Coffee is good, matcha was yummy. Gluten free and regular fresh pastries and other food. Staff is awesome. Good prices. Did go back and would make this my regular spot if I lived here. Really cool, artsy, hippie kind of vibes. Big outdoor covered space and cozy indoors. Couch, chess, books, items for sale, etc...

Little Toad Creek offers a great atmosphere with a quiet, open side room that features games, including darts, pinball, and a pool table, and space for families and groups to spread out in without disturbing patrons in the main dining area. Staff are friendly and patient with dietary restrictions and kid energy.
I understand that the Little Toad Creek doesn’t run with vegans in mind, and I appreciate that the servers and kitchen staff were willing to remove ingredients to accommodate my dietary preferences. The menu does a decent job of listing ingredients, but it doesn’t have detailed allergen information.
When I asked our server what she could recommend for a vegan, she pointed me towards the Hungry Hippie. The vegetarian-friendly Hungry Hippie's portobello was well prepared and had a great texture, but without a vegan alternative for the several cheeses described on the menu, I definitely missed the intended experience. The brioche bun contains dairy, and I was told I'd need to pay $2 for a dairy-free bun when the gluten-free bun was listed at 75 cents on the menu and is what I believe I was ultimately served. The bun I ate was powdery and not very pleasant; the bed of greens would have been a better option, but it wasn't highlighted by our server. I wouldn't recommend the Hungry Hippie for a vegan but expect it would be pretty solid for a vegetarian. The cajun fries that came with my order had cajun salt liberally sprinkled over them, but it flavored the plate more than the fries. I think the best a vegan could do these days at Little Toad Creek is to go for the house salad and hold the feta, which is a bit of a let down.
The staff were solid and the atmosphere was great, but I can’t recommend the food to a vegan as it stands, and there may not be enough vegan customers to warrant more accommodation.

OH MY GOD THEY JUST ADDED NEW FLAVORS!!!! Their dark chocolate is a fave of mine, but I think it’s been beaten by their new lemon poppyseed!!!! And even better, it’s gluten free!!! Sooo many lemon poppyseed ice creams aren’t for some reason, so having one that is (ESPECIALLY AT AN ICONIC LOCAL PLACE) is THE BEST!!!
Also, their kids toys are adorable. I’m a college student but who cares, the selection is amazing, the dolls, the trucks, the stickers- omg guys the stickers!!!
Yall are gonna love it here, the people who work here are so chill and kind :)

Located in a 100+ year old former Office (1914) & adjacent Coal Transfer & Storage buildings (1907), this one of a kind restaurant, a tiny bit off the beaten path, is definitely worth seeking out & experiencing if you are visiting (or live in!) Silver City.
Our Server/Slash/Cashier, Hannah is a very pleasant, gentle spirit. We ordered 2 meals from the daily special board; an asparagus, mushroom & gouda Fritatta that was absolutely divine as it melted in the mouth. As airy as any soufflé with clearly distinct flavors of each of the main ingredients. The other dish was a "warmed on the grill" sandwich, I believe it was called The Big Piggy on homemade bread with the perfectly baked crusty crust & soft "insides", made from various pork products (sorry I forget exactly what they were) & melted cheese. Both dishes were served with a homegrown mescal salad & lemon vinaigrette dressing, the perfect accent.
"Dining In" is actually a dining outdoors in the back of the building experience. I believe there were about 10 tables that can seat about 30 people total. You can visit their raised bed organic garden growing peppers, tomatoes, chives, and other vegan & gluten free veggies.
Water is self-serve, "all you can drink" from a thermal dispenser outside, it had a very clean taste, no particles or metal flavors noted.
I believe each dish was around $11.75, which seems to be the going rate for most of the items on the menu. Total bill for 2 with taxes & 1 bottled beverage was $28.80+$6 tip = $35-ish. The superb quality of the ingredients & cooking preparations made this a place well worth spending this amount for a lunch for 2.
Currently, Spring/Summer 2023, it is open 5 days a week Thursday through Monday, serving breakfasts & lunches from 09:30a - 2:30p. Since dining in is dining outside, I do not know what days/hours they keep when the weather turns cold, phone to check in the winter & late fall.
One last note. If you park facing uphill in front of the restaurant on S. Bullard, you need to do a turn around in the driveway of the business across the street to leave the location as the top of the hill on S. Bullard turns into a One Way street, and you will be going the wrong way 😉. klee

Super pleased! This was our first experience with Papa Johns Pizza delivery. Not only do they offer gluten-free crust, but it was super easy to order from the website and tasty to boot. The order arrived a good half hour earlier than anticipated and the delivery person was very professional and friendly and the entire order was correct.

Food was hit or miss depending on plate. Husband had a chicken pasta dish which he enjoyed. I got the steak special with a Asian sauce and found the steak to be grisly and flat.
Fries with various dips was delicious. The high point of the meal was the gluten-free chocolate ganache.
The opera house connected to the restaurant was built in 1860's and it's interesting in itself to check out.
