We loved this place! The food was absolutely delicious and presented in a nice way.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and what really stood out was their knowledge about gluten intolerance. They even had a separate gluten-free menu.
Highly recommend this place, especially if you’re gluten intolerant or dining with someone who is.
Perfect breakfast!
The service was very friendly, and I especially want to highlight that they have spectacular gluten-free bread, to which you can add anything from the menu.
We'll be back!
They should review the allergen icons on their dishes. I have a peanut allergy, and we ordered a dish that didn't indicate it contained peanuts either in the dish description or on the icons. Luckily, they were above it, and I saw it. By law, the nut icon can't be used to indicate peanut content; peanuts have their own icon for a reason. I reported this, and the response was that they had a gluten-free option (????). I was very surprised and explained that incorrectly indicating the allergen on the menu has nothing to do with whether it contains gluten or not. I hope they review this, because aside from that, the food was excellent.
Excellent place for lunch or dinner.
The service is super attentive and friendly; the food is fantastic (on one note, entrecote is what we call a large steak in Castile, but the Angus pork shoulder is spectacular, as is the cuttlefish or the lamb chops).
It's also great for those with celiac disease. They have a special menu and a separate fryer, and they go out of their way to advise you.
A definite must-visit.
Great service and the ideal place to work, study or be with friends. The music is super pleasant and for those intolerant to gluten there are many delicious options! Furthermore, the issue of allergens is very well clarified in the letter. I loved it
Honestly, I'd heard good things about this place, but it's true, it was a while ago. I was disappointed, and the gluten-free options leave a lot to be desired. It's a shame.
I was so happy to find a cafe in Valencia that offers gluten and dairy free food options. The veggie burgers were delicious and the gluten free buns amazing! I also had a gluten and dairy free chocolate cookie and loved it. Not too sweet with just the right amount of chocolate. The fresh fruit drinks were also very good and I had the option of no sugar for my lemonade. Most other cafes make drinks with way too much sugar so this place is unique! Thank you Alma libre for an outstanding food and customer service experience! We will definitely be back!
I am celiac and I loved it. I ate wonderfully. The waiter attended to us with all kinds of details. Everything was delicious. I loved the mussels and the fried fish, but everything was super good. When I return to the area, I will definitely return.
Lucia .. a guarantee. Friendly, very sweet and helpful. I've just been here to try their Orxata (absolutely a must try), their chufa cookies and then she managed (exceptionally) to transform a simple gluten-free sandwich (empty packaged) into a super stuffed toast with guacamole artichokes and jamon serrano. Delicious!!! I highly recommend coming here :)
Amazing tradicional tapas place in El Carmen. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful, and the food was outstanding. The Ensalada de Tomate Valenciana was the best I have ever had. They also have gluten free bread and beer, and are happy to make adjustments for dietary requirements. I will definitely be back!
The food was exquisite, the portions generous, I have rarely eaten so well. The service was excellent, and then for dessert the gluten-free hazelnut cake, a real spectacle.!!!
To be pre-failures and we went around 3 we were able to eat 5 people outside on the terrace. There are no tables available inside, it is a small place.
The food is good, the prices are high, but being in the Torres de Serrano area you can understand it.
The menu is detailed with the allergen symbols, but in my case the beef sandwich did not say that it had cheese and it came with cheese, the waiter told me that he would take it away, I told him that they had to do it again and I approached the girls in the kitchen to say so and they told me that they were already doing it. Please keep these situations in mind since it is a health hazard.
According to what they told us, the breads were gluten-free and the cake we ate.
Terrace environment issue 0 since it is very narrow and people smoke and it is very uncomfortable.
For gluten free people, it is okay. I tried a gf item (some sort of chocolate / peanut butter layered bar) and it was quite large and cost about €5. I would say this is a fair price for a gluten free item, but it wasn't really worth the cost as I didn't particularly like it (however my roommate did so could just be my tastes). The atmosphere of the cafe was great- some studying others grabbing a coffee with friends. A bit overpriced (especially for Spain) but cute. The service was great and the workers are super kind :)
I ordered a chicken chivito and it was spectacular.
My wife is celiac, and they adapted the breakfast for her. It was very good (my wife's words).
Kudos to the cook!
Annie also served us, and she was very kind and attentive.
This place is a great choice.
New favorite restaurant.
The restaurant is beautiful, the food exquisite (and I'll emphasize that even though I'm not celiac or vegetarian, there are many options). They also have a very interesting system for choosing and combining dishes. It's healthy food, but not just a simple salad. Everything is delicious (the vegan sobrasada is delicious). It's not expensive for the quality they offer (we had dinner for €30 per person with two bottles of wine, one soft drink per person, two tapas, a single plate, and dessert).
The service, recommendations, friendliness, speed... absolutely perfect!
The restaurant itself isn't particularly special aesthetically, but it is very pretty, simple, and elegant.
A real discovery, we loved it!
I have a wheat allergy and they have the option of gluten-free toast, which is difficult to find, and I have some intolerances, with a good conversation I was able to taste the homemade red fruit jam with gluten-free bread, the delicious coffee I already bought to make at home.
I recommend this place for the attention and quality of what they serve.
