I was disappointed that I believed all the great reviews of this café! I ordered the frisée salad, which looked nothing like the pictures shown in these reviews and also was overdressed, too salty and full of sand. You read that right. Nothing crunches like sand except for sand. My husband’s wrap was 90% lettuce and a very small amount of greasy chicken thigh. A gluten-free biscuit is a gluten-free biscuit I suppose, but the one containing my daughter’s BLT left something to be desired. As far as service goes, after we had already ordered and paid for our food, the cashier told us that the chef was out, and we’d have to wait til he returned. All in all, we were pretty disappointed, two thumbs down.
Charming cafe with a bright atmosphere, freshly baked goodies, and a great coffee selection, perfect for a cozy break during your adventures.

Overall would recommend for healthy, gluten-free/vegan/vegetarian options!
Service was SO incredibly friendly from order to delivery at the table. They clearly care about their customers' experience and is a major reason I'd visit again.
Coffee = 10/10 (and I'm picky)
Pastries = 10/10 (thank you for a GF option!)
Food = 8/10
Huevos Scorcheros was pretty good. I could've maybe added a little salt and was a tad surprised by the small size of the dish -- I got the large, which was only an extra egg and it was less than 1/2 the size of a Chipotle burrito bowl if that's any indication. Had the smallest amount of cheese...I almost forgot it was supposed to be in there, but saw a few shreds. LOL. I would get it again and maybe add 1-2 extra ingredients. The gluten free toast was $1 up-charge, which I wasn't aware of, but it was totally worth it. That was THE BEST GLUTEN FREE TOAST I have ever had.
Breakfast burrito was a little on the dry and bland side, and seemed to be missing the cheese. (This seems to be a theme.) Would not get this again.

A consistent classic diner breakfast spot with gluten free toast and gluten friendly pancakes available. My go to pick is the Junior Plate, but if really hungry will get the Bacon and Eggs. Tried the Kielbasa Skillet with smoked chicken kielbasa substituting hollandaise sauce for the country gravy and would order this again but rarely since it was rich. The Marionberry syrup is a favorite for pancakes, but they also have sugar free maple syrup available. A great choice for large groups with indoor seating only. All locations are extremely popular and can get busy, but is worth the wait.
Charming outdoor picnic area with twinkling lights at night, great quality burgers, and delicious creamy custard make it a must-visit spot!

We ate great food, but the lady at the window grew very easily frustrated when she asked her older lady coworker in the back about gluten-free options and that really threw us for a loop. She literally yelled at the lady who was asking the question to “tell them we have what we have, that’s what we’ve got and that’s it. “ I had my family with me from out of town, I was telling them how great of a place it was and that really threw everybody for a loop and kind of soured the mood a little bit. We were wondering if she thought, maybe we couldn’t hear her, but at the high volume and the level of frustration that came out of her, there was no way that she didn’t know that we could hear her. Please do better. It was rude and unexpected why that response occurred- but we had a good experience otherwise. Thank you for reading.
Enjoy a lively atmosphere and a great selection of drinks, making it a perfect spot for a fun night out with friends.

GF pizza is used to be amazing! Now it’s really bad.
Giving a 3 because I’m assuming the normal pizza is still fine, and the service is good. Most people who go here are probably not gluten-free. But the new GF recipe deserves 1 star or less.
Fort George used to have our favorite GF pizza in the entire Portland/coast area. We would drive to the coast just to eat here — in fact, we did just that last night.
But as of November 2024 they’ve changed to a different crust and it is truly awful: lacking flavor, weirdly sweet and artificial, and because it’s so thin the rest of the ingredients don’t have enough time to bake. The cheese had no color and the mushrooms tasted raw. It gives school cafeteria vibes.
Beyond that, they still charge $6 to sub this crust which is insulting.
Unfortunately the pizza is bad enough that we will not be returning.

