Tonight was my 1st night going to Macaroni Joe's and it was fantastic. My Wife had the Gluten free surf and turf tortellini and I had the nachos neopolitan. Both were great. I went in here today after lunch at Chicken Salad Chick and I was so pleased at the smell as soon as you walk in. They have a vast selection of cookies, macaroons and other goodies. I'm always skeptical when I see places that advertise gluten-free or more healthy options. I've been burned too many times. Not only does this place have a great atmosphere (light and warm) the cookies and macaroons were everything i hoped they would be. The Macaroons were light and savory and the cookies have the perfect slight crunch to them. They basically melted in my mouth. I have never felt better after eating sweets. Im not weighed down and feeling miserable from a sugar overload. I'm definitely coming back when I come to Amarillo. They are pricier than you would anticipate but for the experience you get when you enjoy the sweets it is definitely worth it. Also, the cookies are huge. Like almost 4 in. In diameter.

Here's the thing... I have lived here almost two years without knowing they have gluten free bagels & bread! My FIL wanted to try something different, so I called.
We have eaten here twice & I have not had any CC symptoms. The GF bagel is fantastic. (I haven't tried the bread yet.) They use Boars Head for sandwiches, so I will have to try it sometime soon.

This location proved a reliable Jason's location. Food quality was excellent as expected. A member of my party ordered gluten-free food and the staff exercised proper precautions in preparing that meal. The location has several rooms so there is plenty of seating. The restrooms were also very clean. Perhaps best of all for some customers, the ice cream machine had all three options (chocolate, vanilla, and swirl) available--not always common for a Jason's.

The place was very clean and professional. The food was awesome however if your celiac don’t eat the prime rib soup it is not gf. Unless the bread they served with it wasn’t gf. There’s also worries of cross contamination. Whatever the reason there was an instant reaction to something not right.

We stopped by here after stopping for night in Amarillo, the girls working were so sweet, the coffee was delicious, and BONUS they had gluten free banana bread. The girls offered to heat the bread it was really good!! The atmosphere is a nice vibe with great music, and they have glass mugs, nothing worse than coffee out of paper cup.

Very glad we chose this over other local steakhouse options for a meal with the family. No trouble parking or making a reservation, and the space was clean with ample booth seating. Our server, Kat, was delightful and knew the answers to all of our questions – even the picky gluten free / vegetarian ones 😅
The food really impressed. My dad loved his steak, peppery and perfectly cooked. Sister’s chicken tasted great and there were multiple steamed vegetable sides to balance the meal. I really enjoyed my breaded catfish and grilled shrimp, and the hush puppies were delicious! The steamed spinach and broccoli were both so much tastier than anticipated, especially for a steak house in Texas 🤫
I recommend trying it if you’re looking for a local joint with great food and great service. Hope to go back before we leave town!
