When you just want a really good, juicy burger and all of the free pickles you want (something like five varieties to choose from), you can't beat Twisted Root. My favorite isn't actually even a burger, but rather the Tootsies Hot Chicken. Oh my stars, is it good! AND it's safe for folks with celiac disease and has an unbelievably delicious GF brioche bun. Mmmmmm

The food is on point! They have gluten free options which I appreciate. We went in for lunch and it was BUSY but we were seated quickly. The only issue was that we felt like the server only partially heard our order. We both asked for the spicy gyro plate, one with veggies and no pita. We got 1 regular and 1 spicy. No veg until we asked and the server took my tea glass to fill it up and disappeared for 5-10 minutes.
Even with the issues, the food is amazing and we will continue to keep this place in our rotation!
Enjoy a lively outdoor vibe with great live music and a cozy atmosphere while supporting a beloved local gem.

We absolutely loved the food! Great service from every worker. They even kept a list of items that weren’t gluten free. The outdoor atmosphere was great and they had live music. We will go back! Love supporting our small business.

Live their gluten free crust and that they make it special for those with allergies. They use separate tools and separate pie pans when baking and cutting your pizza. If you have am allergy just ask questions. They will look up any ingredients and let you know.

What an awesome surprise. Went searching for Gluten Free for one in my party and this place popped up. The guy at the counter was awesome and even helped to make sure the tater tots were also gluten free. The member in my party tells me it was the best gluten free bun she’d eaten. That said I loved the traditional bun, burgers were packed with flavor and the kids grilled cheese was huge. Great food! Great Service! Really cool atmosphere!
OVERALL: The meat is good and there are some gluten free options, but Babe's has some odd To-Go policies, the sides are not worth it, odd hours like how they close at 2 PM but reopen again at 5 PM on weekdays, and they have no delivery.
DINE-IN: Ate there alone the first time but I felt rushed as a single guest so I only get takeout now; perhaps they are more used to larger parties.
TAKEOUT: Their takeout is pretty good as long as you order in advance. Unfortunately, you can't order online, only in person or on the phone.
GLUTEN FREE: I'm glad they have gluten free options like the fried catfish and the smoked chicken,as well as all the sides, except the biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately, I'm not sure about any of the sauces being gluten free and, I know for a fact that, all their desserts are not gluten free either.
PRICES & QUALITY: I usually end up spending $20 and some change here. I usually get the fried catfish takeout without any of the sides because I don't think the sides are worth the price.
TO-GO: Be sure to try and finish as much of the sides as you can because taking anything to go other than the meat you have ordered is not allowed, it's kind of ridiculous. If you don't finish your meat they will let you put it in a flimsy plastic bag, not even a real To-Go Box. Basically getting anything To-Go is not worth it and, for convenience purposes, get takeout instead if, you want to take any food home.
ODD HOURS: For some reason, Babe's chicken has weekday hours are 11 AM - 2 PM, close, and then reopen from 5 PM - 9 PM, but on weekend days it's 11 AM - 9 PM with not closing in the middle of the day like on a weekday. It's very odd and inconvenient.
Oct. 26, 2022 Update: I still really dislike their business hours on the weekdays because I was fully willing to stop by at 4pm before I ran errands, but they don't open until 5pm. It's just really awkward and inconvenient how they close from 2pm to 5pm during weekdays.

Actually the worst, most tasteless, hard and skimpy $24 pizza I’ve ever had. Spent an extra $5.50 to get gluten friendly dough which apparently meant less toppings and flavor. There was almost 4 inches of NO TOPPINGS just bread on one part of the pizza. The pizza doesn’t even take up much of the box (see all the space in the bottom). When mentioning to the staff the pizza looked a little bare, the woman helping us rolled her eyes and had an attitude. Will never be going again. Absolutely a joke of a pizza. Lost business for sure.
Went here yesterday for a gluten-free burrito bowl. Since I'm allergic to wheat and gluten I asked the server if she could wash her hands and change her gloves. Instead of helping us she went to the back and went on a water break. The other server with blonde hair kept saying she was washing her hands but We seen her chatting and having a water break as the line grew closer to the door. Chipotle you have a great gluten-free protocol. Please educate your employees on how to use it!!!
Spotless vibes, lively K-pop tunes, and quick service set this place apart for a casual bite before events.

The food was great! I especially enjoyed the noodles and beef. Food came out quickly amd was fresh.
Service was not bad, just nothing fancy and not very attentive. The atmosphere is fine, very clean!
Bathrooms were clean as well.
Did not see alcohol on the menu.
Plenty of gluten free options.
You could make keto options work.
Kid friendly. Great to grab a bite at before an event.