What can one really say? Simply the best all around grocery on the Oregon Coast, the fact that it’s also so vegan / gluten free / organic friendly is just a super major bonus! Greatest food quality outside of Sunday market and you find some of the same vendors at both! Great staff, beautiful new space and a company that took COVID seriously (big points in my book). I can’t say enough about our Coop! ♥️

Here's a review of a local coffee house bistro:
5++ out of 5 stars ⭐️
I had the pleasure of visiting the Astoria Coffeehouse & Bistro in downtown Astoria. I was thoroughly impressed with the vibes, energy and variety of pastries, including gluten-free options. It felt so warm and welcoming of an atmosphere to enjoy a meal or just a cup of your favorite coffee. The decor was a mix of modern, artsy and internationally acquired pieces. So many different seating areas were available from dark and cozy to warm with plenty of natural light.
They have multiple menu boards to satisfy the daily drip coffee drinker or even the most advanced hot elixir conneseur. Large jugs of fresh water are stationed as soon as you step through the door. And if you’re a bit more adventurous, they also have a chic bar to the left of the service counter. Bar seating is available to enjoy a good conversation with the bartender.
The coffee was top-notch, with a wide variety of flavors and brewing methods to choose from. I opted for my usual drip coffee with cinnamon, cayenne pepper and honey. This is one of the few places that offer that combination of spices to lift the Samurai foodie’s spirit.
The pastry selection was also impressive, with delicious chocolate/almond/ regular croissants, assorted macaroons, muffins and scones. You can even find freshly baked cookies and massive slices of chocolate, carrot or almond cake. It was great to also find many of the pastries were offered with a gluten-free option.
But what really sets this coffee house apart is the bistro menu. I ordered the biscuits & gravy ($10.95) and added a Bacon/egg sanwhich ($6.95). My order came with huge pair of wholesome biscuits from Table 360 Bakery & Bistro and a generous portion of gravy, Yum😋!! My sandwich was stuffed with thick, crispy, smokey bacon, melted cheese and fluffy scrambled eggs. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and drink.
I highly recommend you to visit them for a relaxing coffee break or a deliciously satisfying meal. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 💫

Great sushi and great atmosphere. There are plenty of gluten free options and a few vegetarian and vegan options as well. The kids menu was great and came with a large amount of food. The only thing that was not great was our waitress. She was very slow paced and took way too long to check on our table. Every other server was extremely efficient tho. We would have ordered more rolls if our table was checked on more often. Ill give a 5 star review as the other staff was amazing and I don’t believe that one inadequate server should take away a star. The sushi was fantastic quality. Definitely check them out!

Gourmet experience, affordable price! Lots and lots of gluten-free options. Very helpful staff. Honestly one of the best lunches I have ever had. The atmosphere is cozy in the back of the restaurant, nice and bright in the front. Pure delight.
We had:
GF Rogue quesadillas (oodles of blue cheese and buffalo chicken)
Chicken nachos (tasty, crispy, good barbecue sauce)
Curry Quesadilla (apples, walnuts, chicken, cheese, And the best damn honey mustard I’ve ever tasted in my life.)
Chips and salsa are great too, love the red white and blue chips, the salsa is fresh and cold and refreshing.
The gentleman who took our order was most helpful, professional and very sweet.
If I could give 10 stars I would! A word of warning, if you come here you’ll want to come back again and again.
Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options! Great food! Portion size is plenty! They are so friendly. Brought us over some free Miso soup! Which was delicious! Highly recommend

Wow...it took me way too long to try this place. But I guarantee it won't be long before I'm back!!!
Owner Randy is an absolute pleasure to talk to. He obviously takes pride in his mac craftsmanship & his role as a small business owner. It shows from the 1st bite and his theory on tipping. (Not allowed, because he prefers to pay his employees well & not have them have to beg customers for more money. Everyone is equal in Randy's eyes. And it truly felt like everyone mattered while we stood there chatting as my fresh gf pasta cooked.)
The portions are gigantic (I literally weighed mine when I got home & it registered at 5lbs! 🤯), but I should've known when Randy said, "I made you enough for dinner tonight & lunch tomorrow."
There are gluten free & dairy free options for the pasta & sauces, with a bazillion options for add ons.
Thank you, Randy. You're truly a great addition to our community. Can't wait to try the pizza! 💕

