Gluten free and allergen conscious paradise!! Very kind staff and delicious food! They have tons of gf products for sale as well as lots of freshly made savory and sweet baked goods AND an entire menu to choose a full meal from. We got their foccacia, chicken cutlet and fries, hamburger, and tiramisu. Sooo good!! I LOVED the chicken cutlet and fries. Would love to know how they made the chicken so I can make something similar at home. Highlight of our time in Bari, thank you!

We discovered this place because it is certified AIC for a celiac person. What can I say, a wonderful surprise as we returned several times in a week. This restaurant is clearly a tourist trap. I had my suspicions when I saw the extremely long menu, and this was confirmed when I saw the pizzas arrive. They are clearly the worst pizzas I've ever eaten in Italy (you can find better ones in my country), and the spritzes were very poorly measured. I don't believe for a single second that the ingredients were fresh and local, and the regular and gluten-free pasta may be homemade, but it's clearly not mastered (very crumbly, little flavor, unpleasant texture in the mouth). To the owner, I hope I've provided enough detail in my review to avoid a mocking response, which would be a real sign of a lack of self-reflection. It seems obvious to me that almost all of the positive comments about the restaurant were made by tourists who know nothing about true Italian gastronomic culture. The only positive point of the restaurant is that the prices are quite affordable, which is a good thing considering the quality of the food and drinks offered.

The most amazing gf Puccia, I had their most popular, octopus, tomatoes, rocket and burrata. The octopus was very fresh, grilled, with a nice char to it, not dry at all. The best gf bread I have had, soft, not dry, lightly toasted, full of flavor, and as fresh as could be. The staff are superb, very friendly happy to explain everything in detail. The prices are very fair, EUR1.5 extra for gf, but worth every cent. There are about 6 tables outside to sit and eat at. Quite a few locals called by to order their lunch - always a good sign in my opinion. If your are coeliac or just gluten intolerant, do yourself a favour and try this place you will not be disappointed.

Unfortunately mine cannot be a good review given that we only went to this place because they are part of the certified gluten-free places. Even though I had declared several times that I was celiac, I was given normal bread. And since I had doubts I asked for confirmation that the bread was suitable and was told that I could eat it, only to discover that it was not suitable. I find this superficial attitude very serious given that for me it is not a whim but a question of health! Furthermore, perhaps the AIC should monitor the certified premises a little more. Obviously an experience to forget.

This bakery was a great little find that’s both gluten and lactose free. Bought a large number of items, both sweet and savoury and everything tasted amazing! Highly recommend. No seating as it’s take away only.

A beautiful discovery! I celebrated my graduation here. The owners are extraordinary and very kind people, they even prepared a cake for me at the last moment (requested for lunch that same evening). The appetizers left us speechless, due to the imagination of the dishes, the presentation and their goodness! The first courses have unique and truly high-level flavours. The ingredients are excellent. The mixed grill was also enjoyed by many guests. Furthermore, the natural wines offered on the menu are one better than the other. My sister who has celiac disease was so happy to be able to eat whatever was on the menu! Well done!!! I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a nice culinary trip!

kela Bistrot is a place where you feel at home even 1000km away. We discovered this restaurant last year, looking for a place that guaranteed options for celiacs, and having returned to this magnificent city again this year we decided to let 2 of our friends who were not with us the previous year taste one of their specialities, spaghetti all'assassina. Our expectations were not disappointed, on the contrary. The manager of the restaurant, a young and very nice guy, advised us and pampered us. We had a mixed appetizer with cold and hot tastings which literally amazed us with the quality of the raw materials and the combinations. Followed by the long-awaited spaghetti all'assassina, in their variant with mussels. Eye and palate had their satisfaction. The list of drinks to accompany the meal is also very interesting and sophisticated. The final treat (bitter and sweet tarallini with almond) is top marks. Highly recommended

We happened on this place for lunch one day and I'm so glad we did!. We were a party of 5, were seated in a great shady spot outside right away. The food was excellent! we had caprese salad, risotto , lasagne bolognese and GF lasagne and spumone for dessert. Everything was excellent! In fact, the comment from my daughter for the rest of our vacation was...I could eat that lasagne for breakfast lunch and dinner for the rest of my life! when I tell you we at every crumb of every dish we had. And 2 in our party have celiac and raved about the GF lasagne. Great service and great prices. It's the perfect little Italian cafe. I am now home in NJ craving the lasagne and caprese salad and a dish of spumone for dessert! Buen apetito! Trust me.
