What an amazing experience to eat at the Original Kerbey Lane.
We walked in and where immediately greeted and seated.
James was our server whom educated that this is the original Kerbey Lane that opened in 1980!
Love his hospitality!
The inside is so clean and has the most amazing art décor hanging all over the walls.
The menu and food is what you would expect for Vegan Gluten Free options.
I ordered:
Vegan Breakfast Platter (VG)
Two Dr. Praeger’s veggie patties & tofu scramble topped with green onions & fresh diced tomatoes. Served with two half size vegan vanilla swirl pancakes.
Cost $12.99
I started with the Tofu scramble and veggie patties they both were full of flavors. My pallet was extremely happy with the texture to the tofu scramble. The veggie patties to me where a bit too soft and could have been cooked a bit longer so the inside was not mushy.
The two Vegan Gluten Free Vanilla Swirl Pancakes are the BEST and I mean the BEST pancakes I have ever eaten. They were fluffy moist and full of flavor. If you were not aware these are vegan and gluten free and wow I am honestly speechless at the texture the taste the way the cinnamon vanilla swirl enhanced the pancakes in a way that they were extremely sweet. To a point I had to take them home to finish. What an amazing tasting dish!!!
My friend ordered:
French Toast Platter* (V)
Two slices of French toast, two eggs any style & choice of all natural bacon, sausage or seasonal fresh fruit. $12.29
They advised that the French toast was cooked to perfection full fluffy and not egg tasting. They ordered over easy eggs which where cooked perfectly. The seasonal fruit however was not good. The honeydew and cantaloupe were not ripe and the strawberry's felt rubbery to a point I spat the strawberry out as soon as I took a bite of it. We both tried the fruit to ensure that they were definitely not ripe, and that the texture was off.
The cleanliness is off the charts as well as the service.
Overall this was an amazing experience and the food overall was exceptional minus the fruit!
With an energetic yet romantic vibe, this spot offers stunning dining experiences and top-notch service, making each visit special.

I can't believe I didn't try Uchiko sooner. Anna was a fantastic server and the food was amazing. My boyfriend and I wanted to keep the bill around $200, so I was worried we wouldn't get enough food. I had to unbutton my pants on the way home.
We're pretty indecisive, so we took Anna up on her offer to curate a menu for us based on our budget and likes/dislikes. Every single bite of the 9-course dinner was perfect. We got all our favorites (most of which we didn't mention - it felt like she was reading our minds), plus plenty of unique things that I never would've thought to order but turned out to be incredible. She checked in regularly to see what we liked so she could pick the next courses. Our feedback probably wasn't very helpful because we loved everything.
I mentioned my gluten intolerance in the reservation. Anna addressed it as soon as we were seated and went over the gluten-free options. The vast majority of the menu items were either gluten-free or could be modified. It really stood out to me that the food runners all specified that each dish they served was gluten-free. I didn't have to spend the meal worrying about miscommunications.
Our experience was on par with the Michelin-star restaurants I used to go to when I lived in NYC, but for a fraction of the price. Obviously the food was perfect. But what really set this experience apart was the service. I can't say enough good things about Anna, the bartenders, and the rest of the FOH staff. Everyone went above and beyond to take care of us and make us feel welcomed.
We love coming here for a tasty lunch or dinner with the kids in a family owned tranquil environment. I’m gluten free (celiac) and they always take excellent care of me - gluten free pasta and even gluten free meatballs!!
Delicious tacos with creative fillings and a wide salsa selection make this spot a must-try for taco lovers in Austin.

The best tacos in Austin. The mashed potatoes (papas, as they call them) in tacos are a genius idea! I almost always get the breakfast tacos, but there is a huge selection of lunch offerings as well. They boast a large salsa selection and you can tell they put thought into their salsa offerings (rather than the one variety of salsa many places offer). Their queso is solid, but not a menu highlight. If you have dietary restrictions like vegetarian or gluten free (or both like I do!), this is a great place to go, because there are so many choices; it is also a great place to go with friends as there is something for everyone. The one downside is that the tacos are small, especially for corn tortillas, which means you have to buy one extra than you would normally buy at other places (which is not a problem necessarily, but just something to bear in mind when ordering).
This surfer chain belongs in this tiny “strip mall” / gas station center. It is tiny and barely furnished.
The menu is simple and direct.
This place has ruined me on poke anywhere else in this town. I have brought two Hawaii dwellers and they are both poke snobs. This place impressed them and is now their poke spot too!
If they have it or can they will do dietary accommodations. They even have Tamari for gluten free folks.
Great place for a nice coffee, a quick bite, or a little meeting. More gluten free options would be nice but very friendly staff, great coffee, and not crowded.
A charming gem with a warm atmosphere, where exceptional dishes and heartfelt service create a truly delightful dining experience.

My husband and I adore Gusto! The food is delicious, made with love, at a high culinary level. I am gluten-intolerant, so I appreciate their yummy GF pizza and pasta options. The Gusto staff is amazing too; they treat us like family! The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is lovely; we are comforted by the food and by the kindness of the Gusto staff. I highly recommend Gusto; it is a gem!
Not sure why I haven't written my review before but I've been coming to Budare's for over a year now. My fiance and I do food truck friday's at least once a month and this is our go-to. The owner is incredibly friendly and as a fellow Venezuelan living in Austin, it's so great to have someone one cook food that tastes so amazing that it makes me feel like I was back in my home country. She also has gluten free and vegan options! There is not a single thing on her menu I dislike (and I've tried/had everything haha) I would give Budare's a million stars if I could. Budare's is BY FAR the BEST Venezuelan food truck in Austin.
Everytime we come to Austin we stop to order from here and never are disappointed! I have also never had any type of stomach issues eating here with Celiac Disease!

My favorite Thai place in Austin right now.
The Pad Thai and the curries are all awesome with GREAT serving sizes.
Also super friendly dude always working here!
Most of the food is gluten free, too.
I did a pick up for the first time. Everything was wrapped and ready to go when I got there.
The Gluten free soup option they have is just amazing. So glad to have this option

I come here for their good deals on lunch items: “the carve”(lump crab meat, grilled asparagus, and butter) served like a hot salad with the cauliflower cheese flat bread.
It was decadent and made me feel full with leftovers of a full meal. The cheese bread is filling. It is made with cauliflower, spices, and egg. No flour at all. So completely gluten free.
The butcher station is front and center like a high end Fudrucker’s… I would love to come back for the Friday $19 8oz NY Strip special.
Or the Thursday night prime rib special. I am saying I love their deals.
The bartender Andrew is professional and knowledgeable. Very helpful.
