Superb gluten-free options on the menu. The best gluten free pizza and cookies. An excellent small grocery area, as well. Staff are amazing. I work a very physically demanding job and always feel great and energized for my day after eating here.
I just love your Gluten free and Vegan donuts! I appreciate you making gluten free and vegan donuts! It’s usually just one or the other. I tell all my allergy friends about your shop!
I've been going to this restaurant almost every weekend for a couple years now and I have no idea why I haven't written a reveiw for it yet.
10/10 for everything, every time I go there. Food is always spectacular and the staff are phenomenal. The menu is uniquely diverse and as someone with a gluten intolerance, they cater quite well to individuals with dietary needs. Their food presentation is always 5 star, and constantly far above every other breakfast place in Cambridge. I would recommend coming in before 9am, because afterward the place is incredibly busy and for good reason. 100% worth going.
Michelle was wonderful!! She suggested a fabulous mango margaritas and great wine matching with our meals. She knew everything about all the menus options, including great adaptations for my gluten-free. She treated us to some bubbly to celebrate my retirement. Thanks, Michelle - you made our night!
Mill manager - thanks for making it right. It was my last day of work/retirement celebration. I had my husband cancel a reservation at another restaurant in the Region for a special request window seat at the Mill to see the lovely river. Just as our meals arrived, a man sat at another table, insisting the heavy brown curtains be closed so the sun did not bother him. I shared my upset - instead of moving him or shifting his chair, the curtains were closed, gone was the view. We were eventually moved to the solarium with a lovely view. Thank you. That's why we came. Your famous for it.
Not impressed at all! Went for my 50th birthday with my Mom, mother in law, husband and son.
Had to give drink orders twice and the iced tea and wine came after asking again and 25 minutes after we got there, my drink was about 35 minutes of waiting. There was a very loud baby shower going on and we couldn't even hear each other talk but got no apologies from staff. Food was awful. Both burgers were on buns so wet was like someone poured water on them, they didn't give my mil chicken on her Alfredo and the gluten free Alfredo was inedible.
I had to get up to get service and personally ask for a doggy bag for my mom (nobody ate their plate of food ) and to top it all off when we finally got the bill they brought it directly to me...on my Birthday! Not impressed at all.
Went here for the Mother’s Day brunch. Atmosphere was very nice and they had a DJ playing music. I payed the extra $20 to get the steak and eggs since there wasn’t many gluten free options.
I asked for the steak to be prepared medium rare. Unfortunately it was very undercooked. Pretty disappointing. Service was pretty slow but it was busy as it was Mother’s Day.
The rest of my group had the small plates (2 plates at a time limit) they seemed to enjoy it. It was $300 for the 5 of us plus tip.
Had a first visit today at Java Jax. The food was amazing. Lots of options, including gluten free options. The service was excellent, friendly and courteous. The food is made in house, so we had to wait a few minutes, but it was totally worth it for the taste and the freshness. The soups are made in house and were incredible!! I also enjoyed a chai tea latte, which was perfect. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning! Thank you!
We were sat right in between two tables of two. It was uncomfortably close. You couldn't whisper privately. Ordered the ploughman's board as an appetizer. They accommodated my celiac with gluten free buns. The board had a huge piece of blue cheese. As one of the two types of cheese I tried to eat it since my husband hates it and we were out for his birthday. I asked the server if I could change my meal. I also asked him if it was normal for them to add a big wedge of blue cheese to a board as it's not widely enjoyed and he said you never know what you're going to get. He said no to changing my meal. Said it's already being started. I was told the safest option for me as a celiac was the order the cobb salad with no croutons. It is also loaded with blue cheese and I couldn't handle anymore. 20 minutes later my salad arrived which was definitely enough time to change a salad. I told the server when he asked why was I not eating my salad that I couldn't handle any more blue cheese. He took it away and never asked me if I wanted a box and it was on the bill. I paid the bill, but won't be back.
Pricey? Yes. But so worth it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first time here. The food was so fresh and lots of gluten free options. The fish pakora, chili chicken, naan and biriyani were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is nice, clean. Super intimate, small space, not much room for privacy.
The staff was friendly upon arrival and very helpful (and patient) when asking questions about the menu. Good Indian food is hard to come by in this city but Saffron is a new favourite place for us.
this is my new favourite place cause not only it was the food delicious but healthy and so many gluten-free options, which I love, but the staff are the most friendly amazing people !
I hate doing online things so I never leave reviews but for this restaurant, I made the exception because it’s just that good 😃
If there was an option to give more than five stars, I definitely would!
They were delicious and wicked! They catered a kids events event with various different nationalities and accommodated by making flavourful yet super mild food. All the children and adults were able to eat !!! Despite them giving extra and above what we ordered, the food was so good we ordered more and they were quick and efficient and getting it all ready! Great service, great accommodation. Eben made sure everything we ordered was gluten free!! Affordable and great taste! Definitely ordering and catering from them again! Thanks ;
Bestville kitchen!!!!
Recommended: it's pretty good for Subway. They remodeled a while back and it really brought life to the place. The staff are friendly and polite. They are quick to make your sandwich. I ordered a gluten-free sandwich and half-way into the order I asked about whether he heard my order. He said yes, but he wanted to finish the first two sandwiches so that he could change gloves. I appreciated the attention to allergy needs.
I ordered the all meat breakfast skillet, and it had zero meat.
Had to wait for the waitress to show her.
She was apologizing for the kitchen mistake.
Gluten-free toast ice cold and no butter on it.
She got me another breakfast melt.
My husband breakfast was great.
Nestled along the Grand River in the picturesque downtown of Galt, the Melville Cafe will supercede your expectations. The sight lines are awe-inspiring! The food and dessert selections are spectacular. My friends and I chose the gourmet pizzas. One friend is celiac and commented that it was the best gluten-free pizza she had ever consumed. The decor is inviting, and the staff are super-friendly and immaculately attired. The service and food were excellent.
The food is excellent. Will be coming back again. Got steak and kidney pie. The filling was so savory and flavourful. Great pastry. Also got a custard tart. Lovely consistency. 5 tables inside. Have gifts (colouring books and candles). Some of their imported snacks are gluten free. The owner is super lovely and friendly.
First time. Great place for a casual night with friends. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great options and modified items for Gluten Free and Vegetarian. Definitely recommend.
