Good amount of gluten-free options, including actually-good GF toast (still rare!), and a selection of desserts. The service and atmosphere were lovely. The prices were a bit steep for the type of food and drink offered, but ultimately, it was understandable given the location and likely overhead costs.
My favorite food item was the mushroom-beet toast. Haven't had anything like it before, and I was pleasantly surprised!
The food was delicious! The happy hour sangria was yummy and a great deal! Our server and the manager were welcoming and our food was brought out in a reasonable time. The bread as an appetizer was also very tasty. The bathroom was clean (which says a lot for someone visiting a restaurant for the first time). I also appreciate the history of the restaurant being that it has been in Kansas City for almost five decades and enjoy reading about how the restaurant came about and has stayed in business. This also says a lot about the food and the service being they have stayed in business for so long. There are gluten free options which my mom appreciated. The salad was yummy and so was the ham and bean soup. I also really appreciated that the parking was free and there were plenty of spots. This is not always the case in a downtown area. Good portions as well. I'm looking forward to the leftovers for my lunch as I write this review.
Yard House is an absolute gem, especially for gluten-free diners! I had their gluten-free burger with special sauce, and it was hands down the best gluten-free burger I’ve ever had. The patty was juicy, and the gluten-free bun was perfectly soft and held together well, which is rare! The special sauce added such a delicious touch, and everything about the meal was spot on. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for a great gluten-free meal, Yard House is definitely the place to go! Highly recommend!
Had informed my waitress I was celiac and need everything gluten free. Ordered the BLT taco asking to make it gluten free, waitress didn’t inform me that it can’t be made gluten free. The taco came out and I was unaware it still had beer battered bacon on it. I took a bite and realized it wasn’t safe.
I’m now dealing with the consequences of eating gluten as someone with Celiac. In addition, my family member had ordered something and requested no sauce. That request also wasn’t met, it came out with sauce.

It was really close, but our group agree The Melting Pot was #1 of the four restaurants we visited.
Great location. I wish we found it sooner. Love the atmosphere, had a fun shaded outdoor deck area, and an awesome beer and cocktail selection that are yummy. They even had a gluten free section. We will be back when in town.
My unit at work (about 30-40) met here for lunch before a company meeting. There is ample seating inside and outside. There are two floors with seating and food choices on each floor. There is a large variety in the types of foods. Some options are Mediterranean, Mexican, pizza, and burgers.
There are also bars on both floors with many options. My coworkers seemed to be able to order their favorite drinks. I was very pleased that they could make me a mocktail with a blackberry syrup and tonic water. It was delicious!
I looked at all the menus and there were several gluten free and dairy free options.
Deeeeeelicious wine. Everyone in our group enjoyed everything they had. The plum wine is perfectly tart and the arabesque is the summer favorite for sure. It's like if a moscato and a riesling had a love child- hands down a favorite wine for! tho Harmony of Golds were also really enjoyed- again- they don't have a bad wine in the bunch. The space is a warehouse in the bottoms- so brick walls and open large space felt really great to sit in as the sun just cascaded thru the windows. Oh and the flatbread pizzas were very good! Even the gluten free one! We always take bottles home when visiting this one. Highly recommend.