Thank you Jonathan and Grace for making our lunch today such a wonderful experience. You both were so helpful especially where my Gluten-Free needs were concerned. You both made our first lunch out (in a very long time) very enjoyable.
The GF Shrimp Tacos were great as was the Guacamole and baked Tortilla Chips.
We sincerely appreciated your special efforts 👍😉

We loved our experience with Sugar Bee Sweets for our wedding! From the tasting to our final cake, working with them was a breeze. We ended up with a three-tiered cake, 9in cake, and a dozen gluten-free cupcakes. The tiered cake was everything we wanted, incorporating our wedding colors perfectly. Our guests loved the tea and honey flavor! I'll definitely be going back to Sugar Bee Sweets!

I had a mostly lovely experience. The guest wi-fi, food, and atmosphere were all at a professional level. My server was ever so nice, but he did get my entrée order wrong. They tried their best to accommodate my gluten free needs and they were able to find some dishes on each menu for me, this allowed me to have a full course dining experience. I sipped on the Spiked Blueberry Lemonade Cocktail, enjoyed the Curry Carrot Soup of the day as an appetizer, (I wanted to have the Pecan Benedict but) I wrongly recieved the Tradition Eggs Benedict (without the muffin thankfully) for my main entree, and finished off with their Creme Brulee for my dessert. Each dish was lovely with each flavor and texture hitting the mark, I just wish I had really gotten the Pecan Crab Benedict that I initially ordered. I might be coming back in the future.

Here on OPENING DAY 3/9/2023, the small storefront is clean, well lit, and has a bathroom available, plus indoor seating with plently of napkins. I ordered gluten free chocolate chip cookies and they were perfectly warm, gooey, and tasty with and without milk; they weren't overly sweet too. My only criticism they don't have salt available, which is a shame, since sweet cookies are usually elevated by an extra dash of saltiness to finish.
I'll probably be coming back because this will be the only place in downtown that will regularly have Gluten Free Chocolate chip cookies at the ready.

This probably one of the better places to get coffee and tea around the UTA campus, but their loose leaf tea options are lacking despite the diversity that their website suggests; they don't carry the Jasmine green tea here, for example. There is no student discount, for obvious reasons, so it's a little bit more expensive to buy from this brand on campus. They have indoor seating that includes a few tables right next to the storefront.
What they lack in Tea options, however, is made up through their diverse snack and bottled/canned drink options. I also can say that the service on campus seems to be a bit friendlier.
To my delight, this location also had gluten free options, like the gluten free coffee doughnuts and the gluten free pumpkin loaf, when I visited.
Overall, I would say that it is a decent option if you are on the East side of UTA and are unwilling to go off campus.
UPDATE: (10-14-22) Gluten free bread and tortillas have been added at no extra cost, WHAT A WIN! I cannot wait to finally have hot food from here when I am in a pinch.
1/21 - Still pricey per portion, SOME gluten free options exist (outside of some drinks), but they are prepackaged and not freshly cooked. Atmosphere was nice.
Opening week review: Pricey for the portions, also no gluten free options outside of some drinks :c atmosphere was nice though

We used Inspirations for our wedding catering on June 18, and they went above and beyond at our out-of-town venue in Blum, Texas with no problems. Their food was outstanding—everyone went on and on about how great it was! They made a custom menu based on our favorite flavors, and they had no problem handling vegetarian, vegan, and gluten food preferences/allergies. Our tasting pre-wedding was SO FUN (and obviously delicious), and they let us try several options to pick from and explained the pricing of each clearly. Overall, they are a wholesome group of people who are experts at what they do. I highly recommend booking them for your event!

Great Arlington spot if you’re a foodie! Charcuterie board, mussels and crispy pork were freaking amazing. Like crack on crack! We didn’t care for the flavor of the braised short ribs, but everything else was crazy good.
Bonus: they have a pretty good range of gluten free options.

This is a small restaurant tucked into a strip mall shopping center. It has the typical family owned restaurant feel of many Asian restaurants I have visited in the past. The parking lot has plenty of room, the restaurant is small, but seating is adequate. We went on a Saturday night and there were no more than a dozen people in the restaurant. The seating was available for more than double that. The lady who greeted us was helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The food was great and we didn’t have to wait very long. We were able to customize our meals without difficulty.
An error was made on my order and it was quickly corrected. What was most noticeable about how it was handled, was the courteous and professional attitude. There was no unnecessary discussion or blaming of anyone, but it was simply corrected without any drama. I appreciated how it was handled.
I ordered the Thai fried rice with chicken and beef. They offer seasoning that is rated 1 thru 5, with 5 being the hottest. I ordered 3 to play it safe. It was about as hot as a hot picante sauce. I don’t mind more seasoned food, so next time I will order a little more heat.
My wife is on a gluten free diet, which wasn’t a problem. She also is on a ketogenic diet, which also wasn’t a problem. One of our party is a vegetarian, and they offer foods that fit his needs, as well.
Acoustics are nice and not too noisy.
The price was quite reasonable.
This was a nice experience and we will definitely return.