I used to order through Globo because of the gluten-free option.
When I went in person I asked the waiter and he told me that the gluten-free opposition bread is gluten-free, but it is not suitable for celiacs or those allergic to wheat, since it is not made without cross contamination.
It's true that it's good, but I know why it made me feel bad.
The restaurant is located in a small square with a lovely fountain. The interior is cool and cozy for summer. The service is very attentive and pleasant. We received excellent service and excellent service throughout. The food exceeded expectations. It's also worth noting that they offer exceptional customer service for people with celiac disease. They offer a wide range of options and offer a lot of reassurance. We will definitely return.
I am only giving a review for the fact it is claiming it’s gluten-free here and there is nothing gluten-free. The coffee is good but a little expensive compared to many places in Valencia. It seems to be very popular with people in the neighborhood, but for me as someone who has celiac, I would not go here again.
Delicious food in a cute little place. They even had very nice gluten-free options and were knowledgeable about which dishes had gluten and how much (I am gluten intolerant and not allergic). The waitress even asked if the pasta can be cooked with other gluten pasta. The best thing was the waitress, she was very charming and welcoming. Definitely recommended!! :)
It was our first time here, and we'll be back. Excellent value for money, great service, and most importantly, for me, almost the entire menu is gluten-free. They have fried foods, gluten-free bread, and even battered dishes.
They also have many desserts. I had gluten-free carrot cake! You don't find that in many places.
Thank you so much for the service! 😋
We went to eat with the family and my wife unfortunately does not eat gluten and is vegetarian. When we told the innkeeper we did not feel any interest in looking for an option for my wife even though we asked him. It is important, no matter how Italian you are, that you seek to include people who cannot eat gluten and are vegetarians. That was not achieved in this restaurant and the waiter's response was what bothered us the most.
The place is wonderful! Good food, nicely decorated and excellent service! I had a gluten-free burrito and it was delicious! The cappuccino was also impeccable! I highly recommend it!
We went by chance, but it is one of the best places we have eaten. My wife has celiac disease and everything is very specific at all times. But above all the food is delicious.
I had a cold brew with an orange almond cake. The coffee was served in a small bottle that you could empty into the glass with ice cubes. The orange cake (gluten-free) was of course made with oranges from Valencia and was super tasty and not dry. If you're in Valencia and near the port, this is a really great cafe. Definitely try it out
Yesterday my partner and I ate here with a super nice couple we just met. We went because the girl usually goes with a friend who has celiac disease and I can't take gluten either. When I look at the menu, I see that almost everything has gluten and the only things they adapt are burgers and sandwiches. When asking about tapas, they tell me that they have gluten-free squid that they can make in a separate fryer. We ordered that for everyone, and some sandwiches (mine was gluten-free bread). When I had eaten half the plate of calamari, the girl came and told me that they had made a mistake and that they had given me the calamari from another table, so I contaminated it all. Even today I still feel like vomiting and have a headache. Yesterday I vomited several times. I didn't ask for the complaint forms because I was with these guys and I didn't want to get involved, but if you are celiac don't go to this bar. They neither notice nor control anything at all. I didn't get the waitress's apology, sorry. It is something very serious and they could have killed someone. They play with people's lives and they don't realize it, it's as simple as that, if you are not prepared to offer a proper service, don't give it. And if you want to do it, train yourself and do it perfect.
Pleasant service, fast even though there were a lot of people, and they had gluten-free food (although sometimes not in some restaurants of this chain, but this is not the case at Vips Alfafar).
We were eating on Tuesday before taking the train.
The very friendly manager suggested rice with partridge off the menu and that's what we ordered. We went with my celiac son and they adapted everything so that he could have the same thing. We ordered salad and they made the toast gluten-free, which is appreciated, and for dessert a gluten-free ice cream (they had gluten-free cakes on the menu as well). Everything was very rich.
All the staff in general are very pleasant, we will repeat when we return.
Good place to eat Valencian paella or any rice. Very attentive staff. well known allergens, gluten free option. All rice is gluten free.
Good tapas, good quality. Grateful salads and quality product.
The mussels are very good.
We definitely recommend it. They usually make rice and from 8 people you can choose several.
Normal price quality. Without a doubt to repeat. We recommend the Valencian paella.
A celiac-friendly place, they have plenty of gluten-free options and are careful with cross-contamination. We ordered clochinas, cuttlefish, and some lamb. Everything was very good. The place has a very quiet terrace and a children's playground next door. The service was very pleasant and attentive.
I visited this place and ate a gluten-free “cheescake” that looked more like a flan with red berries on top because it didn't have any cheesecake. I doubt it was gluten-free because I have celiac disease and after eating it my stomach hurt all afternoon. I had visited the Kaffeina in Russafa before and without a doubt it seemed much better.
The sandwiches are all very good, I recommend the Senyoret and the Terra y Mar. The granita is homemade and very good, and you can also make all the sandwiches gluten-free.
The staff is very attentive to offering great service and this shows. Especially recommended for celiacs, menu with options and a lot of willingness from the restaurant. We will return.
I went for lunch and I have celiac disease, to my surprise they have gluten-free options and bread. She is very conscientious and they fry the potatoes separately. Super good.
