, vegan, and Sawyer’s also offers dye-free natural syrups. You can even get a free shave ice (no syrup) for your dog! There were about six people in line in front of me when I arrived, but service was fast and friendly.
I LOVE their branding and left with a super soft t-shirt, some stickers, and a very functional tote. I couldn’t resist their mascot!
I can’t wait to go back. I hope they open up more locations soon—we’d love to see one in Portland!

We went for our anniversary while on holiday in Maine! This was listed as a good hot spot on Reddit and we were very excited to try it. The host greeted us with a happy anniversary. The server was fantastic and quick to offer help and suggestions.
The menu has lots of options for those in need of gluten free, dairy free, vegan and or vegetarian options which is amazing.
Overall, we were so impressed with our dinner and the service. The staff was so friendly and welcoming.