Very diverse menu with gigantic portions and a dozen specialty margaritas. I had the “dos amigos” with the garlic shrimp option (pictured), which was delicious (particularly the skirt steak with grilled scallions). Very family-friendly with a kids menu, immediate chips, salsa and beans, crayons for coloring and drinks with lids to cut down on the inevitable spills when dining with a preschooler. No troubles accommodating a gluten allergy at our table. Everyone in our party had a good time and enjoyed their meal.

Food was pretty good and decently priced, but they have very little gluten-free options. No, they don't have fried fish and chips that are gluten free, their fries are also not gluten-free. Waitress told me the salads, clam chowder, and grilled fish were gluten-free, but that was it. I went there since someone said they had many gluten-free options. Although the Hurricane Chowder was pretty good, I didn't really feel like soup on a hot day. The staff and restaurant were very nice.

Lovely people, nice spot on the water, and beautiful, smooth and silky lattes! They have a list of small-batch syrups and obviously put a lot of care into their drinks. The good vibes and gluten-free banana bread were a bonus!

I love this arcade - have been several times and it has the right balance of games, atmosphere & libations. I'm actually alcohol-free, and they have a big range of non-alcoholic brewed beverages including some gluten free cider options. Yes, that's just juice, but it tastes good and soothes the burn of not taking advantage of their great taplist. :) We just did our first Films With Benefits event - focused on Nick Cage - and despite the fact that we are NOT trivia buffs, NOT Nick Cage fanatics & were generally unprepared we had a great time. The vibe was first rate, the emcee engaging & good natured and everyone was having a great time. We bought our tickets for the next event before we left the venue! Has to be one of my favorite hang out spots in Astoria as of now.
Attention to detail shines here, with delicious innovations like a lettuce-wrapped burger making for a standout experience.

Loved our meal here. I have Celiac and was very pleased with their level of attention and care and gluten free options. Had the GOAT burger as a lettuce wrap and it was very delicious. I hope I'm in Astoria again so I can eat here again!
Stopped in here because my husband has a lot of food allergies and it seemed like they would have some simple prepped options for him. Our server was super nice, and very attentive to his food allergies. We were able to get him a full meal free of gluten, dairy, yeast, eggs, and soy, which is hard to come by. My meal was also amazing (definitely try the coconut prawns)s Highly recommend if you’re stopping by or through Astoria!
My daughter has a tree nut allergy and they were able to prepare an ice cream for her that did not come in contact with nuts. It was delicious. They have gluten-free options too if you needed.
With a simple menu, quick service, and amazing flavors, this spot is a must-visit gem that everyone hopes will stick around!

I wanted to include a picture with this review but it was so good and delicious looking I forgot. Good option for gluten free people. Simple menu and amazing taste. Quick turn during lunch hour and the guy/owner was rad. Hope this place sticks around for a long while.
*edit* 8/6/24. I did include a photo now that I’ve been back! Still amazing, still gluten free. I hope this spot never moves 💜

Great option for a sandwich in Astoria. Gluten free bread is available and sandwich fillings are fresh. Sandwiches automatically come with a pickle and either potato (gluten free) or macaroni salad. Just remember to get utensils and napkins on the table by the door before leaving. There is indoor and outdoor seating available as well as to go ordering. Soup, cold beverages and snacks for sale also.
I have gotten the cold Roast Beef Sandwich for hiking the Cathedral Tree trail and the toasted Roast Beef FTW Sandwich to picnic at the Column. Both were tasty and would order either again.
Kind employees and cool space! There were a ton of sea lions playing in the water and we had an awesome view of it! There are VERY limited options if you’re vegan, but a good amount of vegetarian options. Also gluten free pizza crust!
